The Sexual Education of Remus J. Lupin

Chapter 7

Lesson Seven: Mine
______________________________________________________________________

It was then that he noticed the night sky was beginning to brighten, and he pushed himself up with a great amount of effort, his head swimming and mind going fuzzy for a moment as all the blood rushed to his brain. Well, at least now he could think properly again. So, they'd spent the entire night out in the field having sex. Remus wondered exactly how many hours they'd actually been at it, it all seemed to have happened in an instant now that it was over.

Then, a thought occurred to him. What with the protective spells he'd cast, James and Lily, and that other girl. What was her name? I didn't matter anyways. They were all, or at last Lily and James, probably extremely worried about him and Sirius. He suddenly felt a rush of guilt and began to look around, his hand finding his wand and cleaning up the mess of cum first, though secretly leaving the bit inside him where it was. It was like a little secret that he still had the remains of their love making inside, and he liked that idea. He then began to pull on his clothes, heaving a great weary sigh.

He was so damn tired now, all he wanted to do was sleep. "Sirius, get dressed." he said softly, pushing the other's shirt onto his chest and then settling back on his knees for a moment to catch his breath again. "Gotta go in, let them know we're aright." he said, though all he really wanted to do was lay there with Sirius and fall asleep in the grass.

It felt good to Sirius, laying in the grass like that with Remus, both of them basking in the afterglow of what just happened. It seemed to Sirius these past days with Remus had came and went far too quickly. They would be heading back to Hogwarts soon. He wasn't sure if he liked that idea too much. He still had that image to look after. He wasn't even sure if he was ready to come out of the closet yet. Hell, he wasn't even sure he was really into men. Being into one man was surely different than being into all of them, right? Sirius didn't know. And that was far too much for his overly exhausted brain to think about. Especially post sex. That was not something he should be thinking about post-coitus.

His eyes closed for a few moments, smiling widely after Remus pressed a kiss to his lips. “I love you too, Remus Lupin.” He said, allowing himself to relax a bit more. He had said that very statement several times in the past 24 hours, and it seemed to get much easier to say the more he said it. He heard Moony moving around, presumably getting dressed. Sirius didn't blame him, he wouldn't want to lay in the grass completely naked either. All Sirius really wanted to do was lay there and sleep.

That happy thought soon left him when the other pressed his shirt against his chest and said they should get dressed and go back. Sirius groaned softly. He didn't want to move, let alone walk back to the house and try to think of some kind of explanation for where they had been gone. He sighed softly and opened his eyes, shrugging his shirt on over his shoulders and buttoning the bottom four buttons, leaving the top three unbuttoned. He then brought a hand up to his hair, that already unruly dark mop of hair sporting a brilliant sex hairdo. Running his fingers through the hair, he attempted to make it not look like he had just shagged Remus senseless for a few hours.

Finally, when the boys were dressed, Sirius stood up, extending his hand out to Remus to help the smaller of the two stand. He was sure that Remus was much more exhausted than he was. Offering another smile, Sirius kissed Remus' head and began to tug the boy back over the hill. “I bet Evans had a conniption.” Sirius said with a laugh, yawning as the two made their way back to James' house. “So..” He continued after a brief moment of silence between the two. They were getting quite close to James' place. “What are we gonna tell them? Where have we been all night?” Sirius asked, raising his eyebrows. Surely Remus didn't want to tell everyone what they had been doing all night.

Remus couldn't help but laugh slightly at the mention of Lily freaking out. Yeah, Sirius was probably right. She was the type to loose it pretty easily, and Sirius and Remus going missing for an entire evening, after the dramatic exit, was more than enough to send her into 'holy shit' mode. At the question, though, he paused, tugging Sirius' wrist to get him to stop. "Hang on." he said, pulling out his wand. He waved it once and the protective barrier disappeared, leaving old spells laying around was never a good idea. Then, he hummed a little and looked at Sirius' face.

"I know, we'll tell them we got into a big fight and then we both knocked each other out, and we came to and made up just a little while ago?" he suggested. He frowned, though. Would they really believe that? Sirius and Remus were both exceptional duelists, but if it had come down to a physical fight, as it most likely would have since they were so emotional at the time, Remus would've lost for sure.

