There was only a week left until the big opening of the play. The school had decided to host the play on Hogsmeade so that students who had muggle parents could go, and it was open to the public. Since it was crunch time, teachers had let up on the homework load, and changed all the midterm exams for those acting in the play to papers that they could turn in after the break.
“Thank God,” Phoebe said as she read the notice that all actors, and people participating in play, such as crew, and musicians received.
“I guess,” Lily said with a shrug. True she was happy she did not have to do the tests, but that was more for her to do over her break.
“Are you nervous at all?” Phoebe asked as they walked down the hall toward Potions with Slytherin.
“A little,” Lily said giving her friend a small smile. “There are going to be so many people watching. I don’t know what I got myself into.”
“You’ll be fine, you make a beautiful Juliet,” her friend said trying to reassure her as they walked into the cold, dank dungeons.
“Thanks, I am so glad you are nurse, it makes it easier being up there with a friend,” Lily said. “And you do the accent very well.”
“Well, I do use a charm to help me with the Spanish accent, but thanks,” Phoebe replied taking her normal stool next to Lily in the front of the room.

James filed in with the three friends, and took the back lab bench to the right with Sirius, and Remus and Peter sat at the table directly in front of them.
“Are you prepared for rehearsal later?” James asked Sirius. It would be the first time they did the whole play with everyone in costume, and all the scenery up. The professor had also scheduled the rehearsal for mid afternoon since it interfered with a Quidditch match between Slytherin and Ravenclaw. It worked out well for them though because it was the last night of a full moon.
“Of course,” Sirius said pulling out his potions book, and supplies. “Are you? I mean those dance scenes must be trying,” he teased. The professor had decided to incorporate James and Bridget into the play as extras, since they weren’t doing anything else.
James didn’t respond, instead he just began to work on their class work for the day.
“Are you going to be alright for the play Moony?” Peter asked since tonight was the last night of his transformation.
“I’ll be fine,” Remus said weakly. He was drained from school, practice, and transformation, but he knew he would get all his energy back by the next week. He had been surviving on energy potions, and vitamin b drinks.
“If you want to go nap after this Moony you can, I’ll take notes for you in Defense,” James volunteered. They were all tired from the weeks work, but he knew Remus was hit particularly hard this week.

Lily adjusted her skirt as she watched Sirius on stage acting out his role with Lawrence Hender, who played Benvolio. They were coming upon her entrance, and she took a deep breath and stepped out. She had done this millions of times before, but it was different with everyone in their costumes, minus hair and makeup because it took too long to do and it was only a mid day practice.
James was dancing with Bridget in the large crowd of the party scene. He was dancing with ease, but he was not paying attention at all to his partner, or his steps. Instead he watched Lily intently as she and Sirius interacted.
“James!” Bridget hissed through her fake smile.
“Sorry,” James muttered looking back at her, but his eyes wandered once again. He heard her give an aggravated sigh, but he ignored her.
He cringed at the kiss, and turned back around to Bridget giving her a small, but charming grin, and began to move with more vigor across the floor. He needed to get the image out of his head. James knew it would upset him, but he looked every time anyways.
An hour and a half later rehearsal was over, and most people were changed back into their normal clothes, well uniforms anyways.
“Great job everyone, we still have a few kinks here and there, but nothing to worry about. This is going to be an amazing show. Everyone needs to be here by six tomorrow to get dressed, and everyone needs to be ready to go at seven o’clock sharp. See you all then!” The professor said dismissing the group.
“We are going to be dead by the time the show goes on,” Bridget complained to Pheobe and Lily as they walked out of the great hall.
“And you wanted to be Juliet!” Phoebe teased.
“I know! I can’t imagine what it is like for you,” Bridget said to Lily who was in the midst of covering her mouth from a yawn. “Or maybe I can,” she said and the three of them laughed.
“Hey Lily!” Sirius called, causing the red head to turn back around.
“Oh hey Sirius,” Lily said as her and her friends stopped.
“Hey I was wondering if we could practice some more, you know one on one and work out everything,” Sirius said with a charming smile.
Lily blushed slightly. She did not like Sirius in that way, but he sure knew how to charm someone. “Sure, when?”
Her friends took this as their cue to leave, and Bridget and Phoebe backed off, giggling slightly as they headed toward the stairs.
James however took this as a cue to watch what was going on, and he made it look like he was busy tying his shoe as he listened to what was going on. He looked and saw Remus, being even less inconspicuous, as he stared at the two of them.
“How about now? Unless you’re busy of course,” Sirius said extending his elbow out to her.
Lily thought for a moment, looking up the ceiling to try and remember if she had any homework, “now sounds great. What time were you thinking to?”
