Unwanted Emotions
----Chapter 7: Unwanted Emotions----
Harry turned the corner and ran into none other than the Ice-Prince of Slytherin himself. Probably the mastermind behind this hilarious plan, Harry thought while rubbing his left shoulder that had collided against some books Malfoy was carrying which were currently littered around the floor.
“Potter,” Malfoy sneered. “do you always blunder around so blindly? How ungainly.”
“Haha, funny, Malfoy, as was your little scheme back there. Too bad I didn’t feel like hanging around Zabini any longer, or your plot might have actually worked, whatever it is that you’re trying to accomplish. Falling back on our scheming skills, now, are we?” Harry sneered back at Malfoy. Without waiting for the snide reply that was sure to come, Harry ran off back to the Great Hall in search of his friends to tell them about the incident.
Draco narrowed his eyes on Potter’s back as he ran off. Well, he tried to narrow it on his back, at least. Somehow, against his better control, his gaze slid down to Potter’s arse. After a second of staring at it, Draco shook his head, trying to get the image out of it, but not entirely succeeding. Giving up, Draco just stored it in the back of his mind somewhere, as long as it didn’t interfere with his normal everyday tasks.
Up ahead, Draco saw Blaise coming out of an empty classroom, looking mighty disheveled. Smirking a bit to himself, though he didn’t know why, he stalked towards Blaise.
“Any success?”
Blaise just growled, “No. I think I just scared him into being straighter than he already was. Which is saying something, seeing that he didn’t swoon over my body at all.”
At this, Draco felt relieved and a bit sad, though he still couldn’t understand why, “Tough luck, Blaise. I take that you’ve given up?” Draco asked, feigning an I-don’t-care-one-bit drawl in his voice.
“Are you kidding? I’m all pumped up now! But this is going to be such a challenge. I’m going to have to put a lot of effort in this one. I’m thinking I won’t just use Potter just for a shag now, I’ll actually have a relationship with him. With all the effort I’m going to use, that’s the least I can do,” Blaise said, his smirk becoming wider and wider.
On the contrary to popular belief, Draco was actually real good friends with Blaise. Whoever thought his best friends were Crabbe and Goyle were completely thick and can’t tell between bodyguards that were being used and friends that are actually liked. So, it made no sense to Draco why he had the sudden urge to slit Blaise’s throat right now.
Draco managed a quick “Suit yourself,” before turning from Blaise and walking away before he accidentally committed murder.
As Draco was walking, he berated himself for having a string of unnecessary emotions these past few minutes. Malfoys don’t feel anything except pride and the occasional must-beat-the-Gryffindors-to-a-bloody-pulp feeling. Certainly not jealousy, envy, or anything around there! Since Malfoys had it all, there was no need for envy. Really. What was wrong with him right now?
Draco heard the bell signaling the end of lunch ring and joyous chattering coming closer and closer. Draco straightened his shoulders and stood up tall and proud, exactly how a Malfoy heir should stand. He sauntered through the crowd that came pouring around the corner, which was fairly easy since everyone parted for him, trying to avoid any confrontation. Feeling a bit more powerful, Draco sauntered to Potions, which, without doubt, will be with the bloody Gryffindors.
----
Harry had burst into the Great Hall approximately five minutes before lunch was over and hurried over to Ron and Hermione who were staring at him quizzically.
“God DAMN that Malfoy!” Harry practically yelled as he sat down.
“Harry!” Hermione scolded Harry for his choice of language.
“What’d the bugger do, Harry?” Ron asked, ignoring Hermione.
“Who, Malfoy or Zabini?” Harry sneered their names.
“Uh... both,” said Ron.
“Well, Zabini was actually being friendly before he brought me to an empty classroom. I should have seen through his little act.”
“A-an empty classroom?” Ron asked nervously, seeing where this was going. Seamus, Dean, Neville, Ginny Weasley, Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil, and the Colin brothers all leaned in a bit, their interest in this conversation sparked.
“Yeah. And then he... he...” Harry trailed off, the full impact of the actions hitting him right now. “Oh Godric, I think he was trying to... to...”
Hermione took his hand in hers and stared him in his eyes; her own eyes a soft soothing brown color, “What did he do?”
Harry allowed himself to blush a bit (or more like, couldn’t control it), “I-I think he was trying to seduce me.” He put his head in his hands, willing his face to retain its original color.
“He WHAT?!” Ron yelled, making a big scene. Hermione shushed him before turning towards Harry, patting him hesitantly on the arm.
Seamus slung an arm around Harry again, “Did it turn you on?”
Harry’s head snapped up and turned to stare disbelievingly at Seamus. He didn’t think his face could get any redder. “W-what?!” He croaked out.
Hermione punched Seamus in the arm just as the bell rang. She glared at him as he laughed while rubbed his arm. “Just wondering, Harry,” he said before he sprinted out of the Hall before Hermione could curse him to pieces.
Harry’s face was slowly cooling down, and he got up and gathered his things. Ron put his hand on his shoulder, “You can tell us the rest in Potions, okay?” Harry nodded, still feeling a bit embarrassed.
With that, Hermione, Ron, and Harry went forth to their Potions class. With the Slytherins. Oh joy, thought Harry.

Night: Of course, all long-lasting relationships need to start out slow. Or else they'll just crash in burn, and we don't want Harry and Draco burning to death, now do we? ^__^
chrissy: Cliffys are very important *nod nod* ^__^
Ryu: heheheh... i suppose Blaise took off his little gray sweater thing w/e first, and then he loosened his tie to unbutton the white thing (it's a buttondown shirt, right? i thought it was...) and then... yeah. heheheh...