He let out a small sigh and bit his lip. "I don't know, I don't think that's good enough." he said, starting to pace. His brain was still a tad fuzzy, and he was running on no sleep at all, he really didn't like not being able to formulate a simple cover-up. "We could just tell them the truth. Erm, well partially." he suggested. Telling them that they had spent all night shagging was out of the question, but telling them that they had simply made up, and become boyfriends? That…well, it wasn't nearly as embarrassing, at least not to Remus. He knew Sirius probably wouldn't be up for it, though, what with his damned reputation.

Sirius found himself in quite a predicament. He was sure that if he told Remus that he wanted to keep their relationship a secret, that he would once again make Remus upset at him. But it wasn't as if Sirius was ashamed of Remus, because that wasn't the case at all. He just..wasn't sure. He didn't want to come out of the closet if he would just end up going back in it if he and Remus ever had some kind of break up. He didn't want to hurt Remus either, by keeping things a secret. All of this was way too much thinking, and Sirius was functioning on very little energy and even less sleep. That meant his ability to think clearly was zero to none.

“Howwww aboutttt...” He began, taking Remus by the hand for another moment and pulling the other male closer to him. “How about we just not say anything about where we've been. I'll talk to James by myself, and tell him to keep Evans from asking too many stupid questions. That way, we can decide who we want to tell and when we want to tell them after we've got some sleep. Sound good?” he was surprised at himself. Being able to come up with that brilliant plan on the fly while functioning on zero sleep was quite amazing to him.

Remus was a bit surprised as well, but thankful all at once. His brain, as well as his body, was tired. So, leaning into the warmth happily, he agreed. "Sure, that sounds fantastic." he said, standing up on his toes to press a kiss to Sirius' stubbly chin, before licking him there as well, playfully. "Now let's get back before I pass out." he said. So, hand in hand, they walked back, until they got to the back door, where Remus was the one to let go. He understood why Sirius would be nervous to have everyone knowing, and he wanted to re-assure him that he was fine with keeping it a secret for now.

Things went exactly as Sirius had planned, and they both spent the rest of that day asleep, and much of the following night asleep as well. It seemed that the combination of fucking one another senseless, and not sleeping prior to said fucking, was stronger than any sleeping draft could've been. Once Remus and Sirius joined the land of the conscious and awake once more, the rest of the week went by without so much as a disturbance. On Wednesday, Remus and Sirius made a quick trip back to Remus' folks house to pick up their belongings, and the letters that contained their shopping lists for the upcoming year at Hogwarts, only to return to James' house that very evening.

Finally, it was the last day of Summer holiday, and Remus, James, Lily, and Sirius had all gone out together to a local restaurant to have a nice dinner and celebrate a rather wonderful break, and to make a toast to a new year at Hogwarts. It was a nice little place, pub-like, but serving as a normal restaurant as well. The four teenagers were sat in a booth, Lily and James on one side, James' arm around his girl, with Remus and Sirius across from them. Remus and Sirius were playing secret footsie under the table, unbeknownst to Lily and James, at least they hoped so anyways.

It was then that their waiter came over to the table to take their orders. He was a tall, handsome looking bloke, with silvery white blond hair and a charming smile. He took their orders just fine, until he reached Remus. He paused, staring at him for a moment, before leaning in slightly.

"Can I get you a drink, on the house of course?" he asked, winking at him. Remus blinked, and then went completely pink. Was…was this stranger actually hitting on him? He looked nervously from James, to Lily, to Sirius, and then back at the man. Remus had never been blatantly hit on like that before, and he found himself not knowing at all how to react. He didn't want to be rude or anything, but…Well, he obviously had no interest in him either.

Sirius, glad to have had one great idea even though his brain wasn't functioning so well, held Remus' hand until the reached James' door. He was surprised, yet relieved, when Remus let his hand go. It wasn't that Sirius was ashamed. He was just..anxious. He had just come to terms with the fact that he loved Remus, and the thought of exclaiming that to the whole world, while it was a cute idea, made the dark haired male quite nervous. The trip inside was nothing out of the ordinary. The two had managed to slip by without causing too much of a ruckus, and spent the following day and night sleeping off that sexcapade they had in the field.

