Chapter 7

Harry was sitting at his usual place, spooning a heapful of scrambled eggs on his plate, while chewing on a cinnamon bun. He was nervous about the Quidditch match they had today against Slytherin. It was his first game against Malfoy and he wasn’t sure how he would be able to handle it.

Ron quickly ran toward the table and sat beside Harry, as he grabbed some toast. “I’m definitely ready today,” he happily expressed.

Harry smiled over at his friend, glad to see that his nerves had died down from last year. Of course, it didn’t help the team any more than usual, since their captain was the nervous one now. He suddenly had an urge to look over at Malfoy, wondering if he had the same thoughts running through his head.

As he turned toward the Slytherin table, he noticed Malfoy had raised his nose in the air, while smirking at Goyle. He rolled his eyes, as he was again reminded how egotistical Malfoy could be. There were still times when he would look at their relationship and wonder why he was with him in the first place, but then was quickly reminded of those thoughts, as he recalled tender moments they had spent in each other’s arms.

Draco suddenly turned toward the Gryffindor table, feeling Potter’s eyes on him. He gave him a wink, before turning toward Goyle to continue his conversation. He was trying everything to keep his nerves from coming forward. He couldn’t believe they would be competing against each other today. He suddenly licked his lips at the thought of the competition.

After breakfast, the students quickly adjourned to the Quidditch field, as the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams went to suit up. Harry slowly walked out of the locker room, once he was fully dressed, hoping to catch Malfoy before the game.

As he passed an empty classroom, he felt somebody grab his shoulders and pull him inside. He quickly spun around, reaching for his wand hidden under his uniform. Before he could speak, a pair of lips was already kissing him. His body relaxed, when he sensed he was not in any danger.

A few seconds later, Malfoy pulled away, licking his lips. “Cinnamon?” he smirked.

Harry smiled, as he wrapped his arms around Malfoy’s body, pulling him closer. “Good luck today,” he said.

“It’s you who will need the luck,” he replied, feeling his competitive side start to surface.

Harry brushed Malfoy’s hair away from his face, as he leaned in and gave him a small kiss on his lips. He then pulled back and smirked. “Come on, Malfoy, you know I’m better than you.”

Draco rolled his eyes, as they parted. “Then why not put a little wager on it?” he offered.

Harry furrowed his eyebrows, contemplating the idea. “What’s the bet?”

Draco looked around the room and then smirked, as he returned his attention to Potter. “Loser has to say and do whatever the winner wants.”

Harry nodded. “How long?”

“Two weeks?”

“How about one?”

Draco accepted the terms, as he extended his hand out for Potter to shake. Harry stared down at his hand, a bit reluctant to shake it. He was confident he would beat Malfoy, but it still worried him to think what he would possibly have to do, or say, if he had lost.

As he took Malfoy’s hand, he was suddenly pulled into him. They were lost in each other’s kiss, barely hearing the whistle blow, signaling for the two teams to go on the field. They quickly released each other, looking flushed.

“May the best man win,” Malfoy smirked.

“Oh, I will,” Potter smirked back.

Halfway through the game, Harry and Draco still hadn’t spotted the Snitch. They watched their fellow teammates below, coaching them along the way.

“Nice block, Blaise,” Draco called out, happy that his best mate tried out for the team this year.

Harry stopped watching his own team, as he looked over to where Malfoy was flying. He stared at the boy’s arms, admiring how shapely they were. He licked his lips, as he thought about the rest of his body and how much he wanted to be closer to him. He snapped out of his thoughts, when he heard cheering from down below. He smiled, when he realized the Gryffindors scored another goal. “Good job, Ginny,” he called out, after he heard others giving her praises.

Draco turned his attention toward Potter, watching him staring at his teammates. He couldn’t keep his eyes off the boy’s muscular body, wondering what exactly it looked like underneath. He figured he should be able to have a look, seeing as how Potter already saw him in just a towel. He blushed, when he saw him turn toward him, and decided to fly over, feeling the urge to talk to him.

