Two Malfoys in one

7

It was times like these that Harry had Cherrished the last seven years. Sitting here with Ron and Hermione, just sitting there reading in the common room. He had alot on his mind. He still hadn't gotten his information from Malfoy, though he'd never confess to it, he just hoped Draco would pull through his injuries. He'd been to see Remus every day and asked about him, but the old werewolf always said the same thing each day, no change and still not strong enough to move. Harry was fixated, he knew he couldn't begin his quest, but Draco was holding him up damn it.

Hermione noticed his lack of intrest in his surroundings, she worried about Harry now more than ever. She did everything she could to try and pull him out of his thoughts, by orginizing trips or by getting him involved in things that might help. She was afraid that if he didn't turn it around all the stress of the entire wizarding world would break him, it was only a matter of time and she held out hope that he would seek help if the time came. AS far as Malfoy's Situation, he was on his own, he was a werewolf now, perhaps without wanting to be, but that was his problem, Harry was hers.

Ron on the other hand was just to wrapped up in his own little world with a game of wizard's chess. He had been getting a bit better since his father was gravely injured trying to work covertly to try an discover the Dark Lord's targets. He'd been in a great deal of shock and withdrew from many of his normal relationships, even with Hermione. The war was on and he never imagined that his families allies would be so inept at fighting it, he thought bitterly of Malfoy for a while, blaming him for many things. Snape was a whole other story, one that made him as red as his hair.

Remus knew one thing, he had to help Draco because that is what Dumbledore would have wanted. He accepted the role as teacher, surrogate parent to Draco, because he knew what it was like in a high society home. When he had come to have been bitten he saw how much his Parents' neglect hurt his own soul and heart. Even though his family never rejected him he definitely started to realize that Draco had it much worse. The boy was lost all he had ever known had been stripped away, but maybe Remus Lupin could help him find a better path. So help him, he was going to try. He opened the door to the boy's room and entered slowly, the full moon would be out soon and he wanted to make sure that he was comfortable.

"Mister Malfoy?" Lupin said softly.

Shocked at the fact that the bed covers had been strewn all over and a broken potion container was on the floor. His eyes went wide as the full moon would be out in nearly an hour. He'd have to fire call Hargrid and the rest of the teachers who knew how to properly deal with a raging Werewolf. He just hoped they could move fast enough to stop him before he did any damage to the school. Lupin was sure that's where he would go. His heart tightend as the fireplace lit.

"What the hell was that?" Ron bit out shocked from his game.
"No idea, but we better stick close together." Harry commanded his friends and the both nodded.

The noise that had scared them was very close and as they got closer to the enterance they heard people shouting and a great amount of angry growls. They looked at eachother and nodded that they would go ahead and continue, Ron was very scared and Hermione was hanging onto him as much as he was her. Harry was un detered as he exited to the courtyard he saw instantly what was happening. Malfoy in his Werewolf form was attempting to battle off about eight or so teachers as well as Hagrid. Draco was raging on and the few stun spells that managed to strike him only seemed to make him more angry.

Harry watched as the teachers continued to struggle with him and wondered what he could do to help. He mulled it over quickly in his head when one of the men spoke.

"We need to hit him all together!" A strange man Harry didn't recognize yelled out to the others as one of them gave an audible yelp, if he didn't do something one of those people could get hurt. He thought to himself angrily. He continued to scramble for an idea when it finally hit him like a firebolt to the brain.

"DRACO! STOP THIS CARNAGE NOW! IT'S ME YOU WANT!" And he whispered the last words. "So here I am!" And nearly an instant after he said it, the creature turned to him with bloodlust in his eyes, and the momentary distraction allowed the group to stun him into blackness.