On Wednesday, the pair made the quick trip back to Remus' house to get their stuff, and the letters for Hogwarts. Sirius had managed to sneak all of the photos he took of Remus into his rucksack before the werewolf knew any better. All in all, the two, as well as Evans and James, had a nice little week together. Sirius, of course, loved being around Prongs, and he loved any chance he could have to drive Evans crazy. They had even managed to play a game of quidditch of two, over the field near James' house. Sirius shot Remus covert, sexual glances during the entire match, since they were flying right over the place where the boys had shagged.

The last day of Summer holidays came far too quickly, Sirius thought. He didn't want the summer to end, even though he loved being back at Hogwarts. James had decided to take the four of them to a pub-like restaurant in town, and Sirius was all for another chance to get drunk one more time before he had to go back to Hogwarts. He could drink there, of course, if he nicked wine and fire-whiskey from the kitchens. It seemed like the cherry on top of a really good summer, though. With Lily and James on one end of the booth, Sirius and Remus on the other. Sirius and Remus were attempting to be secretive about touching each other under the table, and were doing quite a good job of it too. Sirius had his hand on Remus' thigh, his fingers resting between Remus' legs, while Remus kept touching Sirius feet with his own. The dark haired boy couldn't help but smile. It was a good thing James was so distracted with Evans, he decided.

When the waiter came 'round to get their Drink orders, Sirius looked at the drink menu and said, with a deliberate kind of voice “I'll have a scotch.” James raised an eyebrow, shot a curious look at Lily, who nodded her head. “One for me too, thanks.” James said, grinning wildly at his best friend from across the table. Everything seemed to be going just fine, Sirius had thought. That was, until the waiter got to Remus. Sirius, who had been paying more attention to the menu of food than the waiter, lifted his head when he heard the guy speak to Remus. Just as he lifted his head, Sirius caught the waiter winking at his Remus, and it seemed like every drop of blood in his body was boiling. That could not possibly have happened. He couldn't have actually winked at Remus, could he? Surely not. Surely. But with Remus glancing around awkwardly, Sirius knew that the waiter had, in fact, made a pass at the boy next to Sirius.

It was all the dark haired male could do to keep himself composed. That territorial feeling began to rise up, spreading throughout his entire body, until he felt quite hot. He was sure that if someone were to feel his skin at that very instant, they would have been burned. But he had to keep calm, he couldn't just blow this entire secret operation that Remus and he had going on under the table. The male took a deep, pseudo-calming breath, and sat up a bit straighter, coughing loudly into his hand to get the waiter's attention. He remembered that Remus had called those fizzy drinks at the movie theatre cokes, so with another clearing of his throat, Sirius said “He'll have a coke. Now bugger off and get those drinks.” His voice was calm, but those eyes, the ones glaring a hole right in the middle of the waiter's forehead, looked deadly. The waiter smirked and picked up the drink menus from the table. “'I'll be right back then.” Sirius thought the waiter sounded too snarky for his own good, and he didn't like it at all. Before the waiter left, he gave Remus another wink, which caused Sirius to nearly have a conniption. That wasn't normal, was it? He shouldn't be that protective over Remus. The other was a big boy after all.

But that didn't stop Sirius from wanting to rip all four of the waiter's limbs off one by one, before throwing the pieces off the astronomy tower. So he was a little over-protective. That was alright, wasn't it? Remus was his after all.

As soon as the waiter had winked at him, and made a rather blatant pass at him, he knew it wasn’t going to end well. Before he and Sirius had even become boyfriends, the other had always been quite protective and possessive over him. Perhaps that was due to unknown feelings hidden beneath the surface? Either way, that wasn’t important now. What was important was that Sirius maintain his composure, and not cause a scene. It was their last day of Summer holiday and the last thing any of them needed was for Sirius to get them kicked out of the pub, or to land himself in muggle jail for fighting.

