Ginny, Harry and Ron
Chapter 7:
Sunday morning Ginny came over to do Hermione’s nails and teach her how to apply the makeup. “The potion in your hair should last three months. Here are the instructions to make more, and the directions for the spell.” Hermione nodded, placing the makeup Ginny gave her and all the instructions in the bathroom. “Now I want to go through your wardrobe.”
Ginny walked to the closet and started pulling clothes out. “Get undressed” Ginny commanded. Ginny had Hermione put the first set of clothes on and altered them so they fit better. Hermione was amazed at how the seamstress charms worked. A couple hours later Ginny had finished with Hermione’s entire wardrobe, even altering the school robes to show her curves off better.
“Are we done?” Hermione asked, sitting on the bed.
“Not even close. I want to make your robes for the ball next week.” Ginny answered. She opened her back pack and pulled out different roles of fabric. I think you should wear green. Stand in front of the mirror and I’ll get started, but face me...no peeking.”
“Okay, you can look” Ginny said. Hermione turned around and gasped. The dress was gorgeous. The green silk dress was strapless and flowed in clean lines down to Hermione’s full hips, accentuating her small waist and clinging to her figure all the way down to her knees. The dress flared out at the knees into a full skirt with a silver dragon was embroidered from the bottom of the dress to the top of Hermione’s thighs. A charm was holding the bottom of the dress out the same way a muggle ruffled slip would, but this was much more comfortable. “Of course we need to get you some silver shoes.”
“Thank you Gin. I need to take this off before the boys walk in and see me. I want this to be a surprise.”
Ginny nodded and helped Hermione fit it inside the back of the closet where it wouldn’t be noticed until the summer dance.
The girls headed down to the common room to find Draco and Blaise playing chess.
“Are you ladies ready to head down to breakfast?” Draco asked, rising to his feet to kiss Hermione on the cheek.
“I know I’m starving” Ginny replied.
“Would you like to join us Ginny?” Draco questioned?
“I would love to. Are you sure your friends won’t mind?” Ginny asked.
“They do whatever Draco tells them to” Blaise cut in. “You should be more worried about Harry and Ron than the Slytherins.”
“I can handle Harry and my brother” Ginny answered confidently, turning back to answer Blaise as he closed the portrait behind her.
Blaise and Draco sat down facing the Gryffindor table opposite Hermione and Ginny. Breakfast was just starting and the hall was almost empty. Harry and Ron had not arrived yet and the group ate quickly, hoping to avoid a confrontation with the pair.
Harry and Ron entered the hall as they were getting up to leave. Ron heard his sister laughing and looked over to see he smiling at something Blaise said, giving him a playful punch on the arm.
“Ginny get away from him,” Ron growled, grabbing her arm and pulling her away from the Slytherin.
“Leave me alone Ron. I can talk to anyone I wish.” Ginny said giving him a look that stopped most people in their tracks. It was well known around Hogwarts that Ginny had a fiery temper and was quick to throw hexes when she was pissed off.
“Ginny, I know what is best for you and you are not to be around them or Hermione anymore” he insisted, trying to pull him away again.
“Ronald Weasly take your hands off of me.” Ginny repeated.
Harry headed over when he heard Ginny raise her voice. “Ginny come sit with us” he said.
“No Harry. I have already eaten and I need to go get my books for class. I will talk to you at lunch.” She shrugged Ron’s arm off and headed toward the door leaving her brother and her boyfriend standing next to the Slytherin table staring open-mouther after her.
“What the fuck did you do to her?” Ron shouted at Blaise.
“I didn’t do anything mate. She was hanging out with Hermione so I invited her to eat with us.” Blaise replied calmly.
Draco stood and came around the table and joined Blaise. Harry pulled his wand and pointed it toward the two Slytherins. “Stay away from my girlfriend.” He threatened.
“What’s wrong Potter? Can’t control your girlfriend.” Draco taunted. “Are you afraid that she will end up dumping her for a Slytherin?”
“Just stay away from her ferret” Harry replied, lowering his wand. “Come on Ron, lets go eat. I will sort Ginny out later.” Harry turned to walk away, but Ron was still staring at Blaise. Harry grabbed his arm and dragged him back to the Slytherin table.
Hermione let out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding as Harry guided Ron away. “Draco, please don’t tease Ron and Harry. I know they’re not speaking to me right now, but they are still my best friends. I hope once they realize how happy you two make me they will come around.”
“I’m sorry baby. I promise I will try harder” Draco said, shouldering her bookbag. They made their way to the Dungeon and into the potions classroom where Professor Snape sat at his desk marking papers with a look of disgust on his face.
Draco and Blaise took their normal seats at the back of the classroom, while Hermione hovered in the doorway unsure of where to sit. She normally sat with Ron, but she didn’t think that would be appropriate today considering.
“Come sit with me Mione” Blaise said, patting the seat next to him. Hermione moved quickly, glad Blaise had taken the decision out of her hands.
The rest of the class filled in around them, with Harry and Ron partnered together at the very front of the room.
“Everyone please pass your homework forward.” Professor Snape bellowed.
Harry and Ron looked at each other bewildered. They hadn’t done the assignment. Hermione was going to help them over the weekend, but since they weren’t talking to her it hadn’t gotten done and they forgot about it.
“Dammit” Harry muttered under his breath. “I don’t know how we will ever pass this class without Hermione” he whispered to Ron.
“Yeah” Ron agreed. “I totally forgot about the assignment.”
The rest of potions class was uneventful. Hermione was taking all Newt level classes, so she wouldn’t have to face Ron and Harry in a classroom again until tomorrow when they had DA.

At lunch Ginny sat with Harry and Ron trying to reason with them.
“Have you seen how happy Hermione looks?” She asked.
“They must have put some kind of love spell on her” Ron replied.
“Is that so? We learned about love potions in third year Ronald. She isn’t acting like she is under the influence of a love potion. She really enjoys being with them.” Ginny answered.
“What the hell does ‘with them’ mean anyway?” Harry asked. “Is that slag whoring herself to both of them now?”
“Hermione is not a whore Harry. Yes, she is in a relationship with Draco and Blaise. I know this is not popular in the muggle world, but this type of relationship is excepted in the wizarding world.” Ginny explained speaking slowly, her face turning red with the effort of forcing her temper down.
“She’s sleeping with the enemy” Harry practically yelled.
“They are not the enemy Harry. Voldemort is the enemy. I thought you would have realized that by now. I know for a fact that neither of them have the dark mark, and they denounced Voldemort in this very hall.” Ginny tried again.
“How do you know they don’t have the dark mark?” Ron narrowed his eyes at his sister. “Just what have you been doing in the head common room with Hermione? Are you whoring yourself to the princes of Slytherin too?”
“I’m done trying to reason with you two. Come find me when you grow a brain.” Ginny huffed, pushing herself up from the table. She picked up her backpack and half finished plate of food and headed for the Slytherin table.
Blaise saw Ginny coming and scooted over so she could sit next to Hermione.
“No luck huh?” Hermione asked.
“None. Merlin those two are stubborn” Ginny answered. “Ron accused me of sleeping with Draco and Blaise too.”
“That’s ridiculous” Draco said. “And they two are two thirds of the golden trio that is going to save the world from Voldemort. We’re all doomed!” Draco joked.
