Last Chapter:
Severus gave a look of disgust and in a flurry of black robes he was gone. Snape headed back down to his dark, foreboding dungeons to get changed into his muggle clothes. Once changed, he headed out to Hogsmeade where he would apprate from. In the blink of an eye; he was gone.

When Severus appeared, he was standing in a park down the street from Potter’s home, Privet Drive in Little Whinging, Surrey. While he walked, Severus sneering at the thought of being anywhere near Harry Potter’s residence. He set off at a brisk walk so he could get this finished and done with, then get back to his book and a nice glass of brandy. He walked up to Number 4 Privet Drive and knocked on the door with an air of impatience.

“Got it dad,” he heard a yell from inside the house. The door was unlocked and opened and there was a very hefty boy standing in front of him looking at him then he turned and yelled back into the house. “Dad, there is some guy at the door,” Severus turned his nose up at the boy, sneering as the boy retreated back into the house.

“Oh, hello sir, ah yes. If you are selling something; we don’t want it so you can just leave now.”

“No, I am certainly not selling any of those foolish things that the muggles sell from door-to-door,” he spat. “I am here to check up on Mr. Harry Potter,” he snidely said the name with disdain. “I am his Professor at Hogwarts for School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Severus Snape, at your services,” Severus mocked as he crossed his arms over his chest, glaring coolly straight into the eyes of the obtuse man that was called Vernon Dursley. Or so he assumed the man was.

“I—I don’t know what you are talking about… Petunia!” A horse faced woman walked into the room from some other parts of the house. She looked like she was fuming about something.

“There are none of them… freaks here. The last one was my sister but she is dead. The good that did her too,” she muttered darkly. “I don’t know who this Harry is or what not but he is not here. Please, do leave,” she said, glaring right back at Severus who had also stared coolly at her. Then the words hit him, Severus was taken aback and stunned, but of course, he kept his mask up. Though, his mind was in the overdrive, he was called a freak and then was told that they had never heard of the boy. “Well?” she asked impatiently, waiting for him to leave.

Something was up and Severus knew it, he drew up his wand, ignoring the horse-faced lady’s petrified look. He cast his magic to see if he could detect anything out of ordinary. Yes, there were slight traces of a memory charm on all of them three in the house. He tried to remove the charm himself, but found it to be excessively strong. The door was then slammed in his face rudely after he finished the spell. Angrily at how he was treated, he walked quickly to Mrs. Figgs house two streets away. Severus would deal with the muggles later for their treatment of one Severus Snape. He practically ran up the walkway to the door and commenced banging on the door.

“Yes, yes, yes!” said an irritated Mrs. Figg wearing a pink bathrobe and carpet slippers. She opened the door with slight aggravated look in her eyes then brightened when she saw who it was on the doorstep. “Oh Severus, what is it?”

“This is imperative, I need to get a hold of Albus and of course, it would take longer to run up to his office.”

“Oh yes, please come in.” she stood back and he ran into the house straight to the Floo fireplace.

“Albus Dumbledore,” spoke Severus, dropping the powder and the Headmaster’s head appeared in the fire.

“Yes, what is it, Severus?” He watched at Severus, who is now pacing back and fourth slightly, in front of the fire.

“He’s gone,” said Severus simply.

“What do you mean he’s gone? The wards would have gone off if they were attacked. Or anyone wishes to cause harm to them, especially Mr. Potter.”

“That is just it, Albus. I think the idiot boy ran away. There was a powerful memory charm on them. I could not take the charm off, I tried but that would have done more damage then good. Albus, this was a very potent memory charm if I could not even broach the memory charm. The only thing that the Dursleys” he said with derision, “seemed to have forgotten is the teenaged boy,” he sneered slightly, “even lived there for all these years. It was as if it was their first time that they had even heard the name… Harry,” he spat again. Albus looked quite distressed and his face slightly more ancient, his face drawn up in thought. “This had to be after I got his letter,” Severus said out loud.

“What was that, Severus?” Albus asked, who, by then had walked through the fire and was now standing by his side.