When the waiter left, Remus placed a hand on Sirius knee under the table and gave it a gentile squeeze. “Calm down.” he said under his breath, smiling awkwardly at Lily and James, hoping they hadn’t thought too much of what had just happened. “And I can order for myself, thanks. I was actually considering having one of those...those...teeny things? You know, martini?” Remus frowned a little. What were those alcoholic drinks called his mother always drank? Well, whatever, he was going to have coke, apparently, and Sirius had decided that.
He didn’t really mind of course. Sirius being all protective over him like that was very sweet, in it’s own sort of way. Remus was about to continue with their little under-the-table game, and it was just then that the waiter returned. He set down the drinks for the other three, and then as he set down the coke in front of Remus, he winked again. “I put a few cherries in it, something special for the cutest guy in the restaurant.” he said in a slightly hushed voice.

Remus had never seen someone so forward. Well, okay, he’d never seen anyone quite as forward as Sirius was, before, besides Sirius. It was an awkward thing, being hit on like that. He didn’t really know what to do or say, so he settled on a simple. “Thanks.” His ears very pink again, Lily giggling softly under her breath and kicking him under the table as if to tease him a bit.

Sirius was not about to calm down, not for a single second. He knew exactly the kind of person that waiter was, because..well..he was exactly like Sirius. Far less attractive than Sirius, of course, that was a given. But he knew that wink, and it would be a cold day in hell before that guy winked at his Remus again. “You can have a martini after you're done with that, I just wanted him to leave.” Sirius whispered back, sighing a bit under his breath. The raven haired boy infront of him shot Sirius a curious sort of look, but dropped it for now. Perhaps he had caught wind of that secret game Sirius and Remus were trying to play under the table. Regardless, the darker male scooted to the side a bit, away from Remus, and closer to the wall. Sirius was on the inside of the booth, bless him. He couldn't leave at the moment, even if he wanted to.

When that waiter came back with the drinks, Sirius picked up his glass of scotch and sipped it slowly. He would have normally enjoyed that sort of thing, had it not been for the comment the waiter had made to Remus about the cherries in the drink. Having just taken a sip of his scotch, upon hearing those words, Sirius coughed loudly, causing himself to choke on the liquor. He swallowed it, thankfully, but the amber liquid seared the inside of his throat, causing him to cough a bit more. This guy had some nerve, Sirius would give him that. But that was all Sirius could give him, aside from a swift kick in the bollucks for flirting so openly with Remus infront of him.

It was all the boy could do to keep himself from standing up and socking the waiter right in the face. So Sirius was confrontational, everyone knew that. And he was territorial, possessive, everyone knew that too. He chanced a glance at Remus, noticing the male went pink around the ears. And Remus had the nerve to be mad at Sirius for flirting with James' cousin? That was rich, really rich, Sirius thought, shaking his head and taking another larger, almost gulp of that liquor in his glass. The scotch seared his throat again, but he didn't care. He wanted to get completely pissed drunk before the night was over, especially if he had to deal with that waiter all night.

He set his drink down after that long swig and glared pointedly at that waiter once more. “You gonna let us order food, or are you just going to stand there looking stupid all night?” So Sirius was rude, that wasn't a surprise. His comment got a snorting sort of laugh out of James, which he hastily turned into a cough at the look on Lily's face.

Remus winced at the tone in Sirius’ voice. Yeah, he was pretty much angry as hell now, and Remus knew it. He’d have to at least attempt to pacify the situation, though he didn’t really know exactly how to do it without giving anything away.

The waiter leaned back, giving Sirius a shrug, and turning to face James. Their food orders were given, and then he was gone again. Remus glanced over at Sirius and kicked him under the table this time. “You’re acting like a right git, Sirius.” he hissed under his breath. “Don’t be so rude!”

It wasn’t as if Remus liked being hit on or anything, he was simply trying to protect their secret that Sirius had wanted to keep so badly in the first place. He was trying to do Sirius a favor, and the dark haired boy wasn’t exactly making it an easy task.

About fifteen minutes or so later, the food arrived, and it was all set down in front of them, this time the waiter not really lingering too much. Maybe he’d learned his lesson from Sirius’ harsh words. However, when it came time to pay the check, which James had insisted on paying completely on his own, he slipped a little bit of paper to Remus that had his name and phone number on it.

