Author: Disturbia
Rating: Adult
Summery: Phoenix and Draco grieve their losses after the war.
Prompt: Cemetery
Challenger: Theaswan
Tears blurred the eyes of the youngest Malfoy. Both Phoenix and Draco were looking at the gravestone that held the name of Lucius Malfoy. Former School Governor, Honored Death Eater, and last in a long line of Muggle hating Malfoy Purebloods. He had died in Azkaban not two weeks before, leaving a grieving wife, and two children in the aftermath of war.
“Come on, Nix, it’s time to go.” Draco finally drew his attention away from the fresh grave, one of so many, and looked to his sister. The strong one, the fighter, and now, his scared and crying little sister. He had never seen her this tied by the world around her. She was always off in her own world, but now she was stuck.
“Dray, where did we o wrong?” she asked, not turning from the grave.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean us, the Malfoy’s, when did we become like this? When did it start?” Draco was caught off guard by this.
“I don’t know.” He shrugged, taking her hand and literally pulling her away from the cause of their despair.
“You know, I bet Astoria wants to see you again.” Phoenix said as they were walking back to the apparition point.