“Potter wrote me a letter about a week earlier. He said that he was… sorry for his father’s and Black’s behavior, for looking in to my pensive and asked me if I would teach him Occlumency yet again. I wrote him back and told him I would see him the first Monday of the term after dinner, starting at eight. Now, as for Potter’s presence, when I came to his house, I could not sense his presence anywhere near or around the blasted place. It is like Potter had just disappeared off the face of the Earth. He has somehow… found a way of blocking us from finding him. We could look for him for years and never find him.” For once in his life Severus actually, slightly cared and Heaven forbid, worried a bit for Harry Potter’s safety but of course, he would not tell anyone that in a million years. No siree.

“Then one of the things we can do is that we will wait until the term starts. I want someone to be on the train and keep a lookout for him. Severus, do you think you could do that?” Severus sighed and nodded. “Good, now I need to go tell Molly and Arthur about this news. Molly will be anxious by now, hmm Severus, if you had just ran away, where would the first place you go?”

“Ah, of course, the Gringott’s bank, after all, the Potter’s were very,” he took a breath to calm his nerves down, “rich and the boy is of age now, so I would think that is the logical place to check to see if Potter is there.”

“Do you think you could check on that for me please?” It was not a question; Severus knew it was an order. They just might be able to find him. Severus somehow knew it would be useless and futile, but nodded in answer. Dumbledore smiled back at them as he walked through the Floo. Severus went after him, but to a different destination, The Leaky Cauldron.

Headmaster Dumbledore walked out of his Floo, and shook the soot off himself and out of his very long white beard. Then he called for Molly and Arthur through firecall.

“Albus, is Harry all right? Do we need to go get him? He’s not hurt is he?” Molly franticly walked out of the Floo, followed by Arthur right behind her and just stood there.

“No, please sit Molly, Arthur.” They sat in the chairs in front of the desk. Albus summoned some of his calming tea before beginning. “Tea?” The pair nodded and they each took a drink and visibly relaxed. “I am afraid, it seems that Harry has run away.” Molly’s eyes widened in horror and began panicking.

“Can’t you find him? It should be simple to place a tracking spell on him or something. Where were the Order guards? He’s just a boy, he can’t take care of himself out there,” Molly cried.

“It would seem that Harry has thought about that as well. I have sent Severus out to ask around Diagon Alley if they have seen him. As for the guards, all of them were off duty last week, I’m afraid…”

“How ludicrous, is that even wise, with You-Know-Who back,” said Molly, fearing for the boy that was good as her own son. “And Severus too! Do you think that is… clever to send him looking for Harry?”

“Well, I sent Severus to Gringott’s and I can assure you, he won’t be caught. So that way we see if the patrons of Diagon Alley could tell us anything about Harry’s whereabouts.”

“But Albus, you know the Goblins have a strict way about how they run that bank,” Arthur finally spoke.

“Yes I know, but I just need to make sure that he is alive and well.”

“What did those muggles say when they found him missing?”

“That is the puzzling part, they don’t know he is missing, nor do they have any knowledge of him anymore.”

“What do you mean they have to know…” began Molly, Dumbledore raised his hand for her silence.

“No Molly, Harry has put a memory charm on them,” Molly gasped. “They don’t know who Harry Potter is nor do they know that he had lived with him for the past fifteen years.” Again Molly’s eyes had moistened at this.

“They were horrible to him Albus; they locked him in his room with bars on the windows.” Molly clung to her husband and cried. “He could have just come to us. He’s like one of our own. We would have taken him in… He just needed to tell us…”

“He is coming back to school, I can assure you, we do know that,” Molly looked at him questionably with suspicious eyes. “It would seem that Harry wrote to Severus to ask him if he would teach him Occlumency again. Severus has replied the letter with a yes for an answer and he will be taking the lessons at school once the term commences,” Molly looked as if she wasn’t sure whether or not to be relieved. “Other than that, he just seems to can’t be found right now. Unfortunately, we will just have to wait for school to start.”

They nodded and they went home to deliver the news to their children, especially Ron. Dumbledore slumped behind his desk, thinking and drinking his tea. ‘How much have I failed you, my dear boy? That you thought you had to run away,’ he thought to himself with a sigh and popped a lemon drop into his mouth, finding it not as enjoyable as the candy normally was. Then he went back to the paperwork on his desk that he had to get done before the new school year even started.