“Call me some time, we’ll have some fun.” he said, flashing a charming smile at him before turning to leave and retrieve James’ change. Remus stared at the piece of paper sitting on the table in front of him as if it were a snake or something, knowing that this was just the sort of thing to make Sirius explode.

Once they were done with dinner, which James insisted that he pay for alone. Sirius suspected that had something to do with Prongs wanting to look good for Evans, but he didn't complain. It wasn't as if he had muggle money to spend on this dinner anyway. At first, the dark haired male hadn't noticed the waiter slipping a piece of paper to Remus. It was that comment that made Sirius lift his head back up. If looks could have killed, that waiter would have been dead like he just got hit by the killing curse. Never, not once, ever, in his entire life, did Sirius feel more enraged with jealousy than he did in that exact moment.

As the waiter turned to get James' change, Sirius stood up. “Right. Okay.” He said, his voice feigning calm, but the tone showed just how much rage he was trying to subside. Ignoring Remus completely, again, Sirius stepped over the other, and got out of the booth. He was sure that Remus, James, or Lily had said something to him, but he didn't care. He couldn't hear them. His mind was fixed solely, and completely on that waiter. He could see the back of the guy's head, seeing as how he was turned to work that machine that would give James his muggle money change. Walking carefully, but quickly, he approached the other male, stopping when he was directly behind him. He took a deep breath, and before the guy could react, Sirius pushed him from behind as hard as he could. Which was pretty damn hard, considering Sirius was fit and knew how to defend himself, physically and with magic.

The waiter went forward, his front smashing against that money machine. “OI! Come on then.” Sirius said, his voice still full of rage, though taking a bit of a teasing tone now. The waiter whipped around, but Sirius was ready for him, raising his fist and swinging, landing a punch square on the muggle waiter's nose. Blood splurted from the guys' nose and onto Sirius' knuckles. “You want to fuck with things that aren't yours, eh? You want to mess with people that aren't yours?” Sirius' voice was loud, but he didn't care. The entire restaurant had blurred, and his senses were centered completely on his now bleeding opponent.

The dark haired male knew that people would be on him at any moment, pulling him away from this waste of space, but he didn't care. Using what precious few seconds he had left, Sirius pulled his bloody fist back, and landed two solid punches on the boys' cheek. It was then that James showed up, pulling Sirius back by the arms. “WHAT THE HELL PADFOOT?” James was yelling, but Sirius barely registered it. Bringing a hand up to his nose, he wiped his face for a moment before gathering up some saliva in his mouth and spitting on the now bleeding waiter.

He turned on his heel a moment later, pushing past James, and the rest of the people in the restaurant, until he was out of the pub and outside. He should have probably ran, but he couldn't. He had no idea what had made him so angry, he had no idea what had made him do what he did. But he did it, and he was sure Remus was going to leave him for it. He heaved a huge sigh, his heart racing and pounding against his chest. Sirius then began to walk, until he was at the edge of the parking lot. It was then that he sank to the ground, sitting himself down on a slab of concrete that was being used as a curb.

Remus saw Sirius walking towards the waiter, and was scrambling to get out of the booth to stop him, but he wasn’t fast enough. He heard a sickening crack, and knew that Sirius had broken the waiter’s nose. This was bad. It was beyond bad, it was potentially one of the most terrible situations they’d been in. He watched as James rushed forward, pulling Sirius back, after a few more punches, and a bit of spit, had been sent the poor waiter’s direction. Remus felt himself growing angry as well, but angry with Sirius.

He was acting like a complete and total moron. So, he couldn’t simply tell the guy to bugger off because Remus and him were together, but he could just go ahead and nearly kill him instead? That...was not okay. Not okay at all. Remus rushed forward after Sirius and James had left, Lily at Remus’ side now. They both had their wands out, and glancing around, noticed that no one else had seen the commotion, thank Merlin.

“Episkey.” Lily hissed under her breath, her wand pointed at the waiter’s face. A quiet snapping sound was heard, and his nose had been righted. She then performed another spell to clean up the blood, and Remus pointed his wand at the man’s forehead after checking again to make sure they were all clear.

