Epilogue
Seven Months Later…
The wedding reception was lively. Hermione watched as several different witches flirted shamelessly with Lucius. This only made her smile. The tall blond wizard looked over to her and gave her a look that had her insides melting with the sensual promise in them.
“I can’t believe that Ginny got married to Victor Crumb of all people,” Draco said from next to her.
Hermione laughed. “Mrs. Weasley hates him. But then again who wouldn’t she have hated other than the great Harry Potter?”
Draco snorted with laughter even as he went over to his lover and encircled his waist with his arm. “Why doesn’t she like him? He’s a famous man too!"
“The fact that he calls her ‘Mrs. Veasley’ might have something to do with it,” Harry said, chuckling as he did so. He looked around. “Where is she anyway?”
“Oh she must have had some of the punch,” Hermione said casually.
The two wizards looked at each other and back to her. “Would that be the same punch that you warned us not to drink?” Harry asked her.
She nodded. “That would be it and yet I felt the need to serve her a glass of the brew personally.” She looked to Draco. “George, Fred, and I worked for months to make that recipe perfect.” Hermione was smiling with a calculating gleam in her eyes as she said, “If you see a woman running out of the house with hair covering the majority of her body screaming at the top of her lungs, you haven’t seen me.”
Draco and Harry were still laughing as she went over to Lucius, slipping into his lap. He rubbed her hip as he asked her, “Can we go yet?”
“I had so wanted to see Molly looking like a yeti, but I can always get to via a pensive,” she murmured, getting up to her feet.
“Lucius, Miss Granger,” Severus Snape joined them. “Have you exacted your revenge yet?”
“Revenge is such a harsh term,” Hermione said even as Molly came running out of the house looking ready to smash heads together. “I like to call it a minor lesson in not dabbling in what you shouldn’t, least it comes back to bite you on the ass.” She stepped behind Lucius, who was standing up and blocking the path too Hermione. “Oh for goodness sake, get us out of here!”
Molly rushed right over and raged, “You…”
“Mrs. Weasley,” Lucius drawled. “How lovely you look. Though I must say, you do need a shave.”
“Either that or you need to join a carnival as a bearded lady,” muttered Severus dryly.
If the older woman’s blush could have set her hair on fire in that moment, it would have. “You did this to me, Hermione Granger! How could you?”
“What was that?” Lucius asked. “Why on earth would she do that? Are you insinuating that my poppet would do such?”
“Yes! After all, this is the same girl that made big purple boils breakout on a poor, defenseless girl when she was in school!”
“The girl signed a magical contract,” Severus told her. “One that if she would have read it, told her exactly what would have happened if she broke it—which the student did and she suffered the consequences.” He looked to Lucius who looked dually impressed. “It was then that I knew that the sorting hat put her into the wrong house.”
Molly bristled at this until Lucius said, “I never did thank you for what you did for Hermione and myself, did I?”
Severus and Molly looked at him in shock.
“If it hadn’t been for you giving her that potion, my poppet and I wouldn’t be planning our wedding today,” he murmured. “And for that I thank you, madam.” But his eyes grew dark as he leaned forward, warning hard in his eyes and voice as he added, “But if you ever go near her with another potion again…” Molly went running away screaming at that point, leaving the threat heavy in the air.
“Thank you.” She kissed Lucius on his cheek.
“Can we go?” he murmured, wrapping an arm around her waist.
“Goodbye, Severus,” she said, resting her head on Lucius’s shoulder. “Say hello to Tonks for me would you?”
Snape’s face softened at the mentioning of his new wife who couldn’t make it to the wedding due to work. “That I will.”
Lucius and Hermione walked hand in hand over to the apperation point.
He stopped and pulled her into his arms as he said, “Perhaps I should have asked you to marry me properly before I blurted it out like I did?”
She nodded. “But I’m sure you can make it up to me.”
A sensual grin crossed his features as he purred in a hot, deep voice, “I always do.”
