Chapter 7

Sirius didn’t know what was worse: his friend flirting with Snape or the fact that Snape was reacting to it.

But he’d soon left, not being able to take so much of the innuendoes and invitations to watch, Remus kept dishing out. He almost had a feeling he’d done that just to get rid of him and felt an angry rage bubble up inside him.

He was supposed to be looking out for Remus. He was supposed to be the person Remus wanted to have around. Not a stupid Slytherin. Not a stupid half-blood Slytherin. Why couldn’t he get that story out of his head?

Of course he knew why. Seven years of mercilessly teasing the skinny man his friend was more than likely shagging had made sure of it. He pushed the thought away, not wanting to deal with self doubt. No. He’d done far too much of that in Azkaban and then a lot more in that veil. He growled.

Shit. He owed Snape; it was his find that had saved him. Funny that. He thought bitterly to himself. That it’d be Snape that saved him after I nearly killed him.

Sirius wandered up to his rooms, heading straight to the hearth, his mind abuzz and confused. There was only one solution: it was time for a long chat with Elky.

Severus walked to the Headmaster’s slowly, his leg feeling the best it had it days. There was still a dull throbbing that made his knee seem twice as big as it was, but it seemed better.

It had taken him close to an hour to shake Lupin off, and he hated to admit it, the pouting, pathetic look Remus had sent him as he left made him want to return to bed as soon as possible. But he needed to exercise his leg, and he needed to speak to the Headmaster anyway.

He reached the stone gargoyle, greeting with a neutral ‘good morning’ before supplying the password. It was of yet another sweet.

Once he’d managed the staircase, he knocked twice and waited to be called in, surprised when it took another bout of knocking for the Headmaster to answer. It all made sense when he noticed Minerva sitting on a chair a chess board between them. Minerva must have finished her letters.

“What can I do for you my boy?” Dumbledore’s twinkle was there more than ever in his eyes, causing Severus to fidget mildly under his gaze. Minerva was staring in an amused way also, maybe the Headmaster had told her…?

“My cousins would like to visit me, here. I was wondering if I could find them a room?” He watched, mentally berating Minerva for her last move. She should have moved her knight!

Dumbledore’s eyes rested on his old greying chess pieces, “Of course. How long will these guests be staying?”

“They’ll be gone before school starts.” He replied.

“Good, good.”

When Severus had returned Remus did not let him leave until morning the next day. He was sore, yet just like when Black stormed into his quarters letter in hand, he found himself content. He’d slept for the little bit of the night he wasn’t moaning or panting or begging for Lupin to move faster, harder or to stop teasing.

He’d gone about setting up rooms, organizing charmed somethings for his relatives, so they’d be able to walk around Hogwarts with no problem, no matter how amusing he’d find Nicole as she wandered through the gates and started remembering all the things she’d forgotten. He was amazed when he came across Black and they simply glared and continued walking.

Remus seemed to notice the change also and set about ‘protecting’ Severus, his possessive hold on the Slytherin’s waist never faulting. Albus and the rest of the staff stared longingly at them, amused and softened by Remus’ small affectionate kisses, sweet words and valiant shielding from anything that may have harmed the Potion’s master.

That night everything had been the same, though Severus noticed Remus’ vigorous thrusts were not so much so anymore. It was still rough and almost quick, but he didn’t mind.

Two days left approximately and what a few days they were. Severus had replied back to his cousins and they were to arrive that Saturday, it was a Thursday. Nicole sent a letter back straight away, but judging by the scribbled out words, he guessed that Gabrielle had checked it.

He was glad too, he could have sworn he’d read the words: ‘make sure you wear protection’ and had blushed so brightly that Remus felt compelled to comment on how ‘innocent’ and ‘cute’ it made him look. He’d snorted and continued reading.

After an hour he’d given up as Remus set to creating a loud sucking noises on Severus’ neck and had stood up defiantly to go for a walk. Remus followed.

Severus blinked owlishly as Remus crawled up the bed that Friday night, having locked the door and placed a silencing charm on it. Severus had noticed that Remus’ eyes seemed different, they seemed… Not as possessed with lust as before.

To his own disgust, Severus’ heart sank. He was a Slytherin god damn it! He wasn’t supposed to have a heart. As Black, Moody and many of his students kept reminding him.

But he’d lose Remus soon.

Remus was careful and loving in his caresses and kisses, almost lazy as he slid Severus’ shirt off his shoulders. He removed his own before laying beside Severus.

“Who did this?” He asked, tracing a light pink scar on Severus’ chest. Severus flinched as Remus’ finger Slid up to his shoulder, still tracing, before moving back down again.

“You did.” He felt Lupin stiffen and his finger moved to another scar, smaller and thinner than the last one.

“And this one?”

“I landed on a particularly sharp rock after one of the Dark Lord’s meetings.” Remus nodded. Soon Severus was tickling Remus’ own scars and their night spiraled from there.

First there were soft kisses, then long languid ones as Remus knelt on all fours above him. He felt Remus lift his hands gently, “Touch me?” He asked softly. Severus nodded and his hands were on Remus’ waistband, drawing it down slowly.

He ran the tips of his fingers over Remus’ sensitive tip, letting his worn nails scratch the base gently. Remus let out a small mewl, though it steadily turned into a growl as Severus shimmied down the bed and took Remus in his mouth. He licked and hummed, kissed and whispered. Remus was soon coming in his mouth.

