Coming Out
Draco took Harry\'s hand, leading him off stage to the wall where they had waited their turn. The entire hall had eyes on them so Draco, ever one to bask in any non-negative attention, turned Harry quickly and pushed him against one of the slightly recessed pillars. He crashed his lips against Harry\'s laughing ones, the brunette not at all surprised. He slithered his arms around the blonde\'s back, hopping a little and clenching his legs around the slightly smaller bloke. It wasn\'t until their kiss turned so heated that Draco was grinding Harry into the wall, that the Headmistress\'s voice echoed through the hall.
"That\'s quite enough, Mr Malfoy, Mr Potter. Please conduct yourselves in a manner befitting Lords of your respective Houses." She chided sharply. They reluctantly broke apart, Harry lowering his feet back to the floor with a wry grin.
"Now. You\'re all dismissed to your OWN houses," she continued, casting a warning eye to the two young men. "And tomorrow morning we\'ll have the results of tonight\'s... spectacle."
"Hour after curfew...remember." Harry whispered into Draco\'s ear before extracting himself and joining his House in the exodus, throwing a longing look over his shoulder.
*~*~*
"Harry! Malfoy, really?"
"Oooh, I would have never guessed that you were gay, Harry!"
"Isn\'t it weird to be with a Slytherin?"
Harry just kept shaking his head, a beaming smile unable to leave his lips for longer than a second. He waited for the commotion to die down before he shrugged.
"There\'s not much to say...other than he\'s what I want. I don\'t care if nobody likes it. We do, and that\'s all that matters." He said, dismissing them with a shrug, moving off to plop down on the couch with Ron and Hermione.
"Are you sure you should have came out like that?" Hermione asked, frowning slightly.
"It would have happened anyway. At least this was my terms."
"That\'s true, but what about Malfoy\'s terms?" Hermione asked lightly.
"If he minded, he would have refused me." Harry said, giving his friends a patronizing look.
"Are you sneaking out again tonight, mate?" The question came from Ron.
"Yeah..." Harry sighed softly."
*~*~*
Draco paced back and forth in that fateful room, willing time to hurry up before he lost it. Time seemed to have heard his plea and Draco heard the click of the door. He spun and was met with a brilliant smile.
"Hi..." Harry whispered longingly, then yelped "Hey! What-?" He cried, shocked to see Draco slink to his knees with his head bowed. Harry hurried to his side, kneeling.
"Draco...what\'s wrong?" Harry asked, worried when the head raised and displayed hot, swift and shameful tears flowing down Draco\'s face.
"Harry...I\'m sorry. I...I just...I need..." Draco babbled, wrenching his embarrassed gaze away from the verdant gems. Harry\'s stomach dropped.
"You want to stop?" He asked flatly.
Molten silver found Harry in record time.
"No! No no no. Merlin no, Harry. I...I need help." He said, voice cracking. He waved his wand and dispelled the glamours from his face, revealing a sprawling bruise near his eye and moving across one cheek, a cut on his jaw just below it. The room shuddered with a deep growl.
"Who in the flying fuck did this to you?" Harry thundered. Draco winced and muttered too quiet for Harry to hear.
"Who!" He screamed.
"Nott! Theodore Nott and Pansy Parkinson!" Draco cried back, shaking. He gasped then, noticing the shimmer surrounding Harry in a magical aura.
"Harry..." Draco started, but Harry cut him off.
"I came tonight hoping to bugger you into a senseless mass of come, but it seems I need to go fuck over a few Slytherins." Harry bit out, standing. He tugged Draco up and lead him out of the room.
"How did they manage it?"
"Pansy threw a body bind at me...and Theo used...his fists. He favors physical fights. They weren\'t too happy that I, quote, bent over for the Hero." Draco muttered. Harry barked out a humorous laugh.
"Little did they know..."
It took Draco a few minutes to realize Harry was leading them back to the Slytherin common rooms.
"Wait, how do you know where the Slytherin rooms are?"
"Don\'t worry about it. Password?" Harry asked, gesturing to the blank wall.
"Slither." Draco said clearly. The wall shifted aside and Harry pulled Draco inside.
Once in, Harry swept the room with a keen eye and it came up wanting. He bellowed hard enough to rattle the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
"NOTT! PARKINSON! OUT HERE. NOW!"
Nobody made a move but there was a sound of pained shuffling through one door.
"So. You thought it would be perfectly ok for you to put your hands on what belongs to me, did you?" Harry asked softly, the quality of his tone frightening the pair deeper than his bellow ever could. There wasn\'t an answer.
"This is where I get really ticked. You know what I did too the Dark Lord, and you thought you\'d get away with doing the same thing? Hurting someone because they are different than you? Speak!" He barked. Pansy stuttered over herself, but Nott spoke up.
"He betrayed us. He bent over for the goodie goodie Gryffindor hero to ram his pathetic ass." The silence after was palpable. Finally Harry nodded as if agreeing.
"But you see...you have it all wrong dear Theodore. Draco didn\'t bend over for me." Harry started, tossing out a smirk before narrowing his slightly glowing eyes. "I bent for him. Does that improve him in your opinion?" Harry asked rhetorically. He didn\'t give the stupid young man a chance to answer. Harry sliced his wand down, slamming a curse into the pair.
"You may have mistaken the dynamics of our partnership. Sure, I let him fuck me, but that doesn\'t make me his bitch. It doesn\'t take away from who the fuck I am. What I am. And what I can do to those who piss me off. And when I do bugger his sweet brains out, that doesn\'t make him any less than what he is! You understand me?" Two vigorous nods were seen.
"Now, this curse I just put on you. If you ever come within five feet of him, or me, the curse will twist your insides until you can\'t move for screaming. I hear it\'s very unpleasant. Would you like to find out?" Two very hard shakes came from the mute pair.
"Don\'t even think about casting at him either. It\'ll go bad for you." Harry said, giving the room a hard stare before turning and leaving, Draco in tow.
"Harry..." Draco said quietly, jogging a little to catch up with the furious brunette.
"Yes?"
"Thank you..." Draco said, slipping his hand into Harry\'s.
"You\'re coming up to the tower with me. It\'s not safe for you down here tonight."
"The Gryffindors won\'t allow that!" Draco spat. Harry stopped abruptly just before the common room portrait.
"I won\'t give them a choice." Harry said sternly, frowning at the blonde.
"Victory." He told the Fat Lady, who swung open to admit them. Harry jerked his head towards the hole.
"In you go."
The common room was deserted, as Harry half expected, so without stopping to linger he drug Draco up the stairs and through the dorm doors.
"Harry! What-!" Started Ron. Harry silenced him with a look then pointed to Draco\'s face, who winced.
"Courtesy of his House. He\'s staying here tonight until McGonagall can fix it."
Ron nodded slowly, giving the blonde a mix of dirty and pitying looks. Harry felt Draco bristle but he tugged his hand.
"Stop. Let\'s go to bed." He said, moving them both to the only empty four poster before shoving Draco onto it playfully. The Gryffindors were shocked at the delighted laugh, something they had never heard from the blonde, and exchanged surprised looks. A laughing Draco sounded suspiciously like a normal person. The curtains were tugged closed, but not before the others heard a soft chuckle and a breathy moan then silence, a privacy ward expanding around the bed.
"That\'s quite enough, Mr Malfoy, Mr Potter. Please conduct yourselves in a manner befitting Lords of your respective Houses." She chided sharply. They reluctantly broke apart, Harry lowering his feet back to the floor with a wry grin.
