Christmas under Duress

\"Mate, wake up! Get up, Harry!\" Ron said shaking Harry urgently.

\"Go away, Ron...before I sic JT on you!\" came Harry\'s sleepy threat.

\"Remind me to be afraid in the future. Now get your lazy arse up!\"

Harry\'s response was to roll over and present Ron with his back along with his middle finger.

\"Fine, I guess you don\'t want to see \'Mione and I off at the train station, at noon...?\"

\"Wha! What\'s going on today!\" Harry asked bolting up on his bed. \"Where are you two going?\"

\"I thought that might get you,\" Ron said with a small smile. \"Don\'t you remember? Today is the beginning of our Christmas break. Yesterday was the last day of class, Harry. We\'re going home to the Burrow, \'Mione and I.\"

\"Oh...oh yeah...I remember, now,\" Harry said casting his eyes downward.

Ron joined his dejected friend on his bed. \"Hey...hey, none of that now. You know that there are still Deatheaters out there...you know that they will use any means to get you.\"

\"I know...but it doesn\'t stop the lonliness.\"

\"What are you talking about? JT is here and so is Snape!\"

Harry\'s head shot upwards. \"You mean that wasn\'t a dream? That I really created James and that Snape is semi nice and that he could really kiss good? You mean all of that was real?\"

\"Well, I don\'t know about the kissing part, but every thing happened the way you said it. You mentioned JT when you woke up.\"

\"I thought he was a figment of my overactive imagination!\"

\"Well, he kind of was. You created him by the power of your mind and your potion. But he\'s very much real,\" Ron said.

Just then JT and Hermione flew into the room.

Gasping and panting with laughter, Hermione threw her arms around James. \"Alright, alright, you won! But I demand a rematch before I leave today!\"

Laughing, James jumped onto the bed with his father in it. \"Daddy, Aunt \'Mione and I raced all the way from the kitchens to the tower and I won! We had so much fun this morning! We had a food fight in the kitchen with the elves, the teachers, and even Albus and Snape joined in. And we roasted marshmellows in the fireplace!\"

During that whole dialogue, Harry\'s look of wonder changed into one of amusement. \"Snape joined in the food fight? That must have been something to see!\"

His overgrown son wrapped his arms around his father waist and they layed down.

\"I see Uncle Ron and Aunt \'Mione are already spoiling you,\" Harry commented.

\"Oh, don\'t hate. I\'ve never ahd a sibling before nor do I have aunts and uncles. Well, I have an uncle but he\'s an arse, plus he\'s in jail, so he doesn\'t count.\"

Harry gasped, mockingly. \"Perfect \'Mione have a renegade uncle. How positively shocking,\" he gasped holding onto his chest.

\"Oh hush, you! But anyway, I have to finish packing!\" she said leaving the room.

At the train station, Harry and James stood holding hands as they watched Ron and Hermone board the train.

Ron stuck his bright, red head out the window. \"You\'re going to be ok, mates?\"

A bushy brunette joined his. \"We\'ll send your presents! Don\'t forget that we love you two. Oh yeah, and try to leave Hogwarts intact,\" came Hermione\'s motherly advise. \"We don\'t want to come back to a smoking Hogwarts.\"

\"Oh, ha ha!\" Harry said sarcastically.

\"Well, you never know...what with you, James, and Professor Snape on the loose, we might as well kiss Hogwarts goodbye!\" she said teasingly. \"JT, take care of your father. Lord knows, he needs someone to.\"

\"Yes, Aunt \'Mione! I\'ll miss you!\" JT said waving his hand.

\"What about me?\" Ron asked pouting a little

James grinned. \"I \'might\' miss you, Uncle Ron.\"

\"Hmph!\" he said tossing his head arrogently.

JT broke out in peals of laghter.

\"ALL ABOARD!!\"

\"Well I guess that\'s it. I\'ll miss you two,\" Harry said blinking back his tears. \"James will too.\"

\"Don\'t worry, Harry! You will have a good Christmas break. I promise!\" Hermione said as the train began to move. \"We love you!\"

The train began to move faster. \"I love to, too! Take care of Ron and try to stay out of trouble!\" Harry yelled, before the bushy head was out of sight.

Harry turned to look at his son who was chewing on his nails. \"Don\'t do that!\" he said swatting at his hand playfully. \"Ready to go home?\"

James nodded and together they entered the Hogwarts carriage.


I think that that was the most normal chapter I have ever written. It was too normal, if you ask me. Please Review. I promise that the next I update it will be better.