“Obliviate.” he said softly, watching as the other’s face seemed to relax into a rather serene and happy expression. The waiter stood up and held out the change he’d been gather with a small smile. “Please come again.” he said, his voice a bit dreamy.

Remus shoved the muggle money into his pocket before heading out to the front of the resturaunt with Lily. He saw Sirius sitting down on the curb, and advanced on him quickly. He pulled him to his feet by his collar, with strength he didn’t even know he had. “Sirius Black you are...you are...!” he coudln’t find the word to describe him. To describe how angry he felt. Then...smack! Remus had hit Sirius across the face as hard as he could, which sent Sirius reeling backwards a few steps.

He’d begun shouting again as well, though he wasn’t making any sense, and James had rushed forward and was pulling him back, away from where Sirius stood. James at least knew well enough to keep Remus from hurting Sirius any further.

Sirius had expected Remus to come out and find him eventually. Sure enough, sooner rather than later, Sirius lifted his head after a moment to see Remus Lupin making a beeline towards him. “Here we go.” He said softly, to himself. But before he could do much else, Remus had lifted Sirius up by the collar, until he was in a standing position. He knew Remus was angry, and the shouting was something he expected. What he hadn't expected, however, was that smack to the face. Remus' hand landed on Sirius face, and it sent the black haired boy stumbling back a few paces. His head was down, his eyes closed, and he took a deep breath, his hand coming up to his face to touch the now warm cheek that Remus had smacked.

He heard more shouting, though he wasn't sure what Remus was saying. Before he knew it, James had arrived and had pulled Remus back a bit. He knew he should have taken this situation more seriously, but he couldn't. The liquor in his system had kicked in, and all the boy could do was laugh. And he laughed loud. When he lifted his head back up, he had a smirk on his face. Though, when he spoke, his voice was filled to the breaking point with venom. “Oh that's pretty rich Moony.” Sirius said, taking a step towards the werewolf that James was holding onto. “That's really fucking rich.” Another step forward, his voice harsh. He shouldn't have been mad at Moony, but he was. This didn't seem very fair to him.

“You can be jealous and mad if I do anything wrong, but the one time I try to stand up for you and look after you, you act like I'm a big fucking disgrace.” Yep, that was definitely the liquor talking. “What? You're ashamed that Sirius Black gets into fights? WHAT? YOU'RE NOT HAPPY NOW, HUH?” His voice grew louder and he took another stumbling sort of step towards Remus. James, who had been busy trying to restrain Remus, stepped between the boys and put a hand out to each of them. “Stop it.” James said, but he was drowned out by Sirius again. “I'M SO BLOODY SORRY REMUS, I'M SO FUCKING SORRY THAT YOU'RE ASHAMED. “ Sirius sure knew how to jump to conclusions, didn't he?  “I WASN'T KICKED OUT OF MY FUCKING HOME THIS SUMMER DUE TO THE SAME FUCKING REASON OR ANYTHING, WAS I?” He was yelling now.

His hands were shaking, and were he a weaker man, he probably would have started to cry. His heart hurt, his head hurt, his face hurt, and he didn't want to do this. “Why don't you go back in there..” His hand flung out, pointing at the pub. “And make sure that slimey waste of fucking space is alright, because you sure don't seem to give a fuck about Sirius Black.” Sirius wanted to say more, but he couldn't. He physically couldn't. His heart felt like it was literally going to burst out of his chest, but not in a good way. Breathing heavy, blinking his eyes wildly to prevent tears pouring out of them, Sirius stepped back and fell back down on the ground, landing on his back on the grass, his feet on the concrete, damn lucky that he didn't bust his head open on the curb. If someone would have asked Sirius why he got so mad, and so upset, he wouldn't have been able to tell them. He was jealous, and he felt stupid. Stupid for getting in a fight, stupid for fighting for someone who only got mad at him for doing so. Remus was stupid, this situation was stupid, and Sirius' heart was hurting.

