Traitor!!
A/N- Just a small update. Hope you enjoy. Wanted to add some more conflict so here you go!
Severus sat in front of his fireplace, a tumbler of firewhiskey in his hand as he looked blankly at the flames in front of him. His thoughts were all centered on one person; Hermione Granger. Severus sighed and took a sip of the whiskey, relishing in the burn that traveled down his throat before turning his attention to a container filled with marbles. Every time Hermione had tried to injury herself, or even really thought about it, a marble would plink into the container. Severus planned on showing the container to Albus tomorrow before Hermione went into speak with the headmaster. Since the Wizard\'s Oath, the container had acquired thirty two marbles. That was thirty two times that Hermione had wanted to injury herself. "Why did I not see this earlier?" Severus thought to himself as he tossed back the rest of his firewhiskey. He set the empty tumbler down, still watching the flames, lost in his thoughts.
Suddenly, the dark mark on his arm started to burn. Severus winced then sighed as he went to his closet to gather his Death Eater robes. He put them on slowly, hating the fact that he was still at Voldemort\'s beck and call, before he went over to the floo. He tossed in a pinch of floo powder and said, "Albus, I am being summoned. I will contact you when I return." Not waiting for a reply, Severus quickly appariated to Voldemort\'s private lair. He immediately went down on one knee, keeping his eyes lowered to the floor; he did not want to incur the wrath of Voldemort so quickly in the evening.
"Severus, so good of you to join us," The Dark Lord hissed from his throne. "Arise and look at me." Severus rose and turned his gaze onto the monster of the the wizard world. He kept his thoughts shielded firmly lest the Dark Lord tried to read them, and kept his face blank. Severus was expecting punishment for something he may have done, or something he may have NOT done. Voldemort didn\'t really seem to care if Severus was punished. In fact, he seemed to delight in Severus\'s torment. Voldemort\'s red eyes were red and slitted, much like the snake that he so coveted. "I fear, Severus, that we have a traitor in our midst," Voldemort began. Severus felt his stomach drop to his feet. So this was it...he had finally been found out, and now he was going to die. Severus forced his voice to remain neutral as he responded,
"Traitor, my lord?" Voldemort snapped his fingers and a beaten and bedraggled person appeared right by Severus. The figure moaned in pain; obviously whoever it was, they had been tortured for hours before being summoned here. Severus spared a look downward and nearly lost bearing as he saw that the figure was none other than Percy Weasley. "The little fool should have known better," Severus thought before turning his attention back to Voldemort. Percy had joined the ranks of Death Eaters a few weeks ago, going against the command of the Order of the Phoenix. He thought that by infiltrating the ranks, he could gain more information than Severus. Percy, like several other Order members, thought that Severus\' loyalties were too sketchy to e relied on. "What is it that you wish my Lord?" Severus asked, hoping that Percy had not revealed his spying to the Dark Lord.
Voldemort rose from his throne and stood before the trembling figure of Percy Weasley. "I have something special in mind for this one...not death...yet, but something to give the old meddling fool Dumbledore something to think about," Voldemort hissed as he pulled out his wand. He pointed it at Percy\'s right eye and shouted, "Aufero oculus!". There was a sickening ripping sound as Percy\'s right eye was literally pulled out of the socket. Percy\'s screams were loud and shrill as he clasped a hand over his now empty eye socket. Voldemort bent down to retrieve the eye, as it had fallen onto the floor. He held it in his hand for a moment before putting it in a small glass jar that he had made appear. He handed the jar to Severus. "Put this on the Weasley\'s doorstep with this parchment." A roll of parchment appeared in Voldemort\'s hands. "For every day that Harry Potter is not delivered to me, Percy Weasley will lose a part of his body. No doubt, the fools will go to Dumbledore seeking help. Severus nodded, and turned to leave. "Severus..."Voldemort\'s voice made him pause and turn to face the snaked faced git. "Yes, my Lord?" Voldemort had his wand pointed directly at Severus\' forehead.
"Do...not...mess...this...one..up!" Voldemort hissed before lowering his wand. His message was clear though, if Severus failed, then he would die. Severus nodded to Voldemort then appariated away. Voldemort bent down and helped Percy back to his feet. He tapped the boy with his wand, and the wound was healed, yet the eye was still missing. "You did well," Voldemort said as he set back down on his throne. Percy knelt down in front of Voldemort, his one eye lowered to the ground.
"Thank you, my Lord," he said softly. It may have cost him an eye, but Percy Weasley was now a full fledged Death Eater.."and the Traitor will soon be dealt with," Percy thought to himself. He inclined his head up towards his Lord, who was holding out a glass eye. This glass eye was magical of course, and would work better then his old one. Percy gritted his teeth and popped the eye in. After a few seconds, he could see clearly and perfectly. Yes, Percy had joined the Death Eaters, but not to spy on them for the Order. Percy had been part of the Death Eaters long before he had even heard about the Order of the Phoenix....and now he was spying on the Order....for Voldemort. The war would begin soon, and soon only those pure of blood and worthy would be left in the Wizarding World...
