Chapter 7
Harry flicked his wand at Hermione and Obi-Wan, who were instantly dressed. Obi-Wan jumped out of the bed a second before Revan and the clone troops rushed into the room.
“What happened? Is everyone all right?” Revan asked.
“Yeah. I must have fallen asleep in the chair,” Obi-Wan replied.
“Harry, how did you know he was here?” Hermione asked pointing to Lucius.
“I don’t know. I was meditating when suddenly I started seeing things. I saw you two here…asleep,” he gave Hermione and Obi-Wan and meaningful look. “I saw Severus, Solan, Senator Organa, and Master Windu on their ship talking. Then I saw Lucius standing over Hermione with that dagger,” Harry explained.
“Wait, you saw this?” Revan said.
“Yeah. It was weird. They weren’t like the vision I have when I see Voldemort,” Harry nodded.
“In the morning, we’ll go speak to the Council about this. Typically, only someone who is at one with the Force is able to see things as you did,” Obi-Wan stated.
Revan and the troops took the body of Lucius away. Once they were alone, Harry spoke. “Look, I know this relationship between you is forbidden, but I won’t say anything. Obi-Wan, she’s my best and dearest friend, just take care of her,”
“I will Harry. I promise,” Obi-Wan promised.
“And I’ll take care of Obi-Wan,” Hermione smiled.

Harry stood nervously in between Revan and Obi-Wan before the Council. Revan was telling them about Lucius nearly attacking and killing Hermione and Obi-Wan. The Council seemed surprised about Harry seeing visions while meditating.
“How long have you been able to do this?” one of the Masters asked.
“Last night was the first time. I mean, sometimes I can see and feel Voldemort, but that’s only because he created a connection between us the night he tried to kill me when I was only one,” Harry answered.
“The Force is strong with you,” Yoda said.
“Are you saying I’m a Jedi?” Harry questioned.
“It’s possible. There are a few tests we can to do find out,” another Master replied with a kind look.

As the Council tested Harry, Hermione sat with Padme in the Chancellor’s apartment. Padme had know about Hermione and Obi-Wan from the beginning and fully supported them. She was also worried about the near attack the night before. However, she didn’t voice her fears to Hermione.
“So, how much has Severus changed?” Padme questioned.
“Not a lot. Well, he’s grown more patient than he was ten years ago,” Hermione chuckled.
“I noticed that at session,” Padme smiled.
“You like him don’t you?” Hermione grinned.
“No,” Padme answered, a bit too quickly for Hermione to believe her.
“Yes you do. Admit it,” Hermione teased.
“All right I do. It doesn’t matter though, he would never notice me,” Padme sighed.
“Are you kidding me. Every time we would leave the Senate he would always say how pretty you looked,” Hermione said.
“He does?” Padme asked in shock.
“Yes. When he comes back, I think you and him should have a long talk. Just because you’re the Chancellor doesn’t mean you can’t find love,” Hermione suggested.
The two women turned the conversation to Naboo. Padme told Hermione that the planet was thriving. JarJar Binks was doing a wonderful job as representative for the Gungins. He was still a bit clumsy, but had improved a lot from the Gungin she had first met when she was Queen.

Anakin was furious. He had sent Ron to observe Hermione. Ron returned with news that not only was Lucius dead, but he had been sent by Voldemort to kill Hermione.
“Are you sure Lord Sideious?” Anakin asked.
“Yes Master. I got close enough to hear Hermione tell the Chancellor that Harry had seen the attack in a vision while meditating,” Ron replied.
“Hmm, it would appear this Harry has the abilities of a Jedi. We will watch him closely. Now, tell Voldemort I want to see him. Now,” Anakin hissed.
Ron bowed and left the room. Being double crosses was something Anakin could not tolerate. The second Voldemort entered the room, Anakin used the Force to begin chocking the Wizard.
“If I didn’t need your assistance, I would kill you,” Anakin growled as he released Voldemort. “You double cross me again wizard, and I will kill you,”
“Understood,” Voldemort nodded fearfully. For once, Voldemort was truly frightened for his life.

