Staring at the scene in front of him, two masked men holding his brother and his lover with a dagger poised over their hearts, Dean knew the day he'd been fearing was here. The day he'd have to make a difficult, and possibly impossible, decision.

He knew he'd screwed up when he sent Harry and Sam in alone without checking out the grounds and scoping out the area, and now he was going to possibly lose the two people he cared about the most in the world.

Looking from one to the other, he caught the look in Harry's eyes and knew his lover was going to do something stupid.

Almost on cue, Harry grabbed the wrist of the hand holding the dagger and yanked it down and into his body. When he doubled over in pain, Dean used the opportunity to shoot the man holding him while Sam took care of the one that had been holding him when he became distracted by the commotion beside him.

Rushing to his lover's side, Dean shoved the dead man away and pulled Harry into his arms, brushing the blood away from his lips.

“Idiot what did you do that for?” Dean asked.

“Made the decision for you.” Harry said, coughing. Squeezing his green eyes closed when a bolt of pain ran through his chest, Harry laced his fingers through Dean's. “Not to sound mean or anything, but could you hurry the fuck up and get me to a doctor?”

Jumping up, Dean scooped Harry into his arms and ran towards his Impala with Sam beside him.

“You're driving, Sammy.” Dean said as he climbed into the back seat with Harry.

As the car peeled away from the warehouse, Dean did the one thing he'd never done in his life; prayed.
