Silent Shriek in the Night
Don’t sue don’t own don’t give a rat’s ass.
Hey guys, sorry about the long time to update. Apparently I’m a star at the hospitals. I’ve been in and out with one thing or another whether it concerns me or someone else I know. I’ve also been working on finishing a novel I started quite some time ago. Maybe I’ll post it here one day.
Anywho, here’s the next chapter to Hemlock, and yes I will be updating more of my stories soon.

Aurors were gathered around a taped off area in a seedy nightclub in Hogsmede. Around 2 o’clock this morning they received a call about a woman being attacked by a cloaked figure in the hallway leading to the bathrooms. They immediately rushed over hoping to capture the culprit, but apparently according to eyewitnesses the man had vanished. The woman was taken to St. Mungos to hopefully save her life so they could question her later on.
Auror James Higgledy was questioning the women who were with the young woman at the time of her attack. “Please state your name and relationship to the victim,” he asked a heavy-set redheaded woman. She woman nervously replied, “J-J-Jennifer Suttlekey. Aggie was an acquaintance of mine.” The Auror nodded and continued, “You said her name is Aggie?” Jennifer nodded and continued, “I don’t know what happened. We were talking about Hermione, then the next thing I know she disappears to the bathrooms, and now this.” The older gentleman’s eyebrows rose up as he heard the name. “You mean Hermione Granger, friend of Harry Potter?” he questioned. This time the whole group nodded.
James Higgledy was writing a few things down, nodding while listening to the group of women recount the night’s events. He then asked if anyone knew where he could find Hermione so she can be questioned. He noticed then the whole group go silent. “Well if no one here knows where she is can any of you point me in the right direction?” he asked exasperated. A tall woman with blue hair chimed in stating that she went to Hogwarts with Hermione and that maybe the Headmaster knew where she was.
After taking down a few more statements the Auror left for Hogwarts. The sun was beginning to come up, so he figured might as well get an early start on what would eventually be a long day.

Headmaster Albus Dumbledore was sound asleep curled next to his lover and companion. After the ordeal he had with Hermione, Albus felt he needed some comfort from his witch who gave it to him in spades. Alas, Fate seemed to have it out for the old codger. His fireplace roared to life and the face of Argus Filch peered through it. “Headmaster! Headmaster you best get up. There’s an Auror here to see you!” he croaked and his head quickly disappeared from the fireplace.
Albus groaned in his sleep and immediately woke up. Sighing heavily, he untangled himself the Minerva’s limbs and quickly dressed. Within seconds he was seated in his office, listening somberly to the recount of the events from earlier in the morning.
“Do you know this woman Headmaster?” Auror Higgledy asked. The wizened man nodded and replied, “Oh yes, quite an extraordinary young woman. I met her when she was very young on my visit to America. Such a horrible tragedy to occur to such a brilliant witch.” The Auror nodded and wrote everything down. He then asked if he knew where Hermione Granger was residing.
“Actually Miss Granger is here. I’ve just recently acquired her for an apprenticeship in Potions,” he answered. He wasn’t lying completely. He had called Severus to his office to discuss the possibility of having Hermione apprentice under him. The Potions Master was infuriated at first, but after some gentle coaxing on the Headmaster’s part, reluctantly agreed.
The Auror’s eyebrows shot up at the news. “Do you think I may be able to speak with Miss Granger?” he asked. The Headmaster leveled his eyes with the Auror and smiled, “Of course. I will fetch her for you. Please sit, have a lemon drop. I will be back shortly.” With that the Headmaster disappeared in a flurry of green and purple. James Higgledy shook his head. He wondered what exactly was he getting himself into.

Hermione was awake and lying in the infirmary bed staring at the ceiling. She was feeling much better today and decided she could maybe coax the Headmaster to let her leave. She missed her own bed, she missed her flat, and she missed Aggie. It was strange, after she her run in with Peeves last night Hermione had the strangest dream. She dreamed she was standing in a long dark corridor and everything was shrouded in black. At the end of the corridor she could see Aggie but her back was facing her. Hermione slowly approached her, calling out her name and did not get a response. Finally she reached her and placed a tentative hand on her friend’s shoulder. Aggie slowly turned to face her, but what Hermione saw caused her blood to run cold and she could barely breathe.
Aggie’s face was contorted in a mask of pain and hate. Her eyes were gone and there was blood streaming out of the eye sockets and mouth. Suddenly her friend let out a terrible shriek of pain. Hermione looked down and could see blood pouring out of every part of her body. Then suddenly Hermione was in Aggie’s position and Aggie was the one grinning maliciously at her, a wicked blade in her hand. Hermione woke up screaming. After about 5 minutes Hermione had calmed down, silently grateful the silencing charms were still in place.
Suddenly Hermione was torn from her thoughts by the appearance of her former Headmaster at her side. “Miss Granger, your presence is required in my office immediately. I’m afraid something terrible has happened.”
