New Friends

Remus was waiting by a large rock until Snape left assuming he was dead. He waited a few minutes longer behind the large rock until he was sure that his rival had gone back inside. Then Remus swam to a place where he could rest for a while and he fell asleep there.

When morning came, Remus awoke in the same place as the night before and he noticed he had to get back to his office before his class started. He put his robes that he had used as a pillow the night before back on and swam back to the shore. Once there, he moved to a special secret passage outside where he could enter his office undetected.

After he reached the inside of his office he got undressed and took a shower and got dressed in a grey T and black jeans a red, with a gold tie and black shoes that he had designed when he was in his 5th year at Hogwarts. It had his friends James, Sirius and his faces on it, with their names underneath. He also had a new robe that also had his, James, Sirius, and his face on the back with their names written above their heads.

After getting dressed he combed his hair and left his office. When he walked to his class, he ran into Snape, who was walking down the hall.

\"I thought you drowned!\"Snape said with some surprise.

\"Yeah, I figured you didn\'t know I could swim now!\" Remus rolled his eyes before walking away.

When he entered the class, his students were waiting for him. \"Alright class. I have decided to let you guys swim in the lake. For those of you who can\'t swim, or fear the monsters that might be lurking in it, don\'t swim. Everyone that does choose to swim will need to wear these life jackets. Put them on and come with me.\"Lupin said.

Outside, he turned and once again addressed the students.\"OK guys, come on into the water.\"

\"This is so cool, Hermione!\" Harry said getting into the water.

Remus and his students got into the water and started swimming. Hermione and Harry were diving underwater while Malfoy and Pansy were swimming together unaware that Snape was watch everyone from behind a nearby rock.

Remus saw someone over by the rock and swam over to see who it was. Remus wasn\'t surprised to see that it was Snape.

\"Serverus, what the bloody hell are you doing here? Can\'t you see that I\'m fucking tired of you always stalking me?\" He asked.

\"Go away I\'m doing research.\"Snape lied.

\"On what? Half naked teen agers?\" Remus retorted angrily, swimming away.

Severus watched Remus swim away and engage in a conversation with his best student Hermione Granger. as they talked, she adjusted the strap of her swimming suit.

Clad in only swim trunks, Lupin\'s muscled chest was bare. Although he had some scars on it from his transformations, he was still very attractive. many of the girls noticed.
\"So do you like swimming?\"Snape overheard Remus asking Hermione.

\"Yeah\" Hermione answered with a smile.

Remus nodded his head slightly and went swimming under water for a few minutes, coming back up only to see a circular rock formation that you could only gain access to by swimming underwater and up into it. Hermione nodded and She and Remus went underwater to also join the others.

After classes were over, Hermione made her way back to go in Remus stopped her, saying, \"Hermione come with me.\"

She followed him into an unused class room. He turned and faced her, \"Please sit down\". Remus said.

\"O-Ok.\" Hermione answered nervously.

\"You know what you did was very wrong Hermione.\" Remus said softly.

\"Yes,\" Hermione said, bowing her head. Remus and Hermione continued talking about her actions for over an hour. When he finished lecturing her, and they were getting ready to leave, the door clicked. Remus ran over to it and tried to open it but it wouldnt open. Remus quickly tried every unlocking spell he knew but the door wouldnt budge.

\"We\'re Locked in\" Remus said. \"While we\'re here is there anything you\'d like to share with me?\"

Hermione blushed and looked away from him. After a moment, she turned back and said softly,\"Well remember third year?\" At Lupin\'s nod, Hermione smiled, \"I\'ve had a crush on you ever since.\" Hermione said, blushing slightly.

Remus gave her a sideways glance. \"Really? I never would have guessed.\"

Hermione nodded, moving closer to him. \"Perhaps the reason we are locked in her is so that we can let our true feelings be known.\" Her voice was soft, and tingles started on his arm when she reached out to touch him.

Backing away from her, Remus gave her a censured look, \"Hermione, don\'t toy with me.\"
She shook her head, and focused her chocolate eyes on his. \"Oh, no Professor.\" her hand moved from his arm to rub against his chest. \"I would never toy with you.\" Almost to make a point, she chose that moment to wet her lips with her tongue.

Journal of Remus Lupin



It was a cold and rainy day the day I started my fifth year at hogwarts. It was a great day and I was going to be a Prefect in Griffindor.

It was nearly dinnertime when my new friend Sara got here. I introduced her to my other friends, Sirius, James, and Peter. We were there to greet her in the entrance hall and tell her all the rules and the direction to her room. We were walking down the hallway when we ran into Lucious Malfoy and Severus Snape, who were also walking to the Great Hall. \"Watch where your going Lupy, cotty, Blaoy,and Pettigirl.\" Lucious spat angrily before walking away. Snape leered at us in his usual snarky way before following his blond counterpart.

Shaking my head at their bad manners, I turned to my friends, \"Lets just go.\" Turning, I led them into the Great Hall. Sitting down at the Gryffindore table, we ate all we could and then went back to our dorms and had a good nights sleep.

\"Hey Moony!\" I heard someone call. I turned to see it was James .
\"Hey Prongs.\" I said.

\"Wanna fly on our broomsticks?\"James said pulling out one broomstick from behind his back.

\"But I don\'t have one.\"I said in a disgusted voice.

\"Dont worry you can use my firebolt. I\'ll just use this Nimbus i borrowed from Sirius.\" James answered with a smile.

\"Ok then.\" I said mounting the broom and taking off being followed by James.

\"James, Remus get down here immediately!\" An angry feminine voice yelled.

James and I dismounted our brooms after we landed and went up to the proffesor that had called us down. It was McGonagall. She was furious.

\"Remus and James if you continue to break school rules, I will have to expel you.\"Proffesor McGonagall shook a forefinger at us.

\"Yes professor McGonagall.\" We said in unison.

\"You may go now\"Proffessor McGonagall said, after taking our brooms and giving us detention for the next evening.

James and I left to join Sirius. We found him and Peter talking to each other.\"We\'re going to go pick on the Slytherins. Wanna join us, Remus \"Sirius asked with a wicked smile.
I shook my head, thinking of what Professor McGonagall had told us. \"No, I\'ll catch up with you guys later.\"

\"OK.\"James said, going over to the Slytherins soon followed by Sirius and Peter.
\"Well Well Well, Lucious look who it is, it\'s Lupy.\" Snape said.

\"Don\'t you have anything better to do with your spare time, Severus?\" I asked, flustered.

\"OOH The poor little Griffindor is talking back! I do believe he is angry! Oh help me he\'s going to attack and kill me! Oh, I\'m shaking!\" Lucius feigned a frighten look before busting out laughing. \"NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.\" He was laughing madly.

Just then James, Sirius, and Peter came back and saw Snape and Lucious there with me.\"Leave him alone you two\" James said.

\"Pipe down, Jamie.\" Snape said.

\"It\'s James, you greasy haired, long nosed freak!\"James said in disgust.

Snape rolled his eyes, and held out a hand, as if to ward James off, \"Whatever\" he sneered.
\"Back off!\" Sirius said angrily to Lucius.

Lucius stared down his nose at Sirius for a moment, before turning an eye to me, \"I don\'t understand why you should even care.\" he muttered. \"Lupin is simply a freak of nature and a disgrace to the wizarding world.\"

\"Experilliumis\"Snape said aiming his wand at James.

James flew into the air. Sirius used the levitating spell to keep him from hitting the ground. Instead, he floated down gently.

\"Filipendo\" I shouted aiming my wand at Snape.He flew into the air and landed on the ground with a thud.

While Severus worked to regain his footing, we ran into the castle and back to our dorms.
