 Worst Day

As Harry Potter stopped his car in the driveway of the home he shared with his lover of four years, he glared at the sky that opened up and let loose a flood of rain. Shoving open his door, he gathered up his school books and ran for the porch, hoping to keep his papers as dry as possible.

Bursting through the door, he caused his blond haired lover to jump up from the couch and into a defensive position.

“Babe, you startled me.” Wyatt said, running his fingers through his hair. “Hey what's wrong?” He asked when he saw Harry's posture.

“I've just had a horrible day...the worst day I've ever had.”

“What happened?”

“Come with me I want to get out of these wet clothes. I'll talk while I change.”

Nodding, Wyatt followed Harry towards their bedroom after turning off the movie he had been watching.

Stripping out of his clothes and tossing them into the connected bathroom, Harry started to pull on his sweatpants and a white t-shirt.

“So do you remember that project I was working on for my biology class?”

“Yeah you spent so long on it and worked so hard.”

“Well it was raining when I got to campus today and as I was walking my umbrella decided today was a good time to rip. My paper was ruined. Not only that, the flash drive I had the files on was corrupted so I couldn't print out a copy. Professor Dantev wasn't so understanding and told me if I didn't get it to him by the end of the day he'd have to fail me which will ruin my grade because it's half of my overall class grade.”

Pulling Harry onto the bed, Wyatt cuddled him close and stroked his back gently. “Didn't you have your laptop in the car?”

“Apparently someone decided to break into my car and found it hidden under the front seat.”

“I'm sorry you had such a horrible day.” Wyatt said, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

“The only good thing is that Professor Dantev decided to let me hand it in by Friday since my laptop was stolen out of my car.”

“What do you say we go away this weekend for a vacation? I know we've been putting it off because of our classes, but we're off for the holiday until next month now.”

Moaning, Harry nuzzled into Wyatt's neck and said, “That sounds perfect.”

“Good. Just leave all the planning to me. Now how about we put on a movie and I'll call for some take out for dinner?”

Smiling, Harry said, “This day isn't as bad as I thought it was.”
