Carrie – Good. That’s exactly where I am too. I dreamed this idea the other morning, just had to write it, but am letting the story grow as it sees fit.

Snape talked in the fireplace. Hermione heard him make small talk with the other order members. She heard him ask for Tonks to come to Hogwarts as soon as she was not busy, and that it was private. Hermione wondered what the secret was. It had something to do with her sex life, or lack there of. “It has to be that wizard, he is the only one I’ve been with. The order must need information about him,” she thought.
It was over an hour before Tonks was free. Hermione watched Snape carefully to make sure he neither ate or drank anything. When Tonks came out of the fire, and sat down, Hermione thought to her-self, “now we get to the bloody bottom of this.”
“Tonks,” Snape said. “I need to talk to Miss Granger about a very private and important matter. We are both going to take Veritaserum that will make us tell each other the whole truth, and anything that pertains to it. She has already watched me to make sure I am not under a polyjuice spell, but wishes a witness in case I am somehow tricking her. What we will talk about, I doubt she will want you to hear, once she knows what it is, so afterwards we will wipe your memory after this point. You will remember coming here and why, but not what was discussed. Are you ok with this arrangement?” Snape looked at Hermione and then to Tonks. He shook his head slightly and looked impatient as the seconds ticked by.
“So I would be here to protect Hermione, and what if she didn’t want my memory wiped,” asked Tonks.
“Well this matter has to do with me also, so I really insist on it,” replied Snape. He wanted to get it over with. He was grumpy from the almost two hour weight already. In fact he almost looked nervous.
“I would like to take the oath first and you to take the Veritaserum first. That way I can ask you if you are being truthful,” Hermione told Snape. “I want to know exactly where I stand before I am at your mercy and tell you every though in my head.”
“Very well but if I start to prattle on like a first year, I want you to say, shut up, I bet you would like that, to be able to be the one to shut me up from prattling instead of the other way around.”