Severus sighed as he and Solan climbed into a speeder. The negotiations had gone smoothly. The remaining Separatists had already set up an appointment to meet with Padme to work out the terms of being reinstated to the Republic and the Senate.
“I hope everything was calm here,” Solan said.
“As do I brother,” Severus nodded. “Should we go to the apartment or straight to Padme’s first?”
“I never thought I’d see this day. My older brother has fallen in love,” Solan laughed.
“I’m not in love,” Severus argued.
“Oh yes you are. During our trip you were always talking about Chancellor Amidala. I think it’s funny. At least you chose a woman who can stand her ground,” Solan teases as he steered the speeder towards Padme’s apartment and Severus grumbled.
As the brothers rode the elevator, Solan silently chuckled as Severus kept adjusting his robes. He had never seen Severus this nervous. As they entered Padme’s apartment, he felt Severus’ nerves almost double.
“Relax,” Solan whispered.
“Shut up,” Severus hissed back.
“Severus, Master Snape, welcome back. I hear the negotiations were a success,” Padme smiled as she entered the room.
“Yes Chancellor they were,” Severus nodded.
“There’s no need to be so formal. We’ve known each other since I was a child,” Padme chuckled.
“Milady, is it all right if I leave Severus here? I must report to the Council for the debriefing,” Solan asked.
“Of course Solan,” Padme answered.
“Severus, I’ll be back as soon as the debriefing is over,” Solan replied.
“Fine,” Severus said absently.
Solan smiled as he left. Padme and Severus moved to the sofa. Severus immediately began telling her about the meeting with the Separatists on Aldeeran. Padme listened silently, picturing the meetings in her mind.
“I’m surprised there was no blood shed. Especially between you and the Commerce Guilds,” she chuckled.
“There almost was, but Master Windu stepped in and defused the situation. I have never gotten along with the Commerce Guilds to begin with,” he sighed as he began rubbing the back of his neck.
Padme stood up and moved to stand behind him. Severus jumped slightly as her soft hands began massaging his neck and shoulders. Within moments, the tension of the negotiations and being alone with Padme vanished.
“Severus, there’s something I want to tell you,” she said as she continued her massage.
“What is it Padme?” he asked.
“I’ve fallen in love with you. I think I fell in love the first time I met you on Naboo when I was Queen. Then when you returned with Hermione, all those feelings came rushing back. Almost as if they’d always been there,” she explained.
Severus didn’t say anything. He simply took her hands and led her around the sofa so that she was standing in front of him. He then stood up, pulled her into his strong arms, and kissed her. Padme slid her fingers into his hair and eagerly returned the kiss.
“I’ve wanted to do that ever since I returned to Corusant,” he gasped as they pulled apart and rested their foreheads together.
“I’m glad you did,” she smiled brightly.
Severus pulled her to him and kissed her once more. Padme sighed as her body molded to his. Severus growled deep in his throat as he deepened the kiss.

Severus sat in shock on his sofa. After leaving Padme’s, he came home, grabbed a hot shower and something to eat. Hermione, Obi-Wan, and Harry stopped by shortly after he finished his meal. The three quickly told him and Solan about what happened with Lucius. It was also discovered the Harry was indeed a Jedi. The test that the Council administered to him was the trials a Padawan takes before becoming a Knight. Harry had passed them with no difficulty.
“So, let me get this straight. In the week Solan and I were gone, you have become a Jedi Knight?” Severus asked wearily.
“Yes,” Harry nodded with a quirky grin.
“Severus, we gave him a lightsaber and he used it with the ease and skill of a seasoned Jedi Master. The Council had never seen anything like it,” Obi-Wan added.
“So you’ve taken the Jedi vow?” Solan questioned.
“Not yet. I wanted to, but something held me back. I requested the Council give me time. They agreed. I will give them my decision after this matter with Voldemort and Anakin is settled,” Harry replied.
“I…I think I need to turn in,” Severus groaned.
“Well, good night and welcome home Severus,” Hermione laughed as she kissed his forehead.
Hermione and Obi-Wan retreated to her apartment. In the shadows, Ron hid. He had managed to hear every word that was said. He turned and left. He wondered how his Master would handle this new development.