Remus was glowering at him as he shouted, acting like a complete idiot. He’d seen drunken Sirius plenty of times before, but never belligerant drunken Sirius. This was just riciulous. Sirius was accusing him of being ashamed? That was ludicrus. Sirius was obviously the one who was ashamed. He was the one that wanted to keep their relatoinship a secret, not Remus. Then Sirius was shouting for him to go back and take care of the guy that had caused all of this stupiditiy. Remus growled a little and managed to break free from James’ grip. He didn’t care anymore. He didn’t care that James and Lily were there, and frankly, he didn’t care what Sirius wanted him to do at the moment.

He walked forward, and for a moment, James and Lily thought he was about to hit Sirius again. Instead, he dropped down to his knees in front of the other, his eyes fierce, that sort of wolf-esque feature glowing about them once more. This time, it wasn’t a sexual thing, though. It was something else. Protective, possessive, whatever you wanted to call it.

He put his hands firmly on Sirius shoulders and forced him to look into his eyes, a finger moving to tilt his chin up just slightly. “Don’t you dare think for one second that I am, or would ever be ashamed of you.” he said, his voice deeper than usual, and a bit gravely as well. “I am not going back in there because I don’t belong in there with him. I belong here, with you. With the idiot who, though it was a completely and utterly stupid thing to do, just fought for me.” he held Sirius like that for a moment, before leaning in and pressing a fierce and dominating kiss to his lips, not even giving the fact that Lily and James were standing right there, watching this whole exchange, a second thought.

It occurred to Sirius, but only for a moment, that James and Lily could see this entire scene. He shook his head for a moment to clear that thought out of his mind. He didn't have the emotional or mental capacity to think about that at the moment. Sirius barely registered that Remus had approached him, though he did feel those hands on his shoulders. He looked up, staring at Remus with a look of mixed confusion and pain. The boy wanted to reply, he really did. He wanted to call Remus some more names, because that surely would have made him feel better. But he didn't, and he couldn't. Before he knew it, Remus had pressed a fierce kiss to his lips, right there infront of Evans and Prongs.

Instinctively, Sirius brought a hand up to Remus' face, and kissed him back hard, putting every single bit of fear, anger, and pain he felt at that moment into the kiss. It was hard, rushed, feverish. And both the boys needed it. Somewhere, in the back of Sirius' mind, he knew that he probably shouldn't be snogging Remus like this infront of everyone, but the rest of his mind didn't care. The other hand wound it's way around Remus' neck, and pulled the boy as close as he could possibly get him. The two males were interlocked, kissing each other with as much of themselves that they could give, pushing themselves as close as they could get.

After a moment of that fierce embrace, Sirius heard a loud cough, followed by Evan's saying “Oh. My. God.” That caused the drunk pureblood to pull away from his mate for just a moment, head buzzing from all of what had happened, his eyes attempting to focus on James and Lily. When his eyes cleared, he shot a glance at James, who was shaking his head and laughing. Evans looked like she was in complete shock. “Took you long enough.” James said, shaking his head some more and wrapping an arm around Evans. Sirius turned his head to the side, glancing from James, to Remus, and back to James again. “Huh?” The dark haired boy asked, raising an eyebrow. James chuckled. “If you guys thought you were fooling anybody with that stuff under the table, and being M.I.A for an entire night..” James began, but Lily cut him off, her eyes still wide “Then you're both gits.'  -done-
Remus felt his face growing pink once more. He had to remind himself that, though he never used to blush for any reason, it seemed that now he was going to have to get used to the sensation, as no matter what he did, it seemed to keep happening. So they had known. Of course they had known. James and Lily were both extremely clever, and besides, Remus had always been a horrible liar. Sirius, though a bit better at it, seemed to lose his normally cool way of hiding things anyways, when it came to Remus, and so, they had been officially discovered.

He gave Sirius a look of curisoity, wondering how the boy was going to take all of this. Then, realizing that Sirius was probably a bit too drunk to process what was going on completely, he sighed, and kissed him on the cheek. “Please, don’t do that again.” he said, standing up and tugging Sirius to his feet one more. He then turned to James and Lily, and scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

“Um...well, what can I say? Surprise?” he said, laughing a bit. James burst out laughing again as well, and Lily just shook her head. “Honestly, I can’t believe you two even bothered trying to hide it from us. What did you expect us to say anyways?” She gave James a sort of smirk. “You owe me ten galleons, by the way.” she said, nudging him in the side.

