Chapter 7: Schemes Unfold
Written by: Flamesky

“Draco…”

Some time during their kissing, Harry found himself with the blond almost on top of him as he was pushed on the floor.

“Stop…” He panted again, but the blond didn’t lessen, instead, he went on with the butterfly kisses all over his face.

“Please, I…” Green eyes fluttered close as his pulse line was attacked by gentle licks and kisses. A soundless moan escaped his lips, hands trying to push the other boy off when in fact, they were pulling. “Draco please…”

The Demon grinned as he placed himself between Harry’s legs, elbows at each side of the Angel’s head as his fingers played with the raven hair. Emerald eyes opened, quickly met by quicksilver ones. “Hey,” He said simply.

Harry blinked. “…Hey.” A blush crept on his face by the way Draco was looking at him. “You want me to stop?” The Angel turned his face looking away. “I…” However, his lips fell close as the blond took the opportunity to press other kisses on the new skin offered.

“Draco...” Breathed the smaller boy. Again, the Demon grinned, hands caressing the Angel as he worried the lobe of Harry’s ear. A smile curled the Angel’s lips as Draco begun to snuggle in with extra loud sniffs, Harry let out a small laugh.

“Draco!” The blond faced him with a mischievous smile. “Ticklish?” Harry paled. “Don’t you dare-Draco!” The Angel begun to wiggle wildly as slender fingers tickled him merciless. Cheeks red, Harry laughed good-naturally, now really pushing on the blond. The Demon smiled satisfied, he to letting out some chuckles as suddenly, Harry leaped to catch Draco’s wrists making him roll to the side, Harry falling on top.

They breathed in heavily at the struggle, still both smiling almost foolishly. Realizing their position, Harry looked away quickly letting go of Draco’s wrists. But the blond had none of that.

The Demon quickly circled Harry’s waist with his legs, locking him there. He then reached for Harry’s arms and forced them on his chest. This brought their face terribly close.

“Planning to run away?” Harry looked back at him. He wasn’t really smiling but didn’t look quite serious too. “How may I, with you here blocking me?” Another satisfied grin appeared on the Demon’s face. “That’s right.” He whispered, eyes glinting with an arrogant flash.

A hand came to pet Harry’s head, forcing the boy to rest his chin on his clasped hands. Now, if Draco was to raise his head just some inches…There would almost be no distance between their lips. Harry looked boldly in the silver gaze. A blond brow arched at that, pleasantly surprised at the daring look.

Even the Angel himself was quite surprised at his own bluntness as he tried to figure Draco out. Who was that person? Who was he?

The hand went on caressing him; Harry kept quiet enjoying the gentle touch. The Angel’s heart slowly went back to normal as he relaxed. All was so incredibly romantic, just thinking of it made his heart do a sudden dive. The two of them, under a sky full of stars…Harry had never experienced such thing with… That feeling in the middle. It made it all more beautiful, he realised.

Harry sighed, looking away as he rested his head on Draco’s shoulder. One of the blonds’ hands travelled down his back, rubbing some warmth as the other still massaged Harry’s head. He could have fallen asleep. The Angel really felt comfortable now.

Harry focused on the rhythm of Draco’s heart and smiled as the normal breathing lulled him slightly. Closing his eyes, Harry curled his fingers in the blonds’ robes. This felt really nice…

Not just that, but been with Draco was nice. Harry begun to feel warmer inside, a small smile curled on his lips as he rubbed his cheek on the strong chest. It was fun and in a weird way, he didn’t feel treated by the Demon.

Even if yes, it was weird. How could a person change all of a sudden?

But Draco had been kind and Merlin forbid! Even loving, he was playful and had touched Harry is such tender ways… They had stargazed, talked and they had kissed…

They…

Another blush warmed Harry’s cheeks and he snuggled in more. They had kissed, oh boy, and were doing what to Harry seemed…Cuddling. And it felt unbelievably gorgeous! Unbelievably amazing!

Unbelievably perfect.

Right, perfect. The Angel begun to stiffen up slightly.

Why did he suddenly have the feeling this was way to perfect? He thought about the way Draco had acted the first time they had met or well, Draco had forced the Angel to meet him. Harry’s mind begun to clean the fog the Demon’s effect did on him. In his mind, Harry slapped himself. This was ridicules; Draco was just doing an effort he was trying to change…

Change for a person they just met?

Well…Possibly, yeah…

But they were soul mates! Honestly, whatever they will have would be so pure and sincere and of course! Perfect, so…

Then, why did this feel perfect…But just not that pure or just…Not that sincere?

What kind of perfect did they have?

…And when did they become ‘they’?!?

Emerald eyes opened, smile disappearing and he sat up.

