Sirius entered the living room, holding two cups of tea. He realized Eileen had fallen asleep and put the cups on a table. He went over to the sofa, intending to cover her with a blanket, but he jumped and swore under his breath as something small dug into his foot.

He moved and looked down to see three tiny diamonds, glinting in the moon light that was streaming through the window. Eileen’s hand was hanging over the edge of the sofa, just above them. Sirius looked closer; there were three tiny red indents in her palm where she had squeezed the sharply cut gems so tightly. Any tighter and they would have drawn blood.

There was a faint line between Eileen’s eyes. Sirius hoped she wasn't having a nightmare. She had been through enough tonight.

He put a blanket over her and sat on the arm of the sofa to drink his tea.

Three days later, Hermione crawled into bed. She had distanced herself from Gary, as he didn't seem to want to leave her alone. He kept trying to sit next to her at meals, so she started eating in her rooms. He was a nice guy, but she didn't like him like that. At all.

She fell asleep still wondering if she could put up one big ward that would keep Gary Swan out of the Dungeons.

After a few hours, she awoke to find a body pressed up against her back. Still sleepy, she wondered vaguely who it was. As she became more aware of herself, she realized there was a hand tangled carefully in her hair, while the other persons hand had crawled under her nightdress and was spanned over her stomach.

Suddenly realizing that this could be anybody, Hermione looked over her shoulder and half-gasp half-sighed, "What are you doing here! ?"

Eileen hurried out of the bathroom, with her body and hair wrapped in towels, searching for her wand. She usually took it into the bathroom with her when she had a shower, so she could dry off quickly, but this time she had forgotten.

"Are you doing dinner tonight -?" Sirius asked, obviously assuming she was dressed as he wandered out of the living room into the hall. He jerked to a stop when he saw her.

Eileen smirked, "It's too late for me to be cooking. We are strange, you know that; having 'dinner' at gone midnight. Oh well... Anyway, you're making it, not me."

She went into her room, spying her wand on her bedside table and grabbing it.

Sirius followed her, leaning on her door frame as she dried her hair, "I think you are making dinner tonight. I have to listen to you wailing every time you're in the shower, so it's only fair!"

Eileen pushed him out of the room and shut the door as she dropped her towel, dried herself and looked for her night dress.

"I don't wail!" She called through the door as she pulled on some underwear.

"You do!" He insisted from outside, while she pulled her night dress over her head, "All I ever hear when you're in the bathroom is Laaaaa... Hmmmmm.... Oooooo...Aaaaa..."

When Eileen had finished tying her dressing gown around her waist, with Sirius still imitating her, she pulled open the door and he had obviously been leaning against it, because he fell flat on his face.

She dropped down next to Sirius, bending his arm up around his back, not painfully, but with a hint of threat.

He turned his head to glare at her and Eileen smirked, "Now, say I have the voice of an angel!"

"You have the voice of an angel..." He grumbled. Eileen let go of him and got up, picking up her wand, when she heard him mutter under his breath, "...with a chest infection..."

Eileen sent two wet towels zooming his way.

Suddenly realizing that this could be anybody, Hermione looked over her shoulder and half-gasp half-sighed, "What are you doing here! ?"

"Watching you."

Hermione raised her eyebrows, "Don't. You're not meant to be here."

"I am meant to be here." He growled.

Hermione smiled, "Was it that bad?"

"No," He breathed, leaning down to press a kiss to her shoulder, "You're just that much better." Hermione laughed. Severus sighed, "Actually, it was hell. I'm never, ever going back."

"What happened?" She asked.

"Imagine one tiny house, five bloody cousins and me." He said dryly.

Hermione smirked, "Were you a complete bastard?"

Severus nodded smugly, "Naturally."

"And were they bastards back?"

Another nod, "Unfortunately. The money wasn't worth staying away from you for so long."

Hermione raised an eyebrow, "Two weeks?"

"Too long." He insisted.

Hermione settled down as Severus put his arms around her, drawing her closer. Suddenly, she had a thought.

"You did tell them you were leaving, didn't you?"

Severus just smirked and kissed the pulse in her throat.

"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"
