Harry\'s New Dad

It was not an easy task getting used to being a dad, but Logan did his best. It took a while for Harry to fully trust him, but eventually he did. Harry talked to him a lot about a man named Remus Lupin, or as Harry sometimes called him Moony, who was a friend of James Potter, Harry refused to call James and Lily mum and dad any more. After a while Logan started to wonder if this Remus person might be worried about Harry, they seemed pretty close by the way Harry talked, so he decided he might try to at least find him so Remus would know Harry was ok.


Remus had gotten a job at a local high school teaching English while, Sirius had gotten a job as a police officer. Both had left the wizarding world after Harry was taken from them at the age of four. They had searched all the orphanages, but found no trace of him until after he had been adopted. That was when they lost hope of seeing him again as they found out he was now in America.

Remus had just gotten home and got the mail when Sirius was pulling into the dive of their small house. They both went inside when Remus noticed an envelope with writing on it he didn’t recognize. He called Sirius over to look at it to see if his lover recognized it, but he didn’t know who it was from either. They decided to open it and read the letter together. It read:

Dear Mr. Lupin,
I hope this letter reaches you. I thought you should know two years ago I adopted a little boy I think you might know. His name is Harry James Potter. He talks about you and a man named Sirius Black all the time and I thought he might like to have you back in his life. Enclosed is our address, if you wan to write to him, as well as some pictures from the last couple of years. As you probably know he will turn seven in a month and I would like to invite you and Mr. Black to his birthday party.

Remus pulled out a couple of pictures of a small boy with black hair and green eyes and all he could do was stare at them. Both he and Sirius decided they would go to the birthday party and wrote back to Logan telling him so. They also talked to him about moving to be with Harry and he got Professor Xavier to pull some strings and get the two some jobs. Remus was going to teach at the institute and Sirius was going to help Logan teach defense. They decided to keep the knowledge that they were coming as a surprise for Harry for his Birthday. Suddenly July 31st couldn’t come soon enough.

However come it did and the three adults couldn’t wait to surprise Harry. Remus and Sirius had gotten into town late the night before and a teacher, Scott Summers, picked them up and took them to the institute so Logan could stay with Harry. They had gone straight to bed when they got there so they would be awake to surprise Harry at Breakfast. Xavier decided to announce them to the teacher and students who stayed over the summer. (Charles knows about the Wizarding world and doesn’t mind that Remus is a werewolf. The adults have something set up to keep the students safe, like a reinforced room or something. But they are going to keep the fact that the two are wizards quiet. They also know Harry is a wizard, he told Logan and convinced him they were real.)

Logan when into Harry’s room the next morning to wake him up to get ready for the day, then they headed to the dinning room where every one ate their meals together. Upon entering the room Harry saw two faces he thought he would never see again, and all he could do was stare.