Harry smiled, when Malfoy approached. “It’s a good game so far, isn’t it?” he asked.

Draco nodded, taking another look down. “It’s kind of nice everyone is focusing on them instead of us,” he smirked over at Potter.

“Yeah it is,” Harry agreed. “Weird that neither of us have seen the Snitch though.”

“I don’t mind,” he shrugged. “Once it’s caught, I won’t be able to watch you fly around in that sexy way you do,” he smirked.

Harry blushed, as he cleared his throat. “Yeah, but don’t forget about the bet. That should give you some motivation.”

Draco nodded, as he thought about Potter and the bet and how he wanted to win. “The first thing you are to do when I win is to announce to everyone that I am a better Seeker than you,” he expressed.

Harry’s mouth dropped. “No way, Malfoy. They’ll think I’m crazy.”

“Well-” Draco shrugged.

“Shut up,” Harry interjected.

Draco snickered. “What about me?”

Harry had to think about that for a minute. There were many things he wanted him to do for him. Unfortunately, the one main thing he wanted, he knew he couldn’t tell him to do. He couldn’t take advantage of the situation. Of course, he was more than certain Malfoy wouldn’t let that stand in his way. And if that was true, then a little part of him was actually hoping for him to lose the game tonight.

“Potter?” Draco asked again, realizing how quiet he became.

Harry smirked over at Malfoy, before looking to his left. He saw the little golden ball fly pass them and quickly flew after it. Draco furrowed his eyebrows, until he figured out what made him leave. He leaned lower on his broom, as he chased after Potter and the Snitch.

Cheers sounded from below, when everyone saw the two Seekers fly off, knowing they had spotted the Snitch. Harry and Draco flew faster, remaining neck and neck with each other.

“I will win this bet, Potter,” Draco called out.

“Not if I can help it,” Harry exclaimed.

“Aren’t you at all curious to know what I have in store for you?” Draco smirked, as he turned his head to look at the Gryffindor next to him.

Harry turned his head slightly, catching the famous Malfoy smirk on the boy’s face. “You already have things planned out?” he wondered.

Draco chuckled, as he turned away, looking straight ahead toward the golden ball. “Let’s just say I’ve been extremely bored over the summer after I left,” he grinned toward the Boy Wonder.

Harry gulped, feeling his body weaken. He studied the boy’s face, wondering if there was any real malice behind the things he would have him do. He knew how Malfoy could be and wouldn’t put it pass the Slytherin to have him do such horrendous tasks. He noticed Malfoy’s broom inching a little further in front and tried desperately to keep up; however, his curious thoughts began to consume him, making him retreat a little.

“What are you thinking about?” Draco suddenly asked, seeing Potter slacking.

“What exactly would you have me do?” Harry paled, realizing Malfoy was close to catching the Snitch now.

“Nothing too terrible,” he smirked, seeing the fear still in his eyes. “Trust me.”

Harry glanced toward the Snitch in front of him and then at the cheering fans down below. He returned his gaze on the blonde boy in front of him and nodded, as he slowed down some more.

Draco smiled over at Potter, before reaching out in front of him and grabbing the Snitch. Cheers rang out, as the game ended and the Slytherin team won. Harry and Draco flew down to the field, while Draco held the tiny ball in his grasp. He peered over at Potter, thanking him with his eyes. Harry smiled to himself when he saw the happiness in the boy’s eyes. He knew it wasn’t because Malfoy won. It was because he had finally trusted him.

“Malfoy is truly a better Seeker than me,” Harry reluctantly announced in a loud voice, as they stood on the field with the rest of their teams.

The Slytherins cheered, as the other students opened their eyes wide in shock. Harry peeked over at Malfoy, noticing the smug smirk he was wearing. “I hate you, Malfoy,” he whispered, as he kept his eyes forward on the crowd in front of him.

“Hate you too, Potter,” Draco proudly whispered back, while staring at the crowd, as well.
