CHAPTER SEVEN
Chapter Seven
The next night after dinner, the pranksters sat in the Headmaster’s personal library, along with Ron and Draco, who decided to tag along. After the first couple of books they brought down, they became more cautious. One book, when opened, laughed so loud it made you cover your ears as it reverberated off the walls; another book shot up sparkles that would not come off; and one smelled like dozens of dungbombs went off in the room when you opened the front cover, where they all immediately opened a window and cast several freshening spells throughout the room.
Harry had of course took a lot of good natured ribbing on his new purple hair, but unlike Ron, it actually looked alright. The shade of purple was very close to a black color that seemed to just highlight Harry’s hair, and actually seemed to calm all those wayward strands down. “Only you Harry would lose a bet and come out winning,” Ron laughed.
“What bet?” Blaise asked.
“Harry had bet that you wouldn’t finish that transfiguration assignment the other night when we went to my rooms,” Hermione grinned.
“That was a memorable night,” Blaise sighed, “wasn’t it Mya?”
“Yes it was,” she replied then leaned over to give him a quick kiss before eagerly going to sift through another pile of books.
Hermione found what she was looking for in the piled books and came back to sit sideways on Blaise’s lap, careful not to topple over his own pile of books. She opened the book Snape had suggested carefully, flipping through the pages slowly, seeing quite a few spells and potions that could be used for some new pranks. She used a copying spell on the pages that she wanted to have, for a duplicate copy to appear on a fresh sheet of parchment. She was so immersed in the book, she didn’t really pay attention to the fact that Draco had sat on the floor beside her and Blaise’s chair, and that she was sifting her fingers through the fine blonde strands while he was going over his own set of books. She came out of her book daze when she felt Blaise’s lips graze her neck, nibbling the tender skin gently between his teeth. She leaned into the kiss and gave a light moan that seemed to catch the other’s attention.
Ginny looked up at the low moan that could be heard quite loudly in the quietness of the room, and was quite surprised to also see Hermione’s fingers in Draco’s hair. ‘Now...when did that happen,’ she thought to herself, thinking that Hermione was one very lucky girl to have the attention of two very good looking guys. “So how should we organize these?” she grinned breaking the silence of the room, looking down at the neatly piled stacks of books that they’ve already gone through.
Hermione got up after giving a quick kiss to Blaise and then kneeled down beside Ginny. “I think by year, or we can separate the potions, charms, or hexes,” she replied as she motioned for Ginny to look at a page of the book she brought with her.
Ginny read the spell and grinned up at Hermione. “Perfect,” she said quietly, then quickly copied the page and slipped it into her back pocket.
“Hey guys....look what I found,” Harry cried out excitedly.
They all went to the table where Harry sat with piles, and piles of books surrounding him, each leaning over his shoulder or standing to the side to see what he was so excited about. “What is it Harry?” Ron asked leaning over his shoulder.
“It’s how the Marauders made the map,” Harry grinned.
“What map?” Draco asked looking with more interest at the open pages.
“It’s a map of the school showing the secret passageways, and let’s you know where everyone is,” Ginny replied.
“Comes in real handy when you’re trying to get by Filch and Mrs. Norris,” Harry said.
“So that’s how you always managed to slide by trouble,” Draco smirked.
“The invisibility cloak was a real life saver too,” Ron smirked.
“Figures,” Draco said, “only Potter,” he sighed as he picked up a stack of books to start placing them back on the shelves.
Hermione came up behind Draco and wrapped her arms around his waist. “That cloak comes in handy when someone needs to sneak down to say..... the dungeons,” she whispered by his ear, then felt a shiver run though him as she licked at the hickey at the side of his neck that she marked him with the night before. “Are you coming to the party tomorrow night?” she asked.
He turned his head to her and pressed his lips to hers. “You inviting me?” he asked softly.
“Yes,” she smirked, then gave him a squeeze before letting him go, picking up some books to place them where they needed to go on the shelves.
Blaise and Harry were not surprised at the show of affection between Draco and Hermione, Ginny was over her surprise from earlier.....and Ron just looked clueless, as he did not see it. “Him too?” Ginny whispered, pulling Hermione down beside her.