“What’s wrong?” Harry opened his mouth but nothing came out. He didn’t meet the silver eyes as he sighed and stood up. “It’s late.” He said finally as Draco rose to his feet. Harry cleared his voice and looked anywhere but at him.

The Demon frowned even if he nodded. He watched Harry closely as he quickly went to open the door that let them down the curled stairs. He followed not complaining and was surprised when the Angel suddenly picked up speed and ran down the stairs.

“Harry!” The Angel didn’t give any signs of hearing him. “Harry, wait!” It was no use, Draco jumped several steps with agility, trying to catch up but Harry was way too far. The Demon frowned highly debating if he should use his powers...

Stumbling down the last steps of what seemed the interminable stairway; Harry looked back, breathing deeply as he did. Draco was no where to be seen. Not waiting to see if he was coming after him any longer, Harry sprinted gulping down huge breaths of air.

Oh no, were to go? Harry turned for some random corridor. The Angel didn’t know were the blond had brought him, how could Harry find his room now? A new arrow of panic hit him. Were to go exactly? He was in such a mess! How was it possible that he always fell in such big messes?

Why him anyways?! He certainly did not go look for trouble it…It was just trouble that always seemed to find him!

With a sudden soft thump, Harry’s frenetic run was stopped. Arms circled him tightly. The Angel didn’t need to look up to know who it was.

Speaking of the devil…

Literally…All pun intended.

“Would you explain to me what the heck is going on??” Harry pushed forcefully away from the blond as he glared. “Let me go!” He hissed. Draco snorted confused as he struggled with the shorter boy. Harry managed to grip one of Draco’s wrists and hold it away while he still fought to get the other hand off him.

Strangely, it reminded him of the little episode that had just taken place in the balcony were Harry had succeeded in stopping the blond from tickling him. The cheery memory just made his mood worse, expression darkening as he gave an outraged shrill.

Seemed he wasn’t doing such a good job now, did it?

“Just give it up!”

“What? Why? Harry, you aren’t making any sense! Everything was just going on fine, it was perfect and-” “Right was it!?” Harry stopped, chest rising and falling in deep breaths as he looked daggers up the taller boy. The blond just frowned confused, he opened his mouth to speak but Harry had been faster.

“Did I play the perfect petite purring submissive mate?” Draco blinked, that just angered the Angel even more. “Did I?!?” The demand was followed by a harsh squeeze on Draco’s wrist. The Demon seemed not to even notice the supposed pain filled gesture.

“Was I a good puppet? Did you enjoy stroking and moving my silly little wires? Did the play come on perfectly!?” Again, Harry extended the pronunciation on ‘perfect’. “Harry-” “Shut up!” Draco’s expression turned cold, eyes hard as ice. “Seems like you have a habit about asking questions and then telling the person to shut up when they try to answer them!” Harry jumped slightly as the last part was screamed directly in his face.

With a sudden push, Harry was crushed hard in the wall, head knocking on it as he let out a stream of curses that one would ask how they could be in an Angel’s mouth.

The hand on his hip tightened painfully, how foolish of him! Draco was million times stronger, bigger and was now so pissed off…What was he doing competing him!?

“I don’t care! I just want to go back to my room and I don’t want to hear your disgusting full of lies spitting voice any time soon!” Draco was stony; astonished he watched the Angel blink back furious tears. His cheeks had gone slightly red again, like thousands times that night, but it wasn’t for something pleasant.

Evidently.

The Demon chewed on the inside of his cheek, anger making him burn as the grip on the small boy intensified. Harry flinched more than uncomfortable now, as he was practically splattered against the wall. While his only free hand pushed desperately on Draco’s shoulder, his other had been slammed against the wall too, some how, the Demon had managed to reverse the roles and he was now, gripping Harry’s wrist next to his head.

The blond glared fiercely. “I will not have you speaking to me like that.” His voice was low, barely containing the quick erupting anger. Harry gapped, he felt as he was ten again and was been scowled up for something he did wrong! Well, he wasn’t ten; he was a nice grown-up Angel. Right.

Oh right! He –was- an Angel!

Gulping down the fear, Harry glared back at the taller boy. “I want to go to my room, and I want to go there now.” The Demon snorted sarcastically and stepped away. “Go then,” He said with a sneer.

“And I will.” Draco crossed his arms as he looked expectedly down at him. With a huff, Harry adjusted his robe and walked away, not even spearing the blond a glance. After he took several confident steps, he felt the presence of the Demon, he stiffened some more even if he was trying to be calm and cool. For the time been he ignored the presence, however, when it pulled him around a corridor he found it hard to not pay attention.

