Seduce My Father - Complete
A New House And A Proposal
It was determined after a trip to St. Mungo's that Luna and Adrien's baby would be due somewhere in the coming February. The child was conceived a few days before the school year ended.
The summer hadn't really been all that eventful, but that was okay. Hermione knew that after having such a busy life, Severus deserved to relax, and do nothing as much as he wanted. Yet, it was the day that Severus decided he wanted to go searching for a house outside of Spinner's End. It was a week before Hermione would have to venture to University in New York, so he and she went together. He wanted her opinion more than anything.
Severus placed his hands over her eyes as soon as they disapparated to a location unknown to Hermione.
"This one... I think that you will like more than others." he said. Hermione giggled at the excitement in his tone.
"It doesn't matter what I like, love. You're buying the house. Not I."
"No, it does matter. It matters to me." he said sternly.
"Okay then."
He removed his hands from over her eyes, and Hermione took in a beautiful sight. They were standing in the middle of a long driveway. She guessed it was about a mile long looking behind her, but the house, rather, the Mansion was amazing. It was a huge victorian style house with an expansive yard with trees all around the property.
"How..How" she breathed looking around.
Severus laughed. "Er, this is one of Malfoy's properties. Said he would allow me to buy it for a lower price since I kept him out of Azkaban."
"It's fantastic. Can we go inside?" Without another word, Hermione set off toward the house, and bounded up the steps like an excited child.
The doors to the house reminded her of the gigantic oak doors that lead to the Great Hall in Hogwarts. Upon entering, they emerged into a giant foyer.
"Go on. I know you want to look." Severus smirked at her.
Hermione smiled and went up the stairs. "Oh my gods! Oh my gods!" he heard her squealing as she passed from room to room. Severus shook his head and laughed.
"Is that a yes then?" he called up the stairs.
Another pitter patter of Hermione's feet could be heard.
"Yes! Ugh, the bathtub in here is fabulous!"
She came back down moments later smiling wide. "It's perfect."
"I thought so. I trust you decided what room will be ours?" he asked. Hermione wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I think so." she beamed before pressing her lips to his.
"Now to convince Adrien that moving out of Spinner's End will be a good thing."
"Is there a river nearby here?" she asked. "Or a creek?"
"Yes, I believe so.. Just through the trees.."
"I think he'll be sold on the idea then." she laughed.
Severus nodded, closed the doors, and apparated them back to Spinner's End.
"How was the house searching then?" Adrien asked. He and Luna were once again sitting in the armchairs reading books on parenting and what to expect.
"Adrien, are you opposed to moving away from Spinner's End?" Severus asked, leaning against the wall.
Adrien closed his book and looked up at his father. "I don't know... Um... Not really? I mean, I grew up here, but I don't think it will kill me to leave."
"There's a creek." Hermione supplied smiling wide.
Adrien laughed. "Okay then... I think I can live with that. When do we see the house?"
"You've already seen it. It's one of Lucius's properties."
"So when do we move then?" Adrien asked.
"I figured we would move after Hermione goes to New York."
"Wh- you're not gonna let me help?" she asked, eyes wide.
"There won't be much involved. A few boxes..." Severus replied with a slight smile.
"Okay..."
"Well, how's that going to work? She won't ever see the house." Adrien said.
"She will... Because you will be teaching my classes part time." Severus smirked at his son.
"Okay then... Sounds great." Adrien said sarcastically, but laughed in spite of himself.
------
It was finally the day before Hermione had to leave. She and Severus laid in bed together, not wanting to move from their entwined position.
"Professor Adrien Snape..." Hermione mused aloud, laughing.
"What's funny?" Severus asked, moving onto his side to face her.
"It's just... Adrien is so... Well, now that I think about it, it's not so funny because he's pretty much just lke you." Hermione laughed.
"Adrien's a little nicer than I am at times."
"I don't think he'll be so nice once he's actually teaching. I fear he won't be able to watch his language." Hermione became racked with laughter at the thought of Adrien telling one of his students that their Potion work is "fucking tragic."
"He can control it when he has to. I hope." Severus added with a laugh.
"Well, either way, when I can, I want to go and sit in on one of his classes. I think it would be quite the hour."
"I'm glad he's doing it along with his apprenticeship... Gives me a much needed break, I think."
"I think he's just more concerned with making money to support Luna and the baby."
"He'll be a spectacular father."
"Ohhh... I want a baby, Severus." Hermione cooed.
"What about Uni?" Severus asked, suddenly alarmed.
"I can... Go to uni during my pregnancy..."
"I thought you wanted to go for two years?"
"I don't see much of a point in a two year continuation... I'll be working at the Ministry anyway." Hermione mused.
"I think it would be prudent to be married before that happens..." Severus trailed off.
"Is this your roundabout way of asking me to marry you?" Hermione giggled.
"Okay, yes... I suppose it is. Will you marry me, Hermione Granger? Become Mrs. Snape?"
Hermione squealed with joy and jumped to her knees and straddled his thin waist quickly to lean over him and pressed a loving kiss to his lips.
"I like the sound of that.."
"Good" he smiled against her lips.