“Hmm..hmm,” Hermione murmured as she nodded her head.
“How was it?” Ginny asked.
“Amazing,” Hermione grinned. “Now I just want the two of them together,” she said wistfully.
Ginny glanced to Blaise and Draco who were standing by the shelves talking while they reshelved the books. “That would be something,” she admitted.
Blaise handed Draco a couple of the charm books, “I bet you’re tired, huh?” he smirked knowingly.
“A bit,” Draco replied shrugging his shoulders.
“You okay with all this?” Blaise asked.
“Yeah, she’s everything I’ve dreamed of Blaise,” Draco admitted. “The question is...are you okay with it, because if you’re not, I’ll back off,” he added looking to Blaise.
“Drake...I am okay with this. I know she loves me, and I love her...but I also know that she has strong feelings for you too,” Blaise replied. “How do you feel about her?”
“I don’t know...” he began, “..last night was amazing, but I wouldn’t have minded if we just had kissed or snuggled on the couch,” he grinned, “pathetic, isn’t it?”
“Not really,” Blaise smiled, “I feel the same way.”
“Did you get her anything for her birthday yet?” Draco asked.
“No, I was going to go tomorrow with Harry and Ron. I’m sure they won’t mind if you come along,” Blaise said then started to laugh at the grimace that crossed his friends face.
“Great...hang out with the Weasel and Scarhead. What is the world coming to?” Draco sighed dramatically.
What should have been a three or four hour detention, extended to about six or seven hours as they joked around and took copious notes full of pranks that would keep them busy for the rest of the year.
Hermione bid everyone a good night, giving a slow, languorous kiss to Draco after the others had left, then left arm in arm with Blaise to make their way to her rooms. She had put some music on her magically enhanced stereo and lay beside him on the couch, snuggled up to his side, sighing as his fingers combed through her hair, lulling her into a contented sleep.
With the Saturday being a Hogsmeade weekend, the students eagerly made their way into the small wizarding village. Ron and Harry walked up ahead, with Blaise and Draco a few paces behind them, Draco making cracks at the two Gryffindors and their purple hair. “What are you two getting for Granger?” Draco asked as they glanced into some of the shops on the main street of Hogsmeade.
“I’m getting her a book she’s been eyeing at the book store on Elven History,” Ron said glancing back.
“How original Weasel...a book for the Hogwart’s bookworm,” Draco smirked. “What about you Potter?”
“Don’t know yet?” Harry replied shrugging his shoulders, looking into the new Quidditch shop window.
The first store they entered was the book store. Ron went up to the counter and requested the book that he had put away the week before. While Ron payed for his purchase the other three wondered the store, trying to get some ideas for Hermione.
Coming out of the book store empty handed, Blaise then dragged them into the jewelry store to get something he had seen a few weeks back, perfect for his Mya. As he talked to the wizard that owned the shop about engraving the pendent, thanking Merlin it was still there, the others looked into the glass display cases. Blaise walked the shop with Draco while the engraving was getting done. “What about that?” he asked pointing to a gold watch that was on display.
“Doesn’t she have one?” Draco asked.
“No,” Harry said coming up beside them, “Crookshanks had lost it a few months before she died.”
“Her cat is dead?” Draco asked, vaguely remembering the large orange cat she was always carrying around in her third year.
“I guess it ate some kind of muggle poison while Hermione was home a couple of summers ago,” Harry said looking down at the display case.
Draco looked to Blaise and grinned. “Is there a pet store around here?” he asked.
The shopkeeper came up to give Blaise the gift wrapped pendant. “Here you are. I am sure she will love it,” he grinned, “as for a pet store...there is a new shop that opened a few months ago that carries anything from snakes to owls, that is just a few blocks down. Can’t miss it.”
Blaise and Draco thanked the wizard then quickened their steps to the shop, now that Draco had an idea for a gift in mind. He entered first, followed by Blaise, Harry, and Ron, into a room filled with tanks and cages that had different animals and creatures in them. At the sound of the bell from the door, a dark haired young witch came up to them. “Hello, can I help you with anything?” she asked, smiling as she pet the snake that hung around her neck.
“Um...yes, I’m looking for a kitten..for a friend,” Draco said looking at the snake warily that seemed to reach out for him.
“And maybe an owl,” Harry spoke up suddenly as he reached out his hand to the snake, hissing at it in parseltongue.
“An owl?” Ron asked Harry, as he stepped back from the snake.
“She’s always using the school owls to send letters to her parents,” Harry replied as he let the snake slither up his arm. “Relax Ron, the snake isn’t poisonous,” he laughed.
“He’s right, the snake is a muggle snake that feeds mostly on insects and such. She’s quite friendly and a personal pet of mine,” she said smiling. “Now...the owls you may choose which one you like, while I show this gentleman the kittens.”
“Gentleman...who’s she kidding,” Ron muttered trying not to hold back his laughter.
“Shut it Weasel,” Draco warned, then turned his back to follow the sales witch.
“We just got this litter of metamorphfeles’s this morning,” she smiled opening the cage. “They look and act much like the muggle cats, but have a few extra abilities that they are able to do.”
Blaise and Draco reached in to pet the kittens, laughing as the furry heads either rubbed against their hands, or their fingers were playfully attacked with tiny claws. “How big do they get?” Blaise asked seeing the size of the paws that were bigger than the normal muggle kitten.
“About the size of a tiger cub when full grown,” she replied.
Draco was surprised when an unusual tabby kitten jumped into his arms. The back and head were mostly a grey and black tabby, but the stomach and forefront of it’s legs and chest had an orange tinge to the fur. The bottom of it’s paws and the tips of the tail and ears were black. What made it stand out were the bright lavender eyes that looked imploringly back at you. You couldn’t help but smile when it looked up at you. “What are the ‘extra’ abilities it can do that you mentioned earlier?” he asked as he began to pet the soft fur, hearing the soft purr come from the bundle in his arms.
“She is a unique feline and is quite rare in the wizarding world. They are unique because they can morph or change into any other kind of cat...to a small bobcat to the largest cat in the muggle world...a tiger. With it being still young, if she changes it would become the cub version of that particular cat. They are very intelligent and can understand and learn from us..and they have an extraordinary memory,” she said reaching over to rub the side of it’s face, “and that one you’re holding is a female,” she finished.
“Is she dangerous at all?” Blaise asked.
“She can be...if she was trained to. Many dark wizards have trained these animals to be very ferocious and were feared for quite a few years. Normally they have a very friendly disposition though,” she said.
“Alright then...we’ll take her,” Draco said holding up the bundle of fur and looking into the unusual eyes. “Now...how are we going to wrap you?” he asked softly.
The kitten started to squirm in his hands until Draco loosened his hold, then crawled into the open front of his jacket. “Well, I guess that answers your question,” Blaise laughed stroking the kitten under the chin.
The two of them met up with Harry and Ron at the counter. “Did you pick one out?” Ron asked not seeing the kitten.
Just then the kitten poked her head out of the jacket and squirmed out onto the counter. “She’ll love it,” Harry grinned as they watched the kitten approach the owl Harry had picked out.
The owl looked fairly close to Hedwig, Harry’s owl, except it had quite a bit of a light grey coloring mixed with the white. They all held their breath as the owl looked down at the kitten that was creeping up to it, then spread it’s wing as the kitten began to sniff the feathers. The guys sighed in relief when the owl reached down to nip the tip of the kitten’s ears and brush it away with his wing, for the kitten to take a swing at it playfully.
“How are you going to sneak the owl cage into the school?” Blaise asked.
“You can use that invisibility cloak of yours,” Draco suggested as he was petting the owls head while the kitten was still trying to play with the wings.
Harry and Draco paid for the animals and stepped out into the afternoon sun. “Accio invisibility cloak,” Harry said raising his wand towards the school. It took a few minutes for him to see his cloak flying through the air. He then whistled for Hedwig, his own owl, to almost immediately hear her screech as she came closer to the four of them. They all watched the snowy white owl fly gracefully overhead, her magnificent wings spread out as she slowly descended towards them to finally land onto Harry’s outstretched arm.
“Hello Hedwig,” Harry smiled petting the proud chest of the owl. “I need you to take this cage and owl to my room...without Hermione seeing it.”
“Do you really think it understands you Potter?” Draco sneered.
“Hedwig is a very smart owl...aren’t your girl?” Harry said affectionately to his first pet. Hedwig nipped Harry’s fingers showing she understood then waited for Harry to cover the cage with the invisibility cloak. She then flew on top of the cage, looking like she was sitting on nothing but air, then grasped the handle at the top of the cage with her strong talons, then slowly ascended into the air.
They watched it until she became a tiny speck in the air then decided to go to Honeyduke’s to pick up some sweets. Draco had to constantly nudge the kitten’s head back into his jacket with her smelling all the sweets in the shop. “I think I’ll head back,” Draco sighed, “this girl is trying to escape,” he laughed.
“I’ll go with you Drake,” Blaise said.
They said their goodbyes, then left the shop to go back to Hogwart’s. They had a bit of a close call when Hermione was heading their way to go to the small village. “Hey Mya,” Blaise grinned wrapping his arms around her waist to swing her around. “Happy birthday,” he added kissing her cheek.
“Thanks Blaise,” she laughed, then saw Draco’s retreating back almost to the gates of the school. “What’s with Draco?”
“He just remembered that he was supposed to meet Snape for something and needed to hurry back,” Blaise replied, the lie smoothly coming from his lips.
“Okay...he’s not in any kind of trouble is he?” she asked worriedly.
“No, just something about tutoring some of the younger years in our house I think,” he said, “where were you heading?”
“To get some butterbeers for tonight,” she smiled, “and now that you found me...you can help me.”
“And what would I get for helping a lady in need today?” he asked hugging her close.
“I guess you’ll have to wait and find out,” she said suggestively as she leaned in to press her lips to his neck.
“Okay...let’s go,” he said a little breathlessly as he stepped away from her. He grasped her hand in his and practically dragged her over to the Three Broomsticks to pick up the butterbeer.
After the two of them got back to Hermione’s rooms, their arms laden down with the shrunken bottles, Hermione pulled Blaise into her room. She sat on the edge of her bed and looked up at Blaise who was walking towards her. “Strip for me Blaise,” she instructed, a huge grin on her face.
“Excuse me?” he laughed.
“It’s my birthday, and I want to see a stripper,” she grinned, leaning back on her hands.
“No music,” he smirked smugly.
She walked over to her stereo that she spelled to work inside the walls of the school and started the CD. “Now you do,” she said cheekily as she sat back down on the bed.
Blaise kicked off his runners, then carefully placed his jacket on the chair making sure her gift wasn’t visible. He started to slowly sway his hips to the music while his hands glided over the front of his shirt, then down to palm the growing bulge in his jeans. He gave a small moan and pressed harder after seeing her eyes greedily watching where his hands traveled. “You know...I’d have more incentive to do this if I saw more of you,” he said, smiling sexily.
She grinned wickedly at him and stood up and quickly pulled the t-shirt over her head and slipped her jeans down her legs. “Don’t stop now Blaise,” she grinned as her hands went to her back to unclasp her bra.
As Blaise watched the last remaining piece of clothing slip down her legs, leaving her completely bare to his eyes, he felt his jeans tightening across his hips as his erection grew. He licked his lips as she sat on the bed again, leaning back on her hands, her breasts jutting out at him, then watched as her shapely legs crossed at her knees. He continued to sway to the music, his hips gyrating towards her while he undid each button in turn of his shirt. He slowly stepped closer to her as his hands slipped into the front of his open shirt to come up to his shoulders. He slid the one side down from his shoulder, letting it skim down to his biceps, then shrugged the other side down his arm until it hung to the elbows, his hands gliding over his stomach and chest, encouraged from the darkening gaze of her eyes.
Hermione sat still until he came closer, her eyes greedily taking in the muscled chest and abs. She reached out to touch, then sighed in disappointment when he stepped out of her reach, shaking his head at her.
