Mind Readers

As promised, at five o'clock sharp, Adrien was standing outside of Gryffindor Tower, waiting on his friend. Hermione stepped through the portrait hole, nervousness rising inside of her with every step she took toward him.

"Honestly, Hermione, your actions really do betray you." Adrien laughed at her, waving a pale finger in her face.

"Stop raping my mind." she stared crossly at him.

"I didn't have to." he smirked before he linked his arm in hers and proceeded to drag her to his father's classroom.

"Be honest, Adrien, how do you really feel about this? I mean, my... Attraction." Hermione asked.

Adrien stopped his pace and turned to position himself in front of her, placing his pale hands on the girl's shoulders to look her square in the eyes.

"To be quite honest, Hermione, I really do think it's hilarious." he dropped his hands from her shoulders, and shoved them into the front pockets of his hooded sweatshirt, but stayed where he was.

"And, to be frank, I think my father really needs it. He hasn't been attracted to a woman in ages." he finished, turning to continue the walk to the Dungeon.

"Plus, he asked me again just yesterday if you and I are dating. He's obviously interested to know about your love life."

"My love life? You're his son, of course he wants to know about yours." Hermione countered as the pair descended the steps.

"No." Adrian began with a laugh. "He doesn't. I've had girlfriends, Hermione. He knows I'm no virgin. The only thing he has ever said to me in regards to my love life, is that if I make him a grandfather before his preferred age, he'll hex me into oblivion."

The young witch and wizard arrived at the door to the classroom.

"Just be cool, Hermione. Because if you fuck up a Potion, then you're never ever getting laid." he teased.

Not waiting for a reply, he pushed the door open, and the two entered the dark classroom. Adrien pulled his wand from his pocket and gave it a flick, and the wicks of all the candles burst to life, illuminating the room.

"Adrien... Miss Granger. How nice of you two to finally join me." Professor Snape's silky voice came from behind them.

Adrien whirled around to face his father.

"Oh, sorry... Had a bit of a run in with a few friends in the corridor. Had to stop and chat for a few..." the younger Snape lied.

"Very well. Here's the list of the remaining Potions left to brew,-" Severus said as he handed a folded piece of parchment to his son.

"We will... start with the ones that require the most attention, and we can't stray from them. Once we get to the ones that require the least bit of attention, we'll be able to start more than a few at a time." he finished, once more raking his eyes over the girl before him.

Hermione's breath caught in her throat, feeling his penetrating gaze upon her, but before she knew it, he had averted his attention.

The three got busy brewing the Potions in question, and Hermione was left to tend to two of her own, while Severus and Adrien worked side by side on six different Potions. She had to think, it was fascinating watching the two work together. It always amazed her how alike Adrien and Severus were, when it came to wit and intellect, and especially Potion making. The girl couldn't help but wonder why she was so attracted to Severus, and not Adrien. The younger Snape was, after all, much closer to her age, but there was something about Severus that just got her gears turning. Perhaps it was the idea of being with an older man that made her so attracted to the tall, dark and handsome wizard.

Though Adrien was at times, quite snarky and matter of fact just as his father was, she had always loved the way he was so easy to talk to. She couldn't help but wonder if Severus was as easy to talk to as well. Once he got to really know someone, that is.

"Don't do that." Adrien suddenly warned, snapping Hermione out of her reverie.

She looked up to see them both looking at her expectantly; Severus raised a brow at her. She looked down and to her horror, realized that she was about to put an ingredient in the wrong cauldron.

"Oh... Sorry. Thank you, Adrien." Hermione said, truly thankful.

Severus smirked at her. "Perhaps you should pay better attention, rather than becoming distracted.... Day dreaming..."

Hermione's cheeks grew red hot, but she didn't say another word. This is what she got for being alone in a room with two of the most accomplished mind readers she had ever known. She sighed as she stirred her Potion, but was delighted as she watched it turn the desired bright purple color.

The more difficult Potions were completed with much success, and now the three were starting on the less difficult ones. Much to Hermione's nervousness and dismay, Adrien took advantage of the moment to leave the room.

"I've got to go to the loo." He informed them, throwing a wink at Hermione that Severus didn't see.

"Alright..." Hermione said slowly, watching after him as he turned his back, like a little lost puppy dog.

As soon as the door to the classroom closed behind her friend, her knees began to tremble as she glanced up from her Potion, catching sight of the Professor's dark eyes upon her. Forcing herself, once again, to tear her eyes away from him, she looked down into her cauldron to add another ingredient, and to stir it the instructed amount of times.

A shiver crept up Hermione's spine, as she watched him move out of the corner of her eye, and before she knew it, his rich silky voice came from directly behind her. She could even feel him, almost pressing up against her.

"You'll need to stir that... Counter clockwise now... Twice..."

She never thought hearing her Professor instruct her while she brewed a Potion could be so sexy. The girl visibly shivered as she did as she was told, and her breath audibly caught in her throat as he fully pressed himself against her to reach over to add another ingredient to the cauldron.

Hermione stood stark still as she watched his movements, and her breathing became more and more shallow when she felt his breath on her neck.

"Are you frightened of me?" the dark Professor spoke low, almost purring in her ear, sending another jolt of shivers down her spine. She wondered how long the thing would hold out if this kept happening.

The girl felt the space between her thighs soak her knickers, and she gasped.

"N-no..." she breathed, as she felt another wave of his breath caress the skin of her neck.

"Do I... Make you nervous?" he asked, in the same tone, his lips almost flush against her ear, but not touching it.

The girl just couldn't believe this was happening. She was so in shock that she forgot to answer the question, and she was disappointed when she felt him move away from her, right before the classroom door swung open again. She watched as the dark Professor continued to stir his own Potion on the other side of the table, acting as if nothing at all happened.

Adrien strode into the classroom, a look of disappointment falling over his face as the sight before him was of no spectacular note. They were just how he'd left them. So he thought. He took his position back, next to his father and threw Hermione a questioning glance. Severus stopped stirring the Potion he was working on, and went back to the supply room for another ingredient.

Hermione looked sideways, and Adrien had to contain a laugh, as he invaded her mind once more, eager to find out what happened.
