Forbidden

Chapter 7.

"Shut up, I don't want to hear it." She stalked back to the compartment bearing Hermione and Harry.

"Guess where I found her?" Ron spluttered "In a dark compartment with Draco Malfoy!" Harry and Hermione looked outraged and began to speak at once.

"SHUT UP!" Ginny bellowed. "I will explain."

She sat opposite Harry.

"I told you, I was going to stretch my legs, as I was about to enter the compartment for some quiet alone time, I bumped into Draco, who was going to do the same thing. We decided to just use it and let each other be. He then shut the drapes and asked me a question. We were talking when Ron interrupted us very rudely. I am not impressed."

They sat and looked at her, mouths opening and closing with astonishment.

"What did he ask you?" Harry looked at her quizzically.

"I promised to keep it a secret, but I can tell you it's got nothing to do with you, nothing to do with anything that would remotely interest you. You know I am woman of my word."

Harry seemed happier at this; he knew Ginny would never lie to him although it grieved him to hear she was friendly with Malfoy.

"Ginny, do you remember what his father did to you? In your first year?" Hermione looked grave, reminding Ginny of McGonagall.

"Yeah - his father, you said it yourself. It had nothing to do with Draco, and I don't want to discuss it any longer." She pulled her robes out of her trunk and said

"We'll be arriving soon."

The compartment was silent until they disembarked at Hogsmeade station. Hagrid bellowed

"Hey there Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny! I'll see you at the castle; I gotta do the lake thing, again!"

They got into the horseless carriages and set off for the castle, Ginny caught sight of Draco with Crabbe and Goyle, Pansy Parkinson simpering at him. He looked thoroughly annoyed.
