Toxic Afflictions

Chapter Seven

Ron and Harry broke apart and froze.In the doorway stood Hermione,her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open from shock.Ron felt the colour drain from his face as he saw the total look of hurt across his girlfriend's face as tears welled up in her eyes.

"You bloody faggots!"She cried.She quickly turned around and ran from the doorway,her sobs ecohing throughout the stairway.

Ron glanced at Harry who shook his head,signalling that he should follow her.Ron followed Hermione's sobs down the stairs.When he reached the kitchen his mother gave him a questioning look.

"Just had a little argument." He lied.Mrs.Weasley nodded her head towards the backyard,indicating that that was where she had run off to.Ron mutter his thanks then ran out into the backyard.He stopped running once he caught sight of Hermione.

Hermione was sitting at the far end of the backyard.She was all hunched up,hugging her knees up to her chest.A lump formed in Ron's throat as he made he was slowly towards her.As he approached,Hermione showed no signs of even acknowledging he was there,so he sat down cautiously beside her.

Ron went to put his arm around the crying girl but she cringed at his touch,although he was something foul.

"I can't believe you lied to me this whole time!" She shouted at him.Looking at him with the expression of pure disgust on her tear stained face.

"Hermione,I'm sorry," Ron said,not knowing what to say.He'd never seen Hermione so upset.Usually she just wouldn't talk to him for a while.But this time was different.He'd never done anything like this to her before.He'd completely betrayed her."I was meaning to tell you,honest.I just didn't know how..."

"So instead you just pretended to like me?You lead me on completely!"She screamed,rising to her feet,her face red with anger.Ron stood up to face her.

"I didn't mean to!I wanted to tell you but-"

"Don't you dare lie to me,Ronald Weasley!I can't believe I actually thought I was in love with you!I gave you everything I had and you just chewed it all up and spat it out in my face!"She shouted.Ron stepped back,noticing that with each sentence she spoke,her right hand twitched.

"It's not like that!"Ron shouted back.He was beginging to get angry.Is she'd just listen to him.

"Of course it is!Do you think I'm blind?"Hermione nearly screamed.She was really starting to scare Ron."All along you've been a goddamn faggot!Right under my nose!The whole time you've been fucking Harry behind my back!"

"Hermione,that's not true-"

"Oh don't feed me that bullshit!I'm not stupid you know.I've been wondering who's been sneaking up to your room at night.I can't believe I thought you actually liked me when all along you've been a fucking faggot!"Ron felt his anger boiling.He wished she'd stop calling him that.Hermione went to turn away but Ron grabbed her arm and made her face him.

"Hermione,if you'd just listen to me,I could explain!"

Hermione pulled her arm out of his grasp."Don't you dare fucking touch me you filthy gay!"

"Why are you being like this?"Ron asked to her retreating back.She was normally so accepting of things.Her being muggle-born,he would've thought she'd at least listen to what she had to say.He never thought she felt this way about gays.

"Because!"Hermione turned around and shouted."It's wrong,okay?Guys aren't supposed to be like that with eachother.It's supposed to be a guy and a girl.Any other way is sick.You're sick.It's over.Just stay the hell away from me!"And with that she stormed into the house,leaving Ron staring at where she had been standing.

Ron sank down to the ground,Hermione's words running through his mind.She was right.His and Harry's relationship was wrong.He didn't know what he'd been thinking,getting into a relationship like that,and with his best friend.He'd ruined everything.Oh what a mess he had made...

I am SO sorry for the long wait.I've just had so much going on lately with guys and fights and partying and school starting back up that I just didn't have any time to update.Then my bipolar kicked in and I didn't want to have to deal with anything having to do with sex and I am just so sorry that it took so long for me to finally update.Thnxx goes out to all who reviewed:
