Harry Potter and the Unicorn King

note: Weeeeeeeeee... Much thanks to those people who think this story is great, it
means a lot LOL... anyway, for those who are wondering and are murderous about
the topic on Harry getting laid, well... I don\'t know, but he WILL get laid so don\'t you
worry. I also want to tell everyone that I have plotted the story for the next five
chapters so I\'ll be updating quite regularly (applause)... anything else? hmmmm...

LUPIN\'S GIFT

Harry collapsed on the floor the moment they arrived inside Grimmauld Place, the
twins chose that they apparate in the kitchen.

\"Whoa, you ok mate?\" Fred asked as he helped Harry stand up.

\"Yeah just tired...\" He answered.

\"I\'d be amazed if you weren\'t...\" George said. Mrs. Weasley rushed inside the room
and bullied Harry into a chair.

\"Harry dear are you alright? are you hurt? do you need anything?\" She asked as she
started to check if anything was wrong.

\"He\'s fine mum, he was holding off quite well before we arrived.\" Fred assured.

\"I just knew something was wrong when Arabella didn\'t answer the fire.\" Mrs. Weasley
said.

\"Mrs. Weasley, Mrs. Figg is... She\'s\" Harry started.

\"We know dear... It\'s alright, she died fighting the enemy.\" Mrs. Weasley said as she
hugged Harry.

This was more than true, Harry thought, Mrs. Figg just saved my neck...

\"Is everything over back there?\" Mrs. Weasley asked the twins.

\"No, they were still fighting when Lupin told us to go.\" Fred answered.

Mrs. Weasley moved towards the pantry leaving Harry leaning on his chair. He was so
tired.

\"By the way, what happened to the Burrow?\" Harry asked as he faced the twins.

\"Well, Lupin called on every member of the order and left with those who were
present in the house, dad stayed behind and made a portkey for those who arrived
later.\" Fred said as he sat down. \"The rest of them apparated with him...\" He
continued.

\"Even the wizards from Beauxbatons helped...\" George added.

\"But how did you know that I was in trouble?\" Harry asked.

\"We didn\'t, Lupin did... We were surprised because he just went off and told us we
needed to rescue you. We were at the shop.\" Fred answered.

\"Is Lupin the new leader of the Order?\" Harry asked.

\"No, it\'s not McGonagall either.\" George said before Harry could ask.

\"Then who?\" Harry badgered.

\"We don\'t know... Haven\'t met him or her...\" Fred said.

Mrs. Weasley came in and served Harry a huge block of chocolate.

\"You eat all of that, you\'re looking pale.\" Mrs. Weasley said.

\"Where\'s Ron and Hermione?\" Harry asked through a mouthful of chocolate.

\"They\'re still at home, I didn\'t wake them up like I promised when it struck twelve.
I\'ll be sending them in here tomorrow.\" Mrs. Weasley said.

Harry was finishing off the rest of the chocolate when several cracks sounded from
the main hall. Sirius\' mum started shrieking with rage. Mrs. Weasley quickly left the
room, moments later the screaming was gone and a few people stepped in the
kitchen some were left outside the main hall.

\"Well, everything went considerably fine.\" Lupin said as he sat down across Harry.

\"Is everyone alright?\" Mrs. Weasley asked as she bustled in the kitchen and started
making coffee.

\"No one was badly hurt, well except for Mrs. Figg.\" Lupin answered as he rubbed his
temple.

\"I\'ve just assisted the rest of them to the drawing room,\" Mr. Weasley said as he
came in. \"I told them they could wait there.\"

\"The others have been sent to St. Mungo\'s, Kingsley went with them.\" Tonks said
as she took the coffee Mrs. Weasley gave her.

Lupin\'s eyes were closed. He then breathed deeply and opened them. Harry looked
at the clock and saw that it was already two in the morning.

\"Well Harry, I must say I am impressed that you were able to take on them long
enough.\" Lupin commended with a smile.

\"They\'ll be thinking twice before they attack you again.\" Moody said.

\"I almost had it with the Dementors...\" Harry said.

\"Well that\'s where we came in didn\'t we?\" Lupin continued.

Mrs. Weasley left the room carrying a pot of coffee and a tray full of cups. Harry
wasted no time.

\"Lupin, I need to go to Godric\'s Hollow as soon as possible.\" He said.

Lupin surveyed him for a moment, Fred and George looked at each other, Tonks
was watching Lupin, Moody didn\'t make any noise but kept his gaze at Harry and
Mr. Weasley sipped his coffee silently.

\"Well, I made a promise...\" Lupin said. \"But I ask to extend your patience, I\'ll just
give the details tomorrow, you need your rest.\" He said.

Harry nodded and stood up. Mrs. Weasley returned to the kitchen.

\"I have already made your bed,\" She said with a smile. \"You\'re still staying at the
same room, tidy up and get some rest.\" She continued as she guided Harry outside.

\"I left my things at Privet Drive...\" Harry remembered.

\"They already brought it here, including your broom and Hedwig,\" Mrs. Weasley said.
\"She\'s very smart, she arrived at home ten minutes after Lupin alerted everyone, I
brought her here.\"

\"I left all my old clothes at the Dursleys.\" Harry said shamefully.

\"I thought you might, I brought Some of Ron\'s old clothes you can wear them for
tonight,\" Mrs. Weasley said lovingly.

\"Here you go,\" Mrs. Weasley said as she showed Harry inside his room. \"You get
some rest alright?\" She closed the door as she left.

His things were inded already there, there were also clothes placed on top of his bed.
Hedwig was snoozing with her face under her wing inside her cage His broom was on
the floor beside his trunk. He moved to his trunk, took his toothbrush and went to the
bathroom. As he was entering the bathroom door he heard the crowd of people moving
inside the kitchen, they seemed to be heading inside for a meeting.

Harry hesitated but then silently crept down the stairs. He stopped when he heard
Lupin talking.

\"So what did Scrimgeour say?\" Lupin asked.

\"Well, he seemed rather dissapointed that we did not inform him of the attack,
apparently he wanted to be part of the action.\" Someone\'s voice answered.

Harry had never heard this voice before. It was smooth, deep and very confident, it
was also a voice of an old man, he calculated.

\"Why didn\'t you want to alert the ministry by the way?\" Lupin asked.

\"They\'ll just get in the way,\" The old man answered. \"The order is more reliable than
their men, you know.\"

\"I see you still have not changed your views.\" Lupin said with a slight chuckle.

\"I never trusted the ministry, they are a bunch of crackpots crazier than I.\" The old
man said. \"I am afraid that until they don\'t arrange their matters they cannot count
on our help. I have already given my views to the minister a few minutes ago.\" He
continued.

\"Harry is here, Molly already sent him to his room to rest.\" Lupin said.

\"That is good, I must say that I didn\'t expect him to survive an army of Death Eaters
and a legion of Dementors all by himself.\" The old man said, a hint of amazement in
his voice.

\"I told you, he is more than capable.\" Lupin said.

\"Ah, and I am starting to think so myself,\" The old man said. \"Maybe Albus was
wrong for protecting him all this time, it seems that he can take care of himself.\" He
paused. \"For now he must rest, he has been through much. Would you kindly tell him
about the details of this meeting tomorrow when he awakens?\" He continued.

\"If he asks.\" Lupin answered.

\"Remus, I do not want him being kept in the dark.\" The old man said. \"I would like
him to be fully informed.\"

\"If that is what you ask.\" Lupin said, defeated.

\"Shall we go to the meeting? I need to get back to Hogwarts in two hours.\" The old
man said.

\"Yes, this way headmaster.\" Lupin said.

Harry swiftly but silently edged down the stairs. The new Headmaster! He thought.
He\'s here!

But Harry was too late, the last thing he saw were robes of deepest blue with stars
vanish through the kitchen door. Lupin closed the door shortly after.

Harry sighed in defeat and was thinking of going down and meeting the man himself
but he thought better and went upstairs to the bathroom.

He wants me to know things... Harry said to himself as he brushed his teeth. He
believes in me!

And he\'s quite the character. Harry thought. He looked at himself in the mirror.

Maybe I might reconsider going back to Hogwarts... He thought as he smiled. He
then went to bed.

* * * * * * * *

Harry was awaken by someone grabbing him by the collar and shaking him.

\"OI! What\'s the big deal fighting the enemy and not waiting for us?!\" Ron said.

\"Fuck off...\" Harry said sleepily pushing Ron off the bed and causing him to fall
on the floor.

Next he was being hugged by no other than Hermione.

\"Harry! We were so worried!\" She said. Harry was choking for air. \"We were just told
an hour ago! Oh, Harry are you ok?!\" She asked a she let go.

Harry took a few deep breaths massaged his neck and finally answered.

\"I\'m fine I\'m here talking to you am I? And as for fighting them,\" He said as he
faced Ron. \"I didn\'t ask them to come kill me, believe me I didn\'t want any of that
sort for my birthday.\"

\"But you showed them mate,\" Ron said as he slapped Harry\'s back. \"Bloody critters
would think twice before they move again.\"

\"Yeah, hey, listen for a bit...\" Harry said.

Harry told them about Malfoy\'s presence.

\"What?!\" Ron said, his face flaring with rage. \"That bastard! I knew it all along! He\'s
a Death Eater that sick, evil, twisted, murdering ferret!\"

\"He helped?\" Hermione said, ignoring Ron\'s rants.

\"I think... I don\'t know... It\'s kinda odd.\" Harry said.

\"Helped?!\" Ron voiced, his tone slighlty becoming more menacing. \"Wanted all the
glory for himself I\'d say, didn\'t want the others to get to Harry so he could murder
him himself! That prat!\"

\"Let\'s just forget about it.\" Harry said before Hermione could scold Ron. \"I don\'t care
if he\'s a bloody Death Eater, he\'ll die along with them anyway.\" He said bluntly.

\"You should get ready then, We\'ll be leaving for the Burrow.\" Hermione said.

\"Yeah, Mum\'s made a feast for you.\" Ron said with a smile.

\"Wait,\" Harry said. \"What about Grimmauld Place?\" He asked.

\"This still is the headquarters of the Order right?\" Hermione asked. Harry nodded, he
had given Grimmauld place to the Order not wanting to have it for himself. The place
still made him feel lonely.

\"People are here, doing Order stuff.\" Ron said. \"Shacklebolt\'s here and Moody just
left a minute ago... We even saw professor McGonagall\'s face on the fire. They\'re
really busy.\"

\"But, is it still safe? Dumbledore\'s... gone...\" Harry paused for a while. \"What about
the protective charms erected in this place? are those still active?\" He asked.

\"I already asked,\" Hermione answered. \"They said there are new charms on the place
and they strengthened the old ones.\" She said.

Harry remembered who arrived earlier.

\"I heard Lupin talking to the new Headmaster.\" Harry said.

\"Really? Did you see him?\" Hermione asked excitedly, her face lighting up. \"No, I just
heard him... He arrived just after I was sent to bed.\"

Hermione looked disappointed. \"Well we\'ll be seeing him soon won\'t we?\" Hermione
asked tactfully.

Harry thought for a moment. The letter McGonagall gave them was still in his trunk,
now that he thought of it, he did want to go back... Other than curiosity, he wanted to
meet the headmaster and he felt that everyone was determined to keep the man\'s
identity to make him go back.

\"Yeah, I think we will.\" Harry said.

\"Oh Harry that\'s wonderful!\" Hermione said. \"You won\'t regret it!\"

Ron looked like a treat had been snatched from him.

\"Well I guess I\'ll have to go back too huh?\" Ron said.

\"Don\'t you want to?\" Hermione asked him and gave him a wink. Ron blushed

Harry paid no attention. \"We\'re still going to Godric\'s Hollow don\'t forget.\" He said.

\"Of course,\" Hermione said as she stood from the bed. \"You\'d better get ready we
have to leave soon or Mrs. Weasley will be angry.\" She said.

Mrs. Weasley made sure Harry had a feast indeed. They had lunch out on the yard
(de-gnomed and grass properly trimmed according to the twins). He recieved a
mountain of gifts from everyone; Mr. and Mrs. Weasley gave him a pair of khaki
slacks and a handsome, green colored sweatshirt, Ron gave him a gigantic box of
Chocolate frogs, Hermione gave him a gold pocketwatch which also functioned as an
alarm clock, the twins gave him a small jar full of what looked like multicolored
marbles, it was their \"latest invention\" they said, Harry pocketed it before Mrs.
Weasley could see. Harry also recievedA real Golden Snitch in a transparent case from
Charlie, a fancy, green, hooded traveling cloak from Bill and Fleur and finally, a small
crystal globe from Gabrielle and her parents. Hermione gave a particualr \"OH!\" when
she saw this, Harry thought he\'d ask her later.

Just as Harry thought these were all, Lupin and Tonks arrived.

\"Hello everyone!\" Tonks greeted.

Everyone greeted them back, They sat down on the picnic table and Mrs. Weasley started
giving them plates.

\"Well, seems that everyone gave you their gifts... I think it\'s time for ours.\" Lupin said.

He took out a small velvet covered case and gave it to Harry, he opened it and saw a
small, crystal stag in seated position.

\"That belonged to your dad,\" He said as the others started to chat merrily. \"We each had
one made during the summer of our sixth year.\"

\"Where\'s yours?\" Harry asked curiously as he took the crystal figurine and examined it.

\"I gave it to Nymphadora,\" He said shyly. \"Anyway, this is how you will go to Godric\'s
Hollow.\"

Harry gave him a questioning look.

\"Just hold on to that when you apparate and youll be transported to the area.\" Lupin
explained. \"It amplifies and sets your destination to that precise spot where it has
been charmed to.\"

Harry looked at the figurine. It looked so real, He thought.

\"When will you be going?\" Lupin asked.

\"Tomorrow.\" Harry answered quickly.

\"Well, I guess there\'s nothing stopping you...\" Lupin said. \"I need to talk to you
about some certain things Harry about the Order meeting this morning.\"

Harry then returned the stag to its case. He felt good that he was being properly
informed now, He then listened to Lupin eagerly.

Waaaaaaaa!!! another boring chapter huh? sorry! Well, I was thinking of squeezing
in Godric\'s Hollow but I thought It would be too long... maybe because the next two
chappies will be at GH LOL... next chapter, they\'ll be going to Godric\'s Hollow so hang
in there! LOL ^_^