“I don’t need you to walk me.” Draco stoped and looked at Harry. “Don’t be ridicules, you have no idea were your room is.” The Angel placed his hands on his hips as he glared. “And I suppose, you do?” The blond looked away before glaring right back. “As a matter of fact, yes I do. Now, care to follow me?” Harry gapped but once again, was pulled forward. Grasping his arm back, the Angel followed the Demon without another word.

Soon enough they were in front of the painting to Harry’s chamber. The peaceful green landscape greeted them with the beautiful fairy in a striking pose. “Hello boys!” She smiled, hazel eyes going between Draco and Harry. The Angel rolled his eyes slightly and took a step forward as he prepared to say the password.

“Wait.” Harry turned to the Demon. “Don’t you want me to go away so I don’t hear your password? Aren’t you scared I would sneak into your room at night while you sleep?” The thought made the Angel pale and blush at the same time as he looked away from that intense gaze.

“Planning to?” He asked in a weak voice. Harry didn’t look up instantly, but as the blonds’ pause went on, he dared a glance up. “If you well know, were my room is guess I might be expecting anything, right?” For a moment Draco looked at him with that unreadable look. Sighing, the Angel turned to the fairy. “Cove.” The fairy smiled and jumped up and down as the painting opened.

Harry stepped at first glance Sirius and Remus seemed to be missing, he was glad about that. Slowly, he gripped t he painting ready to push it close as his eyes met silver. “You know that, I could come in right now.” Harry’s hands tightened on the painting. “Of course I know.” He said in what seemed to him, the right amount of confidence.

There was another pause as Draco stepped forward, Harry’s heart gave a warning thump but he knew it wasn’t anything to worry about. With wide eyes, he watched the Demon a step away from entering. The blond looked back at the Angel. “Aren’t you scared?”

“Terrified.” The Angel stepped away and turned to check again for Sirius and Remus. But as he looked up the Demon’s face, Harry had definitely a satisfied expression. At this, Draco went some couple of steps away from the door. “Wards.” He said, Harry smiled not much pleasantly at him. “Yes.”

Draco reached to touch Harry but as he did, his hand was shocked with what seemed electricity. Harry himself bolted at the light not expecting it to be that strong. The blond stumbled back, hand against his chest. Harry got a tad worried…

Just a tad.

“I thought we had come to an agreement.” Harry snorted. “When?! When you suddenly acted all nice and charming?” The Demon quickly composed himself and leaned his other hand on the wall. “Whatever it was, it was going fine. What’s up with you?” Green eyes looked away and he finally begun to push the painting close. “I can’t stand lies.” He responded simply. “Your actions however genuine they might have been seemed all some bunch of fake artificial…Stuff.”

“Stuff?” Draco repeated with disbelief. “And if you have nothing more to say to me then other lies, our conversation ends here.” Harry hadn’t looked at the blond when he had said this. “Harry…” The Angel closed his eyes, resting his head against the painting as he did so. “Don’t use that tone with me. It sounds just as fake.” There was a moment of pause where Harry straightened up from his position against the painting and begun to finally push it close again.

And then, not even over his own accord, the Angel looked up to find silver slits glaring down at him. Draco shifted on his feet in a gesture of impatience as he suddenly let out a low growl and walked away. Harry was stunned as he watched the blond leave before finally closing that darned painting.

Finally in his privacy, the Angel jumped in his bed, curling around his cushions as he wondered about what he had just done. After few seconds he had to blink quickly as tears were in his eyes. Had he just done the biggest mistake of all?

Well, if ‘I’ was to answer that…

The restless Angel caressed his temples. He was chickening out! He just knew it! However, something in Harry did feel right, he couldn’t explain it but it did. Brushing away a tear, Harry thought about how the Demon had treated him.

“I felt passion.” He whispered to the room. Immediately, the Angel’s smooth cheeks heated up to an incredible blush. “Was that passion?” Harry had a small smile on his face, tears just flowing down slowly. “And…So tender…” He went on in his thoughts. Green eyes glimmered in the dark room with more silent tears.

“Desire.” Came the pant. Again, the Angel blushed. “I’d never…I’ve never…I though…To feel…Because, I think…I did? I…Oh, God!” The rasp echoed slightly in the room. Harry curled tighter around the pillow, his heart accelerating as he thought it over more. He was an Angel, Angels didn’t feel this kind of feelings unless they were to be married. Or well, that was what he knew. As far as Harry could remember, he had never felt any kind of feelings stronger than friendship for anyone. Well, for Ron and Hermione was love, but just not that kind of love and…God. God was his father, of course he felt love.

Still, a voice in his mind said, not ‘that’ kind of love.

“How could all of that be fake?”

