Chapter 7
Severus felt his heart jump at the news. ‘Hermione she’s alive’ he thought. Yet this girl in front of him was not Hermione that he knew she looked different but also carried herself differently. Maybe it was the lack of schoolbooks but Severus noticed that she carried herself with confidence and pride; she lowered her eyes to no one, not even the Dark Lord. Her eyes, Severus found himself missing those e The They had haunted him in his sleep the big brown pools that he knew would suck him in if he even glanced their way. The person that those eyes belonged to were now walking among them he moved off to the side, slightly angered by his not knowing where she was.
“Severus, please come up here.” Voldermort said. Severus looked up in disbelief; he moved quickly and kneeled in front of his Lord.
“Yes my Lord?” Severus asked still on his knees.
”Rise,” Severus kissed the hem of Voldermort’s robes and stood beside and slightly behind him. “Severus, what are your thoughts on my princess?”
“My Lord, I just wonder if she can be truly trusted she was once a member of the golden trio.”
“Yes, I was worried but she has shown her loyalty many times over. She has fought in my name and been victorious over many tough opponents.” Voldermort paused and waited a moment. “That girl that made such a spectacle and fought with Draco about a year ago, that was her, under the glamour. I never intended for her to fight only to attend the meeting.” When he was done he looked at Snape and chuckled softly. “She reminds me of you when you first came to me.”
“Does she? I remember that I was so eager to learn and so wanted to please you.”
“Severus, you please me everyday and you know that you are one of my most loyal Deateaters, that’s why I want you to help me. For my daughters birthday I want to give her a gift. A wondrous gift, one that will cause her heart to swell with love for me. I want to give her the friends that abandoned her. Ron and Ginny Weasley.”
“My Lord, you know how difficult it would be to get those people, one is still in school while the other is an auror.”
“Severus, you do not want to disappoint me. I know that you are not aware of it, but I have gotten a special member to infiltrate the light side.” Voldermort said finally turning to face Severus.
“What would you like me to do with him?” Hermione asked.
“My daughter, would you please make an example of him.” The Dark Lord answered and gave her a nod of the head then turned his attention back to Severus who had crept into the shadows at the sound of her voice.
“Yes father,” Hermione said then turned her attention back to her prey.
“Severus, I have sent someone it to the lignd Ind I want you to try to help them. I know that you don’t have a lot to do with Dumbledore but try to get this person in with the good people. When you see them you will know its them. Excuse me but my daughter jkillkilled someone and I have to make sure she has some more entertainment, have a nice night Severus.” With that Voldermort turned and left. Severus was left standing there trying to figure out what was happening.
“My follower’s I know that you will be satisfied with our Princess, I will have her demonstrate her power in fighting once she has a moment to rest. Once she is done resting she will compete in hand-to-hand combat against a muggle. Hermione was giving a moment and then forced back into the center of the circle to fight some muggle.
“Now Hermione, this fighter goes by the name of The Rock. I don’t know who he is but someone says he is the toughest fighter among the muggles.” Voldermort told her before turning back to walk back to where he was. Hermione took off her robes and walked toward the guy.
“Good luck,” Hermione said.
“Good luck to you, you’ll need it.” Hermione glared at him, only to be caught off guard with a leg sweep. She quickly got up and landed a right hook on the Rock’s face, the back and forth nature to the fight continued for twenty minutes till Hermione dripping with sweat, landed a combination of a right hook, left hook, and an uppercut. The Rock not knowing how to really fight fell like a ton of bricks. Hermione walked over to her father and transfigured a stick into a chair. She rested while they took the Rock away.
“Well father, how did I do?”
“My angel you did very well. It is now time for you to take your mark. I will give you ten minutes to clean up if you need them.” Voldermort smiled and walked away.
