The Date that changed Everything
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter! "All I ask of you" is from The Phantom of the Opera and I don't own it either, just borrowing it.
Chapter 6
The next day, Hermione and Draco met up for lunch at a small reastraunt near the ministry. Hermione was anxious to find out about their love life, in hopes that something might spark her memory. She really was desperate to remember.
"So when did we start dating?" she asked him excitedly
"Beginning of 6th year, a few weeks after we became friends." he replied.
"Did Harry and Ron know about us dating?"
"No they didn't find out till a year later, and they weren't too happy as you had suspected. Harry was ticked and Ron was dumbfounded, that we had been together for a year and they didn't figure it out, although we were discreet about our relationship" he replied.
" I bet they were like that" she gave a small smile
" But at the end of the year we became friends and to respect eachother" he said
"What brought that on?" she asked
" Voldemorts down fall" he said simply. He didn't want to overwhelm her with too much information all at once.
" Wow, so when did we get married?" she said glancing at his wedding ring he never took off.
"Valentines Day of our seventh year. It was small but elegant. Ginny was your Maid of Honor and Blaise was my Best Man."
"Did we have a reception?"
"Actually the Valentines Day Ball served that purpose. It started out rocky, but it turned out wonderful" he said smiling remembering the night.
"It sounds so romantic" she said dreamy eyed.
"It was perfect" he replied. At that very moment, a song came. Almost as if someone had planned it. Draco got up and extended his hand out to her.
"May I have this dance, it was after all our wedding song" he asked as he gave a small smile of hope.
She smiled at him and took his hand. They joined the other couples that were dancing already. He placed one hand on her lower back and held her hand with the other while she placed one hand on his shoulder. This felt soo familiar to Hermione and it felt soo right. The words started to play and Draco sang along, singing to her.
No more talk
of darkness,

Hermione felt so safe in his arms. She gazed at him while he sang the song. Looking at man who loved her so much. She wished her memory would come back so she could return the love that she was, wait , she thought, I'm falling in love with him.

The words to the song captured her heart and her eyes began to water. She was so happy yet so sad. She was happy because she was with him now, but sad because she had lost so many memories with him because of a heartless bastard

He sang as he whispered these words into her ear. This song was made for them and it brought back the memories of them back to him. He loved her so much and he hoped this song with help her gain another memory back.

He needed her with him. She was his survival. He missed her. Even though she was their phsyically. she wasn't there emotionally. Right now, dancing with her felt so good. He cherished this moment and hoped it would never end.

Tears fell out of her eyes. Her emotions were going haywire. He heart ahced. She was feeling so much love for him, but thought it was the effect of the song was getting to her. She looked at him through watery eyes and he was gazing into her eyes, showing off all the love he could. Now she knew it wasn't just the song, it was her. She was falling deeply in love with him, but couldn't give into it just yet.

She wanted to love him, she new she did at one time and she wanted to again. She closed her eyes and with all her might, wished she could remember. Nothing happened. She wanted to fall to the floor and cry like a baby. She covered her face with her hands and sobbed. Draco placed his finger under her chin and tilted her head up to face him.
"I can't remember Draco, I want to, but I can't, and its breaking my heart" she sobbed.
He wrapped his arms around her and held her.
"Its ok, you will" he said as a tear fell down his cheek.
She looked up at him and placed her hand on his cheek, wiping away the tear. He lowered his head slowly and she lifted hers. It seemed like it took forever, but their lips finally met. They kissed for the first time in 3 years, and thats when it all happened.