By now Harry had planned out how his days would go for the rest of the summer. He’d wake up at five, go for a run until Six-thirty in the morning, and then eat a fast breakfast. Then train for about two more hours in his trunk. Than study until lunch, have a quick lunch. After that, he would practice the spells that he found in the books that Harry was studying. Once that he was finished studying, he would make some potions. Eat dinner, then more training, though, this time with the weapons and then finally some sleep.

He currently was in potions lab, making the more basic healing draughts. By the end of the day he had six different potions in his stock. The Deflating Draught for swelling, Wound-Cleaning Potion, Pepper up Potion, a Burn-Healing Paste, an all-around Healing Potion, and a Muscle Relaxant Paste. Tomorrow he would be making Skele-Gro, Sleeping Draft, the Hair Growth Potion, and Nutrient Potion so he can get his health where it should be right now. After dinner and a bit of training, he went to go up to his room and got into his bed. He set a spell to wake him up at five and went to fell asleep, his schedule repeating on daily basis.

Severus was tired from all the running he had done that day and right now, he just wanted to head to his rooms and sleep but he knew he had to report to the headmaster about his findings.

“Acid Pops,” Severus said with scorn and the gargoyle jumped to the side and he stepped onto the moving spiral-stairs. Severus raised his hand to knock on the door, but the Headmaster beat him to it.

“Come in, Severus,” Severus took a hold of the doorknob and turned, he entered into the office.

‘I really have to figure out how he does that,’ thought Snape but kept his mask up except for some of his impatience then he relaxed slightly. “Hello Albus,” Severus said in a tired voice, taking his seat and rubbing the bridge of his nose with his fingertips.

“You are back quite late, my boy. Did you find any evidence of his whereabouts?” Albus asked as he leaned forward, his fingers steepling together.

“Well first, I went to the bank…” started Snape, telling Albus what he found.

**Flash Back**

“Can we help you, Sir?” One of the Goblins asked as Severus approached one.

“Yes, in fact you can. I am here regarding a student of mine from Hogwarts. He has gone missing; the first place we thought was to look to see if he came by here.”

“Who, may I ask, are you looking for?”

“Mr. Harry James Potter,” replied Severus, he wasn’t about to be cowed by the Goblins.

“Ah yes, I will be right back,” he nodded to Severus and turned around. He walked off and came back several moments later, this time with another Goblin fallowing him.

“I hear you are looking for Mr. Potter. My name is Klaus; I was with Mr. Potter most of yesterday and a little today. We cannot tell you very much else, as we have our own Privacy Polices. All I can really tell you is that he was here and around in Diagon Alley for the last two days. Nevertheless, I am sure he is done with all of his necessary purchases now and should gone by now. Now, excuse me, Mr. Snape, I have other business to attend to,” with that Klaus turned and walked away. The other Goblin went back to sorting gems that were on his desk.

Severus walked out of the bank, slightly hopeful. He tried to think of where the blasted boy would go next, frustrated, he gave up and decided he would go check all of the places he suspected. By the end of his searches, he had found out that at one point, the boy had bought a large amount of books in all sorts of subjects, even some in the Dark Arts, weapons for the weapon shop, new robes and dress robes, and everything for a potions lab. Although, Apothecary could not tell him the Potter’s address or find the paper with the said address on it. He did find one place that was somewhat helpful and that was at ‘Brasses’ Magical Trunks’ where he found out from Mr. Brasse that he had ordered a compartment trunk. Though, Snape could not fathom what the compartments were for. After collecting all of the clues, he headed back for Hogwarts.

**End Flash Back**

“Subsequently, that’s my report, Albus. The only thing I can assume is that no one could give me his address; it could be the reason that the boy has cast the Fidelius Charm on himself and is his own secret keeper. Which, you know what means. Now Albus, if you have no more need for me, I am going to need my overdue-sleep.”

“No, that’s all. Thank you, Severus, my dear boy,” Severus left and went down to his rooms. After he changed into his cloths more suited for sleeping and fell asleep immediately when he hit the sheets.

A/N: Sorry so short. There was not really a lot happening in this chapter. It was just giving more information.
