Chapter 4: Secrets Discovered!

Lucius and Hermione walked down the spiral staircase with their heads held high. They couldn’t keep the grins off of their faces that spoke volumes alone. As they walked down the stairs they heard voices coming from the sitting room.

As they reached the bottom, Lucius and Hermione stopped. They looked at each other, their eyes locked with the other. Hermione only broke contact for a moment. She stole a glance at the sitting room then looked back at Lucius. She gently tapped her head.

~What’s wrong luv?’ Lucius thought to his sole mate.

~ I don’t know Luc. But something is going on. I mean, we are standing right here, and we can hear Sirius! Something bad must have happened’ Hermione thought back to Lucius. She suddenly got an idea.

Lucius looked at Hermione and noticed the look on her face. He saw the wheels turning in her brain and shook his head. Lucius gave Hermione a rueful grin.

~Mia, you want to channel your Slytherin side and eavesdrop on them to find out what is going on?’ Lucius thought with a wolfish grin.

~Honestly Luc you’re as bad as Harry and Ron! Oh fine, I’m dieing to know, so let’s!’ Hermione thought, excitedly!

Lucius and Hermione grinned and crept silently towards the close doors. They stood side-by-side as they pressed their ears to door listened to conversation going on inside.

“Sirius, Severus, the both of you know that this is the only way.” Remus said, trying to be the voice of reason for his two friends.

“Absolutely not!” Severus bellowed from his seat in one of the wing-backed chairs, his face held a scowl that was only reserved for dunderhead students as he like to call them. Severus’s dark eyes held a look of rage.

“I agree with Severus! You lot are completely insane. Have you all forgotten that the dear sweet girl upstairs just lost her parents? Don’t you people have any consideration for her at all?” Sirius yelled. Both Sirius and Severus adopted Hermione as their little sister and they seen her enough pain already.

“Mates listen to reason.” Remus said. He remained calm but there was a part of him that wanted to slap both of them on the head. He couldn’t get over how much they were acting like children.

Molly Weasley had remained quite during Remus’s speech and the tirade of two child like wizards in front of her. She stood and put her hands on her hips. Gave both wizards a motherly glare. Severus and Sirius to one look at Molly and bowed their heads, chastised.

“Oh they’re in for it now! About time some body else got that glare in stead of us for a change.” Ron said out loud with a grin.

“Ronald Bilius Weasley!” Molly said as she turned to Ron. Ron visibly paled at his full name.

Hermione was laughing silently. But before she could stop Lucius, he let out a snort that gave away their position. She shook her head and brought her hand to her forehead. Remus had smelled two people standing outside the door. And grinned evilly.

“I believe we have to stowaways in our midst.” Remus said with an evil grin as he pointed his wand at the double doors. With a wave the doors were throwin open, Lucius and Hermione fell inside as they fell in a surprised heap on the floor.

Every one burst out laughing. Lucius couldn’t help but laugh as well. Hermione let out a nervous chuckle as Lucius helped her stand. She brushed herself off and looked at everyone.

“Serves the both of you right. You’ll get no sympathy from me. That will teach the both of you not snoop.” Molly clucked. She turned her attention back to Sirius and Severus.

Lucius grabbed Hermione’s hand and led her to the couch. Plunked himself down and spread his legs at the same time. He then pulled Hermione down towards him and sat her between his spread legs. Hermione laid back against him and sighed in content.

Molly and everyone else grin at the two of them. Poor Ron paled more. He sighed and turned back to his mother. Molly turned back to the two wizards in question.

“Now that all the fun’s over,” Molly started to say but was interrupted by Severus and Sirius.

“Oh what a same.” They said in unison with matching grins. Molly cleared her throat to get their attention.

“The both of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Two full-grown wizards acting like children. Don’t you think that Hermione as some say in this. We all know she lost of her parents, but maybe her family holds the key into destroying Voldormort once and for all. Instead you two great buffoons act like children. Well do the both of you have to say for yourselves?” Molly said with a stern look.

Severus and Sirius sat there for a minute and looked at each other. They shared a nod and promptly got down on their knees in front of Molly and began to bow.

“We are worms Molly, worthless worms!” They said as bowed up and down with tears in their eyes.

This little exhibition caused everyone in the room to burst out laughing. Lucius had turn his head laugh in Hermione’s hair. Remus had to brace himself against the mantel because he was laughing so hard.

“Oh I give up.” Molly said as she threw her hands in the air and walked over to a laughing Arthur.

Hermione managed to get herself back under control and turned to everyone in the room.

“So what were you guys arguing about?” Hermione asked still chuckling a little bit.

“Well we were discussing your family Hermione. And we were hoping that maybe they might have a secret or two to help us defeat Voldormort.” Remus explained as he went into teacher mode.

“Umm! I don’t know any secret in my family to help kill Voldormort but there is a secret. It’s deals with the Morgan family. Before my mother died, she told me that this secret would revel itself when the time was right. I would know when and I would also get clues. She said it was one big mystery.” Hermione said with a contented sigh.

Lucius looked thoughtful as he run his fingers through Hermione’s golden locks. As his thoughts traveled, he thought about his own family secrets.

“I do have one secret of my own.” Hermione said with mischievous grin as looked at every one.

“Oh, and what would that be luv?” Lucius asked with a grin of his own as he looked into Hermione’s sparkling blue eyes. Hermione grinned and jumped up. She turned and faced everyone in the room.

Lucius watched with interest, as Hermione stood in front them. He watched as Hermione gave a seductive wink. Hermione took a breath and then transformed before their eyes.

Right where Hermione stood, in her place sat a golden brown wolf with sparkling blue eyes. Lucius shook his head in shock and then grinned. Before any one could blink, Lucius transformed into his wolf form. He had sparkling grey eyes and a beautiful white fur coat. He trotted playfully up to Hermione. They playfully spring at one another and roll on the floor.

“Well it seems our little Mishka as found herself a friend.” Sirius said with a grin as he watched the wolves play. The golden brown wolf lifted her head and looked at Sirius.

“I guess she likes the name.” Sirius said, as his grin got wider.

All of sudden the female wolf transformed herself back into Hermione. And then the male transformed himself back into Lucius. Draco wasn’t shocked, but the others were.

“Well Hermione as a new nick name. Mishka! It sings.” Lucius said with a grin as he wrapped his arm around her waist.

“So if I’m Mishka, what does that make you? Lucifer?” Hermione asked with a cocky grin.

“Why darling Firefly, how ever did you guess?” Lucius asked as he playfully nibble her neck. The action caused Hermione to squeal with delight, which set every one laughing.

“Wolves. Their Animagus’s had to be wolves.” Ron said mournfully. He had went white has a sheet when he saw Hermione and Lucius’s animagus forms.