“I have to go by six, that gives us an hour and a half,” Sirius said as they walked off.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Do you really think they need to practice more?” Remus asked James once the two of them left.
“No,” James said bitterly as he grabbed his bag standing up straight. “I think Lily likes him. She asked me the other night to find out Sirius likes her.”
“Sirius likes her alright, I just hope Lily isn’t that stupid,” Remus said shaking his head and walking off.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“How about in here?” Sirius asked leading Lily into a small room on the fifth floor. It was brightly lit from the torches and a few windows, and a fireplace cracked invitingly on the far side of the room. The walls were bare, but there was an overstuffed red sofa in the middle of the room, and an old oriental rug with a rickety coffee table sitting on it.
“What is this place?” Lily asked as she walked in, setting down her messenger bag so it leaned on the back of the couch.
“James found it in third year. We use it to come study, and some other things…that are along the lines of breaking the rules,” Sirius said winking at Lily
“Don’t tell me,” Lily said turning away from him and grabbing her script from her bag. She didn’t really need it, but she liked to have it as reference, especially for the blockings.
“What scene?” Lily asked him.
“How about the last one, where Romeo and Juliet die,” Sirius said pushing the couch out of the way effortlessly, causing a loud rumble to echo around the room.
“Alright,” Lily said lying back on the ground, folding her arms lightly on her stomach, and closing her eyes, as she did on stage.
Sirius began his lines, and pretended to drink the potion falling next to Lily on the ground. He had mastered breathing very lightly so it looked as if he were dead.
Lily always hated this part because she had to lie across Sirius. She was a good actress and didn’t show it, but something about Sirius made her uneasy. Gently she laid across Sirius’ stomach, and said Juliet’s last line before falling ‘dead’.
When she moved to get up, she felt Sirius’ hands wrap around her back lightly holding her down. Her heart beat skipped once, and then it sped up. Lily pulled back up, and felt that he had not let go.
“Sirius…” Lily said wanting to nip this in the bud before anything else began.
“Shh,” Sirius said huskily into her ear. He felt her squirm, but he just held her closer, moving to kiss her neck.
“No Sirius,” Lily said trying to push up once again, but his hold was fast on her.
Sirius did not respond, instead he nipped lightly at her earlobe. Most girls fought him in the beginning, but gave in afterwards. “Relax kitten,” he said into her ear quietly, his hand moving up under her shirt.
“Stop,” Lily said pathetically wiggling against him. Damn her wand being in her bag. She looked around for anything she could use to hit him with, or even away from him with but there was nothing. She didn’t want to get him in trouble yet, figuring it was just bad communication, but when his hand reached up and grabbed her breast through her bra that was it. She started screaming, and crying trying to wiggle free.
“Calm down love,” Sirius said, his hand kneading her lightly, feeling her hard nipple against the lace of her bra. “I like frisky girls but you are over doing it,” he replied covering up her mouth as his other hand moved up her skirt, and rubbed her through her knickers.
Lily had never been touched like this, and she especially did not want Sirius doing it. She bit down on his hand hard, causing him to let go. She scrambled off of him, wiping her eyes, as she grabbed her bag that was lying on its side.
“You bitch,” Sirius said looking at his hand, which had deep teeth marks in it.
“S-stay away from me Sirius,” Lily said before running toward the door.
Sirius glared at her before rolling off his side. “Crazy fucking bitch,” he muttered rising up from the floor.
“Screw you Sirius,” Lily yelled before slamming door.
She felt disgusting as she ran down the hall, her bag knocking against her side loudly. People were looking at her, and whispering as they noticed her crying, and the unkempt look of her shirt and hair. Lily was looking at the ground as she ran, and didn’t notice when a hand reached out to stop her.
“Let go!” Lily screamed shrinking away toward the wall. She looked up to see Remus staring down at her concerned, as well as startled.
“Lily what happened?” He asked her, lowering his hand as she backed up. She looked scared to death.
“Nothing,” Lily said feeling embarrassed, as she wiped tears away again. “I’ve g-gotta go.” She said before walking briskly down the hall.
Remus watched her go before looking in the direction she came from. It dawned on him then. She had just been with Sirius.
Lily was back at her room two minutes later, and the first thing she did was collapse on her bed, and cry. She ripped off her shirt, and threw it in the trash, before looking at herself in the mirror. How could she have been so stupid to fall for that? Lily then quickly changed, and threw herself into the shower, and scrubbed at her body.
“Thank God,” Phoebe said as she read the notice that all actors, and people participating in play, such as crew, and musicians received.
“I guess,” Lily said with a shrug. True she was happy she did not have to do the tests, but that was more for her to do over her break.
