Talking to Dumbledore
I’m really sorry. A friend and I are working on the two stories “Torn” and “Wishing I was there”. Me, being the moron that I am, added the latest chapter of “Wishing I was there” to “Torn”. Sorry for being such an idiot! I hope this makes more sense!

Chapter 7: Talking to Dumbledore
Hermione was in a battle field of questions being shot at her from every corner of the room. Lily and Alice had attacked her and began begging for details as soon as she arrived. Hermione didn’t know how she was going to get out of this one.
“So, you really did it”? Alice asked. “Lily just told me”.
“I can’t believe it. You’ve only known him for a few days”. Lily stated. “Not that I think you’re easy or anything, but it’s just a bit soon”.
“I know, I’ve never done anything like this before. It’s so unlike me”. Hermione said realizing really how odd her behavior had been since she’d arrived in this time.
“Well, we all think it’s great the Remus is so happy. I can tell you two will be a couple for a while”. Lily said with a smile.
Lily and Alice continued to giggle and talk about boys, Hermione’s heart wasn’t really in the conversation. She knew she would eventually have to leave this all behind.
The sooner she talked to Dumbledore, the better.
“Hey, Monday is the full moon”. Lily’s voice brought Hermione back to reality. “Remus may be really tired tomorrow”. Lily warned Hermione.
“Yes, I’ve heard transformations are very stressful”. Hermione answered, she remembered her third year when she actually witnessed him transform, it looked so painful.
“Well, it’s been a long night. We do need to go to sleep at some point or we’ll never get up tomorrow”. Lily stated. The girls all agreed and said their goodnights.
Hermione fell asleep almost immediately. She slept the night through without waking once. None of the girls woke up until around lunch time. They decided to get dressed and head to the Great Hall, and meet up with the boys. Each girl showered and changed into casual clothes.
They made there way to the common room to find it empty. The girls assumed that the boys were already in the great hall, so they decided to head there themselves.
“So, who’s the new girl? A mudblood like yourself Evans”? a greasy tall scrawny boy stopped in front of them in the middle of a hallway.
“Go away Severus. We’re not bothering you”. Lily said forcefully.
“No, but that worm you call a boyfriend has been”. The boy answered.
‘Oh Merlin! Snape looked so much different’. Hermione thought to herself.
“You’re problems with James has nothing to do with me, now if you don’t mind getting out of my way…”. Lily yelled.
“Well now, that’s no way to talk to a fellow classmate”. A voice said from behind the girls. They turned to see a tall striking blonde wizard.
‘Lucius’. Hermione thought to herself.
“So, who’s the new girl. I believe I’ve seen you around”. Lucius gave Hermione a disapproving look.
Hermione opened her mouth to answer, but another voice yelled from behind Lucius.
“Malfoy, I suggest you leave now”. Sirius demanded. Beside him stood James and Remus. A very pal looking Remus. The effects of the full moon approaching were evident.
“Well, so nice of you to join our conversation Black”. Lucius began. “We were just introducing ourselves to the new girl”.
“I’m sure you were Malfoy, but now it’s time for you to take your leave, you too Snape”. Sirius glared holes through both of the boys. Snape and Lucius turned with a snort and evil glares of promising revenge.
“I can’t stand them”. Lily said after they’d left.
“Did he say anything to you”? Remus asked coming to stand beside Hermione.
“No, I’m fine. Thank you though”. She looked up and smiled at Remus. He looked so sick, she knew there was a long couple of nights ahead of him.
The group made there way to the Great Hall, everyone began chatting and laughing again. Hermione walked behind slowly with Remus, he was a bit slower than usual. His face didn’t show the pain, but she could see the depression in his eyes. They finally made it to the great hall and took their seats. They ate their lunch and returned to the common room. The group began their homework for the next day, Hermione was the first done. Remus finished up with his right after her, he still had a night before the full moon, but his fatigue was clogging his mind.
“I’m starving”. Sirius announced. “Anyone want to head to dinner”?
Everyone got up to go except Remus.
“Are you not going”? Hermione asked Remus.
“I’m not hungry. I usually have no appetite around this time so close to the full moon”. Remus responded.
“I’ll stay with you”. Hermione stated.
“No, you go to dinner, I’m used to this. I’ll be fine”. Remus responded.
“No, I’m staying with you”. Hermione answered stubbornly. “I’ll see you guys later”. Hermione said to Sirius, James, Lily, and Alice who were making there way to the portrait hole. They waved good bye and left Remus and Hermione alone in the common room.
“You really don’t have to do this”. Remus said. Hermione could see the appreciation written all over his face.
“I’m not that hungry anyway”. Hermione smiled. She sat beside Remus on the couch in front of the fire. Remus wrapped his arms around Hermione and pulled her close to him, he laid his head on her shoulder, Hermione leaned against him. They sat there until the others returned from dinner. They all sat around talking, then Alice, Lily, James, and Sirius decided to head to bed. Hermione decided to stay with Remus for a little while longer.
“You really don’t need to stay up with me, I most likely won’t go to bed tonight”. Remus said.
“I want to stay”. Hermione said play pouting. This made Remus laugh.
“You’re so stubborn”. Remus said rolling his eyes.
“And you love it”. Hermione playfully winked at him.
“I can’t argue with that”. Remus smiled. Hermione felt herself blush. She didn’t take compliments well. She was always so unsure.
Hermione stayed up all night with Remus. She didn’t want to leave him all alone like this. He seemed so helpless, they talked all through the night. They moved over to the window in the common room that looked over the lake. Remus held Hermione as they watched the sun rise. It was breath taking, this was something she’d never experienced, even in her own time.
“The others will be coming down soon”. Remus said. “We should probably get ready for class”.
Hermione moaned in protest. “I want to stay here”. She said snuggling closer into Remus’ arms.
Remus chuckled. “Yes, I do too”. He kissed the top of her head.
Hermione decided to get up. “I’ll talk to you in the dining hall”. She pecked him on the lips and ran up the dormitory stairs.
The group met in the Great Hall, to Hermione’s surprise she noticed Dumbledore sitting in his usual spot. A surge of excitement ran through her, she could go home. As quickly as the feeling came it was taken over by disappointment. This means she would have to leave this place. Hermione decided she would do what she had to do, she walked up to the professors table.
“Good morning Miss Granger”. Dumbledore stated with a twinkle in his eye. “How has your stay been”?
“Very well sir, may I ask how…” Hermione began.
“Yes, I realize you have many questions. If you’d like to meet me in my office I’ll explain everything to you. You’ll be excused from your classes this morning”. Dumbledore finished.
“Thank you, sir”. Hermione said, before turning and walking back to the Gryffindor table.
“Did you work everything out”? Remus asked.
Hermione looked up at Remus and smiled. “I hope so”. She said softy. “I’m meeting with him after breakfast”.
“Oh, ok I’ll take notes for you”. Remus answered.
“Thank you”. Hermione answered.
Breakfast ended and Hermione made her way to the entrance of Dumbledore’s office. She took a deep breath and the stairs unraveled for her to climb. ‘This should be interesting’. Hermione thought to herself.