Hermione quickly found an area in the forest to perform some quick cleansing charms Hermione almost felt clean again but there was no hope for her outfit that had been completely soaked with sweat and even had some holes in it. Hermione transfigur nea near by spider web into a beautiful dress of light airy silver cloth. The dress was thin strapped and cut straight across, it was long down to the ground, but the most extraordinary thing about the dress was the cloth it was made out of. The cloth was silver yet could almost be seen through and the lines of the web could almost be seen as well. The top was kind of tight fitting which allowed her to show off her ample chest and she finished the ensemble with silver lace up sandals. Once she felt ready she pulled her ponytail out and let her hair fall down her back like liquid. She looked like a painting that should be hanging in a museum instead of the Princess of all evil getting ready to take the dark mark. Hermione walked out into the clearing and was dumbfounded to see that there was an alter with different goblets sitting on it. She approached the alter and her father smiled.
“Hermione Granger-Riddle, we are here to mark this one as one of our own. Hermione please repeat after me. I, Hermione Granger-Riddle, will always follow,”
“I, Hermione Granger-Riddle, will always follow,”
“What my Lord tells me to do.”
“What my Lord tells me to do.”
“I will trust only him,”
“I will trust only him,”
“And will do my to to bring an to to the light.”
“And will do my best to bring an end to the light.” Voldermort handed her a goblet and held one for himself. “Hermione drink deeply for this is the elixir of power, it will give the drinker the power to fight, the power to rule, and the power to control.” Hermione lifted the jewel-encrusted cup to her lips and drank until the cup emp empty. Lord Voldermort pulled out a small dagger with the hilt of a snake and pulled it across the palm of his hand. A small line of red formed where the knife had just crossed. Voldermort balled up his hand and let the blood drip into the cup he was holding. He said a quick spell and watched as the cup turned from a brown color to a bright red.
“Hermione, drink, this is a potion that will transfer my powers to you if I should die.” Voldermort said as he handed over the potion. Hermione drank the entire contents of the cup and handed back to her father. After a few seconds she felt the most wonderful feeling spreading through her body, like coming in from the cold and drinking a cup of hot chocolate.
“Now it is time for your mark.” Voldermort approached her and removed the necklace that he had given her almost two years ago. He took the necklace and laid it on the alter. He waved his hands over the necklace and muttered some spells then picked it up and put it back on Hermione.
”My daughter, you are not a common Deateater you are the next ruler, so therefore you have a very special mark. This necklace in a moment will become a tattoo on your neck, it will be black and a tribal design. It will never fade and can not be removed, it will ever mark you as my heir weather I am alive or not.” As Voldermort said this Hermione’s necklace started to change into a tattoo, a solid band at the middle of her throat and then a band that went from the middle of her shoulder’s around in a circle. The middle slowly filled with intricate designs. Voldermort picked up a small hand mirror that Hermione had not noticed earlier and gave it to her.
“Oh, father. I love it.” Hermione exclaimed once she saw her new mark.
“It works the same as your necklace, think about me hard enough and your thoughts will reach me.” Voldermort said. “Now that the ceremony is over, I have a party to throw in honor of my daughter. I will see you all at the manor tonight.”
Dumbledore sat at his desk highly confused.
“So, Hermione is now the adopted daughter of Voldermort? And she does not object?” Albus asked.
“No, Headmaster. She even seems to enjoy being there. I don’t understand.” Ron answered. “I think that we need to rush in there and take her back by force. Catch them all off guard.” He continued.
“No Ron, she seems to want to be there, so she must have a plan, or she really does want to be there.” Harry stopped him.
Ron looked confused, but Albus shook his head. “Harry’s right, our Hermione either has a plan or she really does want to be there. So I say leave her alone. Give her some time, besides Severus is there watching over her when he can now that we know she’s with Voldermort.”
“Fine I don’t like it but I’ll go along with it.” Ron huffed as he slumped in his chair crossing his arms over his chest.
‘She’s been here the whole time, right under my nose. How did I not know that something was going on? I have to find a way to get her back.’ Severus thought, as he was getting ready to apperate to the party for Hermione. Severus wrapped his cloak around him and apperated to the manor. The party was a wild revel like thing and after a few drink he quickly left. ‘Hermione wasn’t at her own party, I wonder where she was?’ Severus thought as he had a few drinks before he went to bed.
