And we are done! My longest story so far. Definitely the strangest story I have ever written... For a while I had my doubts about being able to complete it, and a few times I considered deleting book 2 altogether, and leaving it at that, with Sev and Harry parting ways amicably; but... someone said it wouldn\'t be fair to the readers who were on the journey with the characters so... here we are.
The character death warning – when I put it in, I was going to kill Harry. It made sense to me. I was going to have Harry die, peacefully and beautifully. Perhaps it would have made a better story, I even had the tearjerking dying scene written out for Harry, but then, I changed my mind. Just couldn\'t do it. How could I kill the boy who said, “Just let me love you”? I suppose I got more attached to him than I realized. (Also my plot beta, SoftObsidian74, stopped talking to me while I was contemplating killing Harry. So you can thank her for his survival.)
Anyway, many thanks to everyone, special thanks to SoftObsidian74, rettavex, and whitehound for helping with the story.
If you like hurt/comfort, and strange slavefics, my next story, called “Proof of Life” is coming up soon.
Also, another story is being written, called “Cruellest Summer” - it\'s a Snape/Luna story.