Then he was pushed back down, as Remus reached to stack Severus’ pillows into a neat pile before lifting the Potions Master, laying him back against it.

Severus’ curiosity at the change of pace was smothered by a tingling pleasure that simply hummed over every part of his body Remus touched. It seemed to rapidly grow to a burning heat as Remus entered him with wet fingers.

Severus’ moans grew louder and louder and Remus kissed him in the vain attempt to make him quieter.

“You’re very vocal,” He’d commented, kissing Severus quickly before replacing his fingers with his near throbbing erection. “So gorgeous.” He’d breathed as Severus threw his head back.

Their pace was slow and Severus was sure he was going to slide away from sanity with every thrust Remus did. His legs had wrapped around Lupin as their first time doing it face to face sky-rocketed from a slow dance to a frenzy of bucking and thrusting, of groaning and gasping.

They both called out as they came, and held each other as the white waves of pleasure and the exploding dots before their eyes subsided.

“I love you.” Remus whispered as he slid out of Severus, falling asleep almost as soon as his head had hit the pillow.

Severus was shocked speechless, though he didn’t show it. His tired body was quickly reenergized by the thought. But his common sense quickly killed his gladness, after all… Remus was still in heat, no matter how little it affected him now.

His heart nearly broke.

“It sounds like Severus is afraid of love.” She’d told him with her sweet voice, “I doubt that he doesn’t feel anything for Remus. Have you asked him?”

Sirius had had a lot to ponder on for the last few days and he’d found himself more than avoiding the Potions Master, good thing too, he wouldn’t have been able to stop the barrage of crude questions he’d made up for Snape. He’d written them down too. Just to vent, though he wouldn’t regret if Snape read them.

He was going to be staying for a while longer, just to make sure Remus didn’t ‘suffer’ from any repercussions and attacked Snape again. He’d managed a snort when Albus had mentioned it. He wanted to go home to Elky. He was missing her greatly.

Sirius sighed and downed the last bit of tea. He was supposed to go with Snape to pick up his relatives. He’d childishly mumbled about ‘big noses’ and ‘greasy hair’ and ‘Why the fuck was he going?’

Dumbledore would hear nothing of it. Remus was still asleep and he was nearly finished with his paper work. He was ‘on a roll’ as muggles said.

It was eight o’clock when Severus limped into the staffroom and went about making his cup of coffee and he nearly choked on a biscuit with Snape’s greeting.

“Nicole’s known for being protective, I’d watch what you say.”

“Oh yeah? What’s she going to do? Grease me?” Oh Merlin…

“I would prefer you kept your teasing on me. They have done nothing to deserve your hatred.”

Black nodded mockingly, “Yes, just like every other pure blood wizard.” He quickly snapped his mouth shut after that. Snape was a half-blood, remember?

Snape’s eye brow rose, “I’ll have you know that they’re muggles Black.” Snape’s eyes stared at him, almost as if he’d expected a reaction, but as Sirius stayed sitting still like a statue, Snape turned back to the window. “We’ll be leaving in 15 minutes Black.”

Sirius grumbled but tidied himself up.

They’d had to walk out past the front gates, and the walk there Sirius would have willingly said was his worst. He was dieing to crack an insult, but didn’t know whether Remus was more or so himself again. All Snape seemed to do was comment on how ignorant of his feelings Sirius had been and Remus was holding him by the collar, growling threats at him. Or so it seemed.

To their horror, Sirius didn’t have a clue where Nicole lived, and they’d had to … touch … each other to apparate there. A young girl stood there laughing at their more than disgusted faces.

Gabrielle wasn’t very tall, and Sirius considered it very strange when he thought of who her cousin was. Snape was like a big bat, as Harry kept telling him (not that he needed telling). She had brown hair that was on the edge of being called a dirty blonde, and big green eyes. She grinned and hugged Snape when she’d finished laughing.

“All packed?”

“Yep.” She’d answered. She looked up at Sirius, “Who are you?”

“Sirius Black.” He said, waiting for the usual loathing look. He didn’t get one, “Oh… I think I’ve heard of you.” She remained quiet as they waited for her mother.

Sirius had the biggest shock of his life when a woman with black hair and brown eyes practically tackled Snape, saying something that sounded like: “I haven’t seen you for so long! Please visit more often, now that that war is over.”

She turned and shook his hand after a quick introduction, and smiled broadly at him. He was nearly staring with surprise. These were Snape’s cousins? They didn’t act a single bit like him!

Eventually, after checking the telephone (he had stared at it quizzily, how was it supposed to work?) and the list on the fridge (again confused Sirius had stared) Sirius had the bags while Snape wrapped an arm around both girls.

“Here we are.” He’d said, just for show and his own amusement.

Before entering the Hogwarts gates Snape had given each of them a necklace with a fox on the end. Sirius didn’t understand what they were for and decided to ask Dumbledore about it later, lest he make a fool of himself in front of the muggles. He sighed as they neared the castle, both girl’s eyes large and mouths agape.

“It’s huge!”

DF: Oh deary me… Remus isn’t in heat anymore? What’s Severus going to do? And what trouble are the muggles going to cause?

Hm… Anyway…

Review please… ^_^