It was almost dawn, they had brought Malfoy here and for some reason he hadn't transformed back to his human self. No eye contact with the moon and he still was a raging beast growling wildly the mediwitches and wizards were stumped they didn't know what to think at all. Remus was the most worried about this, the boy was his charge, he should have made sure that the potion was drunk by Draco, he was angry at the boy for being so foolish, he was lucky that Remus cared enough to keep those he alerted to a short list, or someone would be calling about him being imprisoned. As he watched the beast held to a slab of stone by large iron clasps and several chains, he wondered why Draco in beast form had managed to be so in command of his thoughts. Most werewolves just wandered the woods looking for a meal. He shivered at the thought, many times having woken covered in animal blood.

Harry was still in a bit of shock. Why had Draco pursued him to the school? He shook these thoughts off, but the stabs of pity for his one time enemy were getting harder to control. He thought alot about Draco recently and it was becoming very hard to deal with, he really just wanted to focus on his own things, but he cared for people, and that struggling beast tugged at his heart.

"Harry?" The boy closed his eyes. Not now, he thought to himself, you're dead.
"I assure you, I am quite dead." The voice of Dumbledore rang through his head. His eyes were now squeezed down as much as they could go. He'd been hearing dumbledore in his head for months now, it had gotten worse, because now, the voice seemed to know what was happening. Harry was sure he was losing his mind.

"Whatever you see infront of you is not Draco." The old wizard said simply. "Well not exactly." The eyes that Harry felt move across him in his mind chilled his blood. "There is much you don't know of our world, but there is more that even these doctors don't know." Dumbledore seemed disparaged by his last statemnt, this intrigued Harry, this time, his own mind's voice replied.

"So what, you mean he's not a werewolf?" Harry said a tad shocked.

The man laughed. "Oh no no, he's a werewolf, but Draco is so much more torchured than that curse alone." He now had a form in Harry's head. "You should know what he is, after all, your father was one."

Harry looked confused. "But my dad wasn't a...." Harry's eyes went wide in relization. "You mean?" The man nodded. "But How?"

"There is much about magic that people don't understand. Like Ms. Granger most Wizards and witches learn their craft and become strong through great knowlege, then there are some like yourself whp's destiny determines your strength, In Draco's case, he was very strong from birth. He is an animagus, but not because he studied to be, or was shown to be, but willed himself to be."

"Why? what would make him assume the form of a werewolf as his form anyway?" Harry spoke really confused and desperately hoping he had some answers from Dumbledore.

The ghost form shook his head. "you'll have to get Ms. Granger to look it up. I'm afraid my dear boy, that I seem to be a little empty headed on the subject, but she should be able to help you. One last thing Harry, my boy. You must move on, the both of you, no matter your past, none of that matters now, the war I feared is on now, and you two may be the only ones that know what they're up against."

Harry was shaken from his dream by a very worried Hermione. "Harry are you ok?" she asked gently and he nodded.

"Listen 'Mione, I need you to look up whatever you can on Animagus. More specifically, spontanous, or unlearned." She looked confused, but his eyes told her she had better get on it. Ron was back at the common room, and Harry was thankfull, he didn't want to have to explain what he was about to do. He eneterd the room where Draco was actually being held. He slowly approached the stone slab and waved off the doctors who looked to interfere.

"Malfoy, drop this, I need to talk to you." Draco growled at him but didn't struggle, he had clearly warn himself down. "Now Draco" The beast growled and seemed to concede to Harry's request and in a few seconds, the large 8 foot white furred wolf slammed his fist down on the slab and soon a young blond man lay in his place, shivering and covered in sweat, tired to the bone. He pulled the boy off the slab and onto his lap where he wrapped him in a blanket. He didn't intend to give Malfoy any attempt to avoid him, although holding his enemy's naked form made him blush.

"Hurts so bad." He heard the boy say.

"I'm sorry." He said softly tighting the blanket around the small form in an attempt to warm him.

"Draco?" He asked softly.

"Hmm?" Draco answered sleepily as he tried to open his eyes.

"I need to ask you some questions." Harry watched as the brows furrowed and he breathed deep, this could be one long night.
