Betrayal
Harry stood leaning against Hermione’s front door. He’d just looked through her living room window and seen her lying on top of a man with messy brown hair. The time he had stood there watching he had seen enough to realise who the man resembled though it wasn’t possible. That man was dead or at least as good as.
He took a deep breath and turned back to the window, he could see the man was now sitting up, taking Hermione in his arms with more power, more dominance over her. Harry’s fists clenched as he watched the man lean in and say something into Hermione’s ear which made her laugh, a laugh that lit her face up. They slowly climbed to their feet, only ceasing kissing when Hermione would laugh and struggle against his embrace until he finally picked her up and put her over his shoulder, walking away from Harry into the kitchen obviously heading for the stairs.
Harry controlled himself, he knew what lose felt like, it had happened to him more than once but this was different. He had no right to feel angered by Hermione’s actions but he was. He felt something like ownership of Hermione and not just of her physically, her intelligence, her spirit all added together to make her something he wanted to own. He realised he was trying to have his cake and eat it too but after everything that had happened he thought maybe destiny was giving him a gift.
He turned to the door his arm poised to knock but he stopped himself. No good would come of it. He didn’t know what he wanted to do, or even what he should do. Slowly he walked down the path and out of the anti-apparition shielding and apparated back to the manor. He needed to think, work out what he had to do to get rid of the burning pain he felt in his chest. At that moment he was willing to do anything to put out the fire surging through his blood stream.
Authors Note; this was a short chap but the next one is a lot longer and *da dah!* has Hermione and Barty smut! Thanks to everyone who has reviewed me, its great to hear what you guys think. Happy New Year Everyone!
