Almost Letting it Slip
Disclaimer: The characters in this story are all JK Rowling\'s. I don\'t own a single one. I\'m borrowing them for a little debauchery, then, I\'ll give them back.
A/N: To my lovely reviewers:
cdkobasiuk: Thank you for your review!! Harry has become rather jaded since defeating Voldy, at least I think he would, so someone has to bring him out of it!! *eyes twinkle*
Papaya: Thanks so very much for your review!! I promise to update a chapter a day like I said in the beginning. You have at least another two weeks worth of entertainment!!
Anon: I appreciate your review! I\'ve noticed that my chapters are a bit shorter than most people\'s, but I try to keep my chapters anywhere between 800 and 1,000 words. That just seems to be the natural progression of them for some reason...that and I really like writing evil cliffies on occasion...*grins evilly* Also many thanks for your comment on my writing. I\'ve been close to fifteen years finding my voice, so to speak, and all of the postive reviews to my stories have given me the faith back in my writing.
Now...ON TO THE STORY!!!
Severus laughed at the admission of the young man. They both quickly finished their lunch and Harry went back to the garden to read some more in the book Severus gave him. After about two hours, he found the older man sitting on another balcony facing south. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts. Damn Dumbledore and his brilliant plans! Having to watch Harry come around is going to kill me. As an afterthought, Severus quipped, but, if he comes around sooner, then we’ll have the whole summer to get to know each other.
The younger man watched the emotions dance across the man’s face, anger, hope, and eventually lust. He wondered just what Snape could be thinking about. “Care to share your thoughts?”
Severus jumped as though someone had poked him with a sharp object. Holding his chest he answered, “Merlin, boy, don’t sneak up on me like that! What do you want?”
Harry giggled at his irritation. “I was wondering if there’s a place around there, that’s fairly open, but the ground is good and solid.”
Snape turned and looked at him. “Why ever for?”
Harry suddenly found something at his feet that seemed very interesting. “Well, I’ve been reading for a few hours, and I want a little space to move around, you know, without breaking anything.”
Snape motioned him forward, and pointed down. There was a large slab of bricks below them. It was fairly even, and appeared to be about 5 meters by 5 meters square. Harry smiled. “That’s perfect.”
The younger man appeared down on the grounds of the estate not ten minutes later. He wore a pair of trainers, and some old sleep pants that he cut off just below the knee. The older man watched with interest as he toed off his shoes and stood there barefoot on the bricks.
Harry gracefully slipped down on to the platform and began to stretch. As he did, he let his mind wander where it would. He knew that what he was doing was one of the best ways to center himself, and work out anything he might be feeling. He was beginning to worry about what he was feeling for Severus. Harry knew he was gay, but became concerned that his old teacher was sending him signals. . Right, with a body like that, and he wants me. Harry, you’re deluding yourself.
With that thought, he rose and began a series of punches and kicks. Unbeknownst to the wizarding world, when Harry slipped out of sight, he trained his body and mind in martial arts. Kung Fu had saved him from madness.
Severus watched the lithe body below him as the young man punched and kicked and jumped impossibly high in the air. In no time, the young man was covered in a sheen of sweat that Snape longed to lick off. Where the hell did that thought come from? Lick? Oh, Merlin. God damn that meddlesome old fool. He’s going to completely turn my world upside down.
He watched Harry intently and saw the exact moment when Harry’s workout turned sour. The young man jumped, again, impossibly high and turned a back flip. When he landed, he screamed and wound up in a heap, holding his ankle. “Fuck!” Severus said before he aparated down to the young man.
“Harry? Are you ok?” The older man asked as he approached cautiously.
Harry rolled on to his back, still clutching his ankle. “No,” he whimpered, “I landed in an uneven spot and I broke it.”
Severus looked toward Harry’s hands and saw blood. “Shit, Harry, you broke it good. The bone’s gone straight through the skin! I’m going to levitate you into the house and wrap your ankle to stop the bleeding, and then we’ll repair your bone.”
Harry grimaced, but shook his head. Snape quickly levitated the young man, and took him through the castle. Severus took Harry to his room, and laid him on the bed. “Don’t move, Potter, this is going to hurt like hell.”
Snape pointed his wand at Harry’s ankle and muttered something. The wound didn’t close up, but it set the bones where they should be. Quickly he summoned Tizzie and she brought him some bandages, and potions to repair the torn skin. She also brought Harry a mild pain killing potion.
The potion Harry was given did not put him to sleep, as it should have. Once Severus had him mending, he looked at the young man and noticed that his pupils were dilated. “Harry, are you ok?”
Harry looked at the older man and gave him a stupid smile. “You know what Sevvie? You saved my life.”
When the young man spoke, Severus realized that Tizzie brought the wrong potion. This pain potion did not put the drinker under; rather it just made them extremely incoherent. “Potter, I don’t think you’d have died from a broken ankle,” he answered dryly rolling his eyes.
“No, I wouldn’t, but this, “Harry raised his hands gesturing toward the room, “this saved my life. I’ve never been happier. And, because of you, I’m going to write my memoirs and everyone in the wizarding world is going to read them, and we are going to be rich! Oh, and I’m going to break the curse of the Defense Against the Dark Arts job.”
Snape raised an eyebrow, “’We’ are going to be rich? No, Harry, you are going to be rich.”
Harry’s eyes were glazed over, and Snape knew that he’d not heard a word that was said. He closed the younger mans eyes, and retrieved his book. He sat and read until Harry woke some hours later.
A/N: *fangirl squeeeeeeee* *ahem* Ok, so since I\'ve been such a bad, bad author and not updated, I figured I\'ve give you guys two chapters tonight!!
