Cinnamon and Musk

Sorry guys, just a short little chapter, I know where this story is going but it is fighting me to get written.

Severus was awoken by a gentle stirring against his chest. He could feel thinthing warm against his front and his arm was draped over whatever lay in front of him. ‘This is a dream,’ he thought to himself. It must be, I have never felt so content. Severidn’idn’t open his eyes, afraid that it would end, that he would wake up in his cold bed in the dungeons. He took a deep breath through his nose and scented cinnamon*. He cuddled down into the shape in front of him and found his face buried in a mass of curly hair.

Hermione opened her eyes when she felt something bury in her hair. She could feel someone take in a deep breath, who is that? It feels like they are sing ing my hair. Who ever it was felt good. Their arm was wrapped around her waist. She took in a deep breath and smelt sandalwood*, spice and musk. ‘Oh God, he smells so good.’ She though to herself, ‘He?’ another voice asked. ‘This is suddenly a man who is cuddled up behind you?’ Of course this is a man, no woman smells like that. Hermione realized that she had never felt so content. She closed her eyes and snuggled back down into the bed.

Dumbledore watched as the two patients snuggled down together. His eyes twinkled as he turned to Poppy. “Well, it seems that our two patients are waking up.” Dumbledore looked serene but Poppy looked worried.

“Albus, what will they say when they find out what happened. What will they say when the realize the change this will cause in their lives?”

“Unfortunately Poppy, that is a bridge that we will have to cross when we come to it.”

* Alot of diffrent authors have used these smells to describe these characters and they stuck with me. This is now how I think of them smelling. I can\'t give credit to the orginator because I don\'t know who you are.