Harry exhaled recalling Draco’s violent actions. Oh, how it scared him when he lost his temper. He knew the fact that, at times, when the Demon would blow up, by instincts Harry would act much more like a sub and tend to lessen more to the blonde’s direct commands. He hated that, he really did…

“I don’t want to be a puppet.” He cried softly. The feeling of been a pitiful helpless victim made him feel even more pathetic. Hiding his face in the pillow, Harry willed for his thoughts to leave him.

“I’ve got to start practicing my yoga…” Was the last faint cry as he suddenly felt the emotional drain pushed him to sleep.

“Draco, my boy! How ever charming to see you! Tell me son, how did your date go? Oh, do share all the fantastic details.”

The said Demon closed the painting to his own chambers with a little bit of too much force. The phony cheery voice didn’t help his mood at all. Chewing on his bottom lip, he furiously walked across the room not even minding his father’s head in the green flames. “Draco?” Now, the voice had lost all warmth and the blond knew he couldn’t avoid his father anymore.

“Father,” Draco said, coming to stand in front of the fire place. “My date went awfully well.” Similar silver eyes seemed to smirk back at him. “Don’t lie to me boy.” Spat Lucius. “What did that blasted Angel do this time?” For a moment, the younger Demon tensed, hands curling into fists as he breathed in. “The blasted Angel, as you kindly put it father, ran away.”

“Again?” Lucius snickered in disgust, shaking his head as he did. “No wonder! The boy’s spineless, what an utmost outrage.” Draco was unable to stop the sudden protective feelings that irrupted into him as he watched his father huff on.

“I’d make present to you, father, that…The Potter boy happens to be the one that defied your powers.” There was a sudden cold silence from the green flames as Lucius Malfoy’s eyes narrowed into slits. “However, as I’m your beloved only son and heir, I’ll keep quite of that sudden failure of yours and pretend it had never happened. Like you made me promise all those years ago, right father?”

“Do I smell blackmailing, my son?” It was Draco’s turn to smirk as he shifted his weight to his other foot, arms crossed arrogantly. “Don’t you remember what Dumbledore talked to you about?” Again, silence rose from the green flames as the face so similar to Draco’s but older, stared back at him.

“Which part?”

Draco sneered at his father. “You may be old, but you aren’t quite the fool, yet.” “No,” Agreed his father with a bitter tone. “Let’s leave that to Dumbledore.” At that, Draco couldn’t help to laugh out loud as he plopped himself down on a comfortable sit in front of the fire. “You will never loose that humor of yours, father.”

“The only reason why I’m allowing your smart tongue with me, it’s because of the circumstances but, if you dare come to pass the limit line of your insolence with me boy, you won’t forget it.” Draco didn’t show it, but he straightened up in his chair. “Of course, father.”

Lucius raised a superior eyebrow at his son. “Are you sure you want to go trough with this, Draco?” For a moment, the said Demon breathed calmly as his hard eyes watched Lucius. “It is I that should be asking that, father.” He said carefully. “My actions are only based on a bloody agreement, Draco. Law could put me in Azkaban regarding the separation of mates, any mates. Plus under your blackmailing…”

“You don’t fool me.” Draco said cockily. “And I know I don’t.” Lucius’s eye suddenly glinted ferociously. “You can’t possibly expect for me to forget what that tramp did to us!” He roared. “The shame he put on the family! Draco come to your senses! I didn’t bring you up to deceive me!” If Draco was affected by all this, he didn’t show it.

“Seems like some other failures of yours might be coming up, father.” He said smartly. “You should always prepare for the unexpected; things don’t always go your way.”

“Draco, you are speaking nonsense.” Huffed the other Demon. The younger blond snorted softly as he looked back up at the green flames. “No father,” He said pointedly. “It’s simply you that don’t understand my views.” The handsome but ageing features of Lucius Malfoy contracted in an ugly frown. Draco could feel his anger as those twin silver eyes glared down at him.

“Does that mean you’re fleeing from our little scheme?” The blond youth swiped away the nonexistent dirt on his elbow before calmly replying. “We will see, father…”

Silence.

“My options are still open…”

Both Malfoy’s smirked evilly as Lucius’s eyes light up. “I knew you wouldn’t abandon your family, my son.” He said arrogantly, his voice crackling in laughter as Lucius suddenly disappeared with the green flames. The unpleasant laugh still echoing in Draco’s chambers.

The blond remained frozen on spot, tormented eyes looking distant as he clutched his fists even more. Letting out another deep sigh, almost a painful one, Draco stood up, marching to his window deep in thought.

And nonetheless the circumstances…

He rested his forehead on the cool glass, hands flat on the window as he inhaled again, the emotion he had controlled suddenly spilling. The Demon’s heart gave a foreign throb as it then continued the furious almost angry speed.

The only thing on his mind was one…

“Harry…”
