Chapter 7: The Ministry
An: Reread chapter 6 I changed the end somewhat.
Chapter 7: The Ministry
It had been several weeks since they had begun planning this raid now the day was finally here and Ayden was in a panic Diagon Alley had been one thing but the ministry would be another. In truth he was unsure why he was this nervous after all a few months before he and some of his closest friends had entered the ministry undetected but that had been about saving Sirius not about taking it over.
While he was thinking someone knocked on his door.
“Enter!”
The door swung open to reveal the entire death squad.
“We thought we’d check on you today is very important and you were bound to be worried.”
“You know me so well I’m freaking out and I have no idea why with the exception of the twins we all broke into the ministry undetected two months ago.”
“That was a little different we were there to save someone then not take it over.”
“True.” Looking a Hermione for a second he said “guys give me and Hermione a moment alone.” With that everyone backed out of the room as Hermione entered and shut the door.
“What’s up Ayden?”
“I’m not the only one of us for whom a trip to the ministry will be traumatic are you sure you can do this after what happened with Daholvo in June?”
Hermione laughed as she held and squeezed his hand. “Some things will never change you will always have a giant heart no matter what we call you. Unable to stop herself she hugged him . Ayden was caught off guard and turned to face her just as she was letting go of him the result was that their lips brushed against each other. They both jumped apart quickly at the unfamiliar but pleasant sensation the brief contact had caused.
For a moment both were speechless then Hermione stuttered and said “See you at the debriefing just before she fled the room.
A little while later at the debriefing they went over the plan to infiltrate the ministry one last time with Ayden and Hermione avoiding eye contact with each other at all cost and blushing every once in a while about what no one knew. Deciding to question Ayden later Voldemort ordered everyone to go their staring positions.
A few minutes later they appeared in the ministry and began firing off curses randomly. The guard s went down with exceptional ease. The Aurors proved to be a bit more difficult however. By the time the aurors were disable the order had appeared.
“Tom you will lose this fight in the end good will always triumph.”
“You’re a delusional old man Dumbuldore can’t you see you’ve already lost. Once the truth came out about Ayden you were done after all my grandson is without a doubt thee most powerful wizard of his generation. Once he saw past your manipulations there was no hope for you or the light side surrender now and I’ll kill you quickly and that’s more than you deserve considering what you did to my daughter, son in law, and grandson.”
With that a fierce dual broke out between the two wizards. They fought hard, fast, and furious for the next 15 minutes until …
“Crucio!”
After holding the curse for a little over a minute he rapidly fired several other curse to injure Dumbuldore. By this time he was weak and slow being nearly 160 he did not have the stamina or the power of his youth and was in his weakened state a easy mark. Voldemort point his wand at Dumbuldore one final time and said “Avada Kadedra!” The entire room feel silent as everyone looked at the once thought unbeatable Albus Dumbuldore’s corps. Still in shock most of the order wasn’t fast enough to defend themselves before they were spelled injured or unconscious. This made getting into the departments and offices of the officials easy. Very few faught as they knew it was hopeless since they were outmanned.
Voldemort decided to save the best for last as he walked into Minister Fudges’s office contemplating how to dispose of him publically so that the world would know he was in charge now. As he opened the door he said in a very cordial voice