He turned to his side as he finished taking off his shirt, then grinned devilishly as he threw it at her to land on her lap. She brought the shirt up to inhale his male scent she always loved, then slipped the shirt on, leaving the front undone, but open enough for him to just make out the soft swell of her breasts.
“Are you going to put the pants on too?” he grinned as he came closer to her, his hands going to the snap of his jeans.
“No,” she replied, then placed her hands on his legs, gliding them up his thighs to his moving hips. She leaned forward to press her lips to his stomach, her hand coming forward to press against his erection. “Do you know how much I want to taste you right now?” she huskily asked.
“Merlin...Mya,” he groaned as he slid his fingers into her hair when she dipped her tongue into his navel.
She came off the bed and kneeled in front of him as she nibbled the skin at his waist, her fingers helping him undo his pants. She pulled them down his legs, along with his boxers, until they pooled down at his feet. While he was kicking them away, he moaned as his cock was engulfed in her mouth, the muscles clenching in his thighs and stomach as he thrust into her mouth. Her hands went around the back of his legs, then moved up to his ass, pulling him closer as she deep throated his length.
“Gods....so...close,” he panted as he watched her lips move up and down his shaft. He reached down to grip the base of his cock, then pulled his hips back reluctantly for him to slip out of her mouth. He kneeled down in front of her, wrapping his one arm around her waist, pulling her closer. He leaned in to latch his lips to hers in a hungry kiss, moaning into her mouth as her hands went between their bodies to stroke his erection.
It was then Hermione’s turn to moan when his hand went between her legs, sliding his fingers easily along her wet folds. She spread her legs more as he slipped two fingers deep inside her, stroking her inner walls with each thrust. She groaned when he slipped his fingers out of her, then gasped in surprise when his hands went around her bottom, lifting her up against him.
“I need you...now,” he panted as he leaned back on his heels, then lifted her hips until the tip of his erection was at her entrance. He thrust up into her heat until he was completely sheathed inside of her, his hands gripping onto her hips as he pulled her down, thrusting up hard into her.
Hermione’s body felt like liquid fire as she moved against him. She gripped his forearms, holding on tight as she leaned back, grinding, rocking backwards and forwards on his cock. She wrapped her legs around his hips as his thrusts quickened. “Nnnnhh....Blaise,” she moaned as the hot feeling built up in her lower abdomen, making it’s way lower and lower until it burst into a pulsing orgasm, leaving her body quivering and shuddering in the aftermath.
“Mya,” he cried out as he gripped her hips hard enough to leave his mark as he erupted inside of her. He pulled her upper body up to wrap his arms around her slick back, their chests heaving from their ragged breathing. He began to trail light kisses up her neck. “Happy birthday Mya,” he softly said by her ear.
“So far,” she replied, giving a shaky laugh as she hugged him close.
The two of them shared a shower together, each of them washing each other’s flushed skin, not missing an inch of familiar skin. By the time they finished, it was time for dinner. Hermione was just lacing up her runners when Blaise pulled her down on his lap. “I have something for you Mya,” he said, then handed her the brightly colored present.
“You didn’t have to Blaise,” she grinned looking down at the green papered present. “Your strip show was enough,” she added smartly, then leaned down to kiss his cheek.
“Prat,” he laughed, “just open it.”
She carefully unwrapped the ribbon, then the paper, to see a burgundy velvet box. She opened it slowly to see a dragon pendent in gold and silver. “It’s beautiful Blaise,” she said taking it gingerly from the velvet.
“I saw this a few weeks ago and thought it looked remarkably like the tattoo on your back,” he said reaching to her hands to flip the pendent over.
“Love always, Blaise,” she read. “Thank you,” she said wrapping her arms around his neck. “Love you too,” she whispered by his ear.
He kissed the side of her neck and pulled back. “We should probably go down to the Great Hall,” he sighed.
“Can you help me put this on?” she asked holding the chain up to him. He took the chain and clasped the back while she held up hair, then placed a tender kiss to the back of her neck.
