Chapter 7
Title: Things Don’t Go as Planned

Summary: Hermione gets bitten by Lupin during her third year. During the course of that year she finds her soul mate, gets a surprise, has odd effects, puts up with prats, finds a unusual friend, puts up with a meddling Headmaster, and wonders why the world has gone to hell, HG/RL pairing.

Chapter 7
Things started to quiet down at Hogwarts and while Remus, Hermione’s nightmare was still around, she didn’t have to transform with him. Despite the fact that they were suppose to transform together since they were mated Dumbledore didn’t want another shouting match the next morning. Hermione could tell that Remus wasn’t happy or was it Moody. When Hermione had finished her transformation she thought over what Harry had said. Even though she knew that Harry was right it didn’t change that she didn’t want him to know, not until she was ready.
On the other hand Ginny wasn’t happy that Harry wasn’t around. She knew that Ginny cared deeply about Harry but Hermione doubted that Harry would ever notice her.
“Snape is going to kill him,” Ginny told her.
“I highly doubt that,” Hermione said.
“What’s up with you defending Snape all the time?” Ginny asked, “Are you fucking him to get-.”
Hermione growled at her. How dare she accuse her of doing that? The shear thought of being with Snape in that way made her want to shower.
“What’s your problem?” she asked.
“Don’t you ever accuse me of that,” Hermione snapped, “So who are you with and don’t tell me that it’s someone that I know.”
“I’ve got no idea what you’re talking about,” Ginny said.
Hermione snorted and then said, “Don’t lie to me.”
“Who I’m with isn’t any of your concern,” she told Hermione.
“Yeah, it is,” Hermione told her.
“Well I’m not going to tell you,” Ginny told her and then stormed out.

Harry had no idea why he had even agreed to come. He hated Snape but Snape had told him that if it wasn’t important he wouldn’t have asked him. He also thought over about what he had told Hermione. He hoped that she told Lupin that he was going to be a dad. He had gone years without his parents and he didn’t want some kid to suffer like he had. Prince Manor was HUGE and Harry gaped at everything.
“Do you want to see what I’ve got for you or are you going to stand there and act like a goof.”
“Sorry, sir,” Harry said, remembering to be respectful.
“Then follow me.”
Harry followed the Professor down the hall until they reached the last door. Snape knocked three times and then it opened. A little girl came out and slammed into Snape. Harry thought that Snape was going to hex her but all he did was picked her up, causing her to scream in delight.
“DADDY’S HOME!” the little girl screamed.
Harry stared at what the girl said and he followed Snape inside, knowing that’s what the man would want.
“Sev,” said the voice that Harry had only heard when the Dementors were around.
Harry stared at the woman that looked like his mum and then he fainted.

Hermione hurried after Ginny. She wanted to know who Ginny was seeing and who she was dating. True it was pretty low to do, not trusting Ginny, but she just had to know. It was killing her as much as having Lupin attached to her ass for longer than ten minutes. Hermione stopped and hid just as Ginny looked around. When she saw that she didn’t think that she was being followed she continued on her way.
Hermione gave a huge sigh of relief and then continued following.
Ginny opened a door ten minutes later and Hermione watched, shocked, when Theodore Nott came out. She wrapped her arms around him and they kissed. Hermione couldn’t believe that Ginny Weasley, a Gryffindor, was seeing Theodore Nott, a Slytherin. She had a bad feeling that Ron would explode.

“Sweetheart,” said a voice that caused Harry to wake up.
At once his mum came into view and Harry hurried to get away.
“Well at least we know that he’s responsive,” Snape said.
“This has to be a bloody trick,” Harry said.
“It’s not,” Snape told him.
“But she died, she was murdered,” Harry said.
“I thought that I was dead,” the woman that looked like his mum said, “But Sev manage to save my life and I fell in-love with him.”
Harry couldn’t believe this and then, “Can I take him to his room, daddy?”
“Of course, darling,” Snape said.
“Come on, I want to show you your room,” she said.
Harry didn’t want to go; he wanted to yell at Snape for making his Christmas hell. However he got up and followed the little girl out of the room.

“I’m worried about Harry,” Lily said, “He didn’t react well when he saw me.”
“Can you blame him, he thought that you were dead,” Snape said.
Lily sighed and asked, “Will it get better?”
“I assure you that it will.”

Note: Giggles, now we know who Ginny is with. Also the little girl will be coming to Hogwarts when Harry is in his fifth year. The son will be learning next year. Next up: Harry meets his brother, Hermione gives Ginny some advice, and Moody is on the prowl.
