Chapter 7

Harry sat alone in the library. He had put Serena in her cot for a nap, Draco had asked if he could take care of her when she woke. So Harry had some time to himself, and he needed it. He couldn’t understand the feelings he was having every time that Draco’s hand brushed his, or the knot of heat that had curled in his stomach when the blonde had ran his fingers through his hair.

He knew that wizards looked at things differently than muggles, and that if he wanted to have a relationship with another wizard it would be accepted. Hell when he thought about it, it was as normal to see two wizards together as it was to see a wizard and witch. He just didn’t understand his reaction to Draco. They had been enemies since they had first traveled to Hogwarts, how did you go from hating someone to desiring their touch?

The door to the library opened quietly and Sirius stepped inside and watched his godson. Harry had seemed troubled when he had seen him earlier, and he wanted to do anything he could to help.

He groaned and dropped his head on the arm of the chair. “What is going on with me?” he asked himself.

Sirius smiled to himself. “I don’t know, but I’m willing to listen and help if I can,” he said.

Harry jumped up and turned toward his godfather. “Don’t sneak up on me,” he said.

Sirius sat down on the sofa and patted the seat next to him. “What’s the problem, Harry?”

Harry flopped down next to him and sighed. “I’ve had reactions to someone that I’m not sure about,” he stated.

“There is a thin line between love and hate, Harry. I’ve seen the way you jump when Draco touches you. He is an attractive young man,” Sirius continued. “Severus trusts him, and so do Remus and I. He’s been through a lot in the past year.”

Harry stared at the older man, “I’m not sure what I feel. I just know that when he touches me, it feels like electricity. He ran his fingers through my hair earlier, and it felt like my stomach was on fire.”

Sirius smiled and patted him on the shoulder. “Remus had that effect on me, and still does.”

“What if he doesn’t feel the same way?” Harry asked.

“You’ll never know unless you ask.”

Molly stepped into the kitchen of the burrow to find six of her seven children sitting at the table. “What’s going on?” she asked.

“Severus flooed you, he wants us to come to the manor for a few days,” Bill told her. “You to stay with Harry, Draco and Serena. Charlie, Fred, George and I to assist him with some secret project.”

“We’ve already packed for a week,” Fred told her. “I knew that you couldn’t turn down the chance to stay with Harry and that little girl that he’s got.” He smiled at his mother.

“Severus rarely asks for help, so it must be something important,” Charlie said.

George pulled out a chair for his mother. “What happened at the ministry?” he asked.

Molly sat down. “Albus no longer has any say in Harry’s life. I went in and used every contact that your father had at the ministry.” She conjured tea for everyone. “It seems that as long as Harry was living with his muggle relatives, Albus had control of the Potter fortune. He used it to fund the war against Voldemort. If Harry was to remain there until his seventeenth birthday, Albus would retain control of it. Harry would never have gotten his inheritance if he had stayed with the Dursleys.”

There was a burst of shouting when Molly had finished. “I can’t believe that he would do something so underhanded,” Bill said rubbing his face.

“How much did he spend? I mean, does Harry still have money left from his family?” Ron asked.

Molly smiled, “The goblins at Gringotts are a lot sneakier than they look. When Albus started using the funds in there for the war, the goblins removed quite a bit of it so that it would be there for Harry,” she said. “It seems that they were more loyal to Harry than to Dumbledore. It was a clause in his parent’s will, that they were to keep an eye on the money in the account until Harry took possession. If the person that was controlling it started using if for something other than Harry’s care, or for their own gains they were to take most of it out of the account and put it in trust. With Griphook as the executor.”

Molly stood up and walked toward the fireplace. “Well, let’s floo to Severus’. I’m sure that he will want to know that he is one of Harry’s guardians until he is of age.”

“Who else is his guardian?” Ginny asked.

“Severus, Remus, Sirius and I,” she answered. She threw a pinch of the powder into the flames and motioned for Ron to step in.

“Snape Manor,” he said, then disappeared.