Remus blinked and stared at her for a moment, before she explained. “We had a bet. James didn’t think you two would wake up and get together until after Hogwarts, but I said it’d happen before seventh year. Almost lost that bet too, good thing you two let it slip just now or I’d be out ten galleons!”

Now that he thought about it, Sirius couldn't believe he had ever doubted James being supportive. He might not understand everything, but James wasn't going to judge Sirius, no matter what the dark haired pure blood did. He was standing, again, though it took him a moment to register that he was, in fact, standing on his own two feet. It was the liquor getting him, still. It seemed that his mood, which was once angry and hurt, was now happy and light. That was Sirius for you, though, never a dull moment, never ceasing to change his mood at the drop of a hat.

“Wait wait..” He said, eyes widening, wrapping an arm around Remus to steady himself. “So you guys knew we'd get together before we did?” He continued, eyes darting between Lily and James. “Blimey, I didn't even know till recently.” That caused the group of them to fall into another fit of chuckles and giggles. It occurred to Sirius that though James and Lily were supportive of this decision, he was sure the rest of Hogwarts would not be so supportive. He was still a ladies man, after all, even if he was dating Remus Lupin.

Tomorrow, he told himself. They'd figure it out tomorrow, on the train, sometime. He didn't want to think about it now. He'd have to come up with some way to hide this relationship, or at least make Remus let him date other people, casually. He almost kicked himself at that thought, knowing full well that the werewolf wouldn't do that last one. It didn't matter though, he still had tonight, and with his best friends aware of his weird relationship with Remus, he was free to do whatever he wanted.

“Well, since you guys know about it now, we don't have to keep it a secret.” He said, stating the obvious, though he had a point. “So now, I can do this, and not even worry about it.” A large, drunken sort of grin crossed his face. With a quick movement, Sirius turned Remus around to face him, wrapped an arm around the boys waist, and tugged him as close as he could manage, their chests touching. Without a second thought, without giving the other a chance to pull away, Sirius kissed the boy, hard, wrapping the other arm around Remus' waist and lifting him up in the air slightly, which caused James to whistle and hoot as if he was at a quidditch match. Though Sirius couldn't really see them, Lily had her hands up in the air, 9 out of 10 fingers pointed up, as if giving a score. James laughed at her, bringing his fingers between his lips, and wolf whistling at the pair of them.

Remus was still coming to terms with the fact that James and Lily had placed a bet on when exactly they’d get together. Had there been some sign pointing at the two of them that said ‘FUTURE COUPLE’, only he and Sirius couldn’t see it? No, of course not. James and Lily were simply clever, that was all.

He hadn’t even been paying attention to what Sirius was saying. He could do something without it mattering now? What was he- His thoughts were cut off as Sirius pulled him into a rather steamy kiss.

Remus had gone scarlet this time, and he struggled weakly against the other even as they kissed, never having really been kissed in public like that, well, aside from the kiss he’d just given Sirius. But that had been to prove a very important point, not to just...just, kiss!
When the kiss finally broke, Remus was standing there staring down at his feet, looking very embarrassed indeed. “Sirius you can’t just...just do that!” he said, though he knew that Sirius could just do that if he wanted to now. There was nothing holding him back.

“Yes I can.” Sirius replied, with a sort of finality in his voice. James and Lily laughed, and Sirius hugged an arm around Remus' shoulder. As far as last nights of Summer breaks went, this one was, by far, the most interesting. Sirius got in a fight, made up with Remus, came out to his best friend, sort of, and got to make out with Remus in the middle of a parking lot. All in all, it wasn't such a bad time. The group made their way back to James' house after a little bit, and after a few more rounds of butterbeer, the four went to their respective rooms to go to sleep. Sirius and Remus, of course, had spent the night together once again in the guest bedroom. Sirius, who had wanted to do a little messing around before they went to sleep, had passed out, completely clothed, and completely drunk, on the bed before he even had a chance to say goodnight to the other.
