Time flew as the three of us wrestled, Draco and I fighting for power and control. I was pretty sure the John was just fighting for the hell of it. It was a strange feeling, being held down by two different people. I don’t know whether it was a conscious choice or not, but Draco and I were helping each other. Making what the John did a lot better. Draco kissed me as often as he could get to my lips. I did the same.
It was a struggle for me, to try and keep my hands off Draco, and pleasure the John. Now that the little voice in my head that had been mad at Draco was silenced, I was able to appreciate the blonde. The way he touched me, the way he tasted. I memorized every detail.
At one point, the John was behind me, and I had Draco pinned below me. Our eyes met. For a brief moment we were all alone. Floating through space. Just the two of us. I loved him.
With a grunt I felt the familiar sensation of the John spilling himself across my back.
“You two were so much fun” he sighed as he pulled my head back to capture my lips. I let him. I knew it was almost over. I was also aware of the fact that I was aroused. The first time hadn’t been pleasurable at all for me. But I was still hard. I could tell that Draco had the same problem.
The John pulled on his shorts, and went to the bathroom, leaving Draco and I alone for the first time. I was nervous, what would happen between us now that we weren’t working. What if the connection between us was all an act.
“ Harry.” Draco said from below me. I had forgotten about my position on top of him. “ Get you clothes on, quick.” He pushed me off of him, and started gathering our clothes. We managed to get dressed before the John was finished in the bathroom.
“ Leaving so soon?” He asked with a smile.
“ Well we could always stay for a bit longer, if you’re willing to pay.” Draco said seductively. I wrapped my arms around the blondes waist, trying to be seductive. Draco leaned into my embrace. I prayed that there was more to this than an act for the John.
“ It’s so tempting, but I’ll need some time to gather the funds necessary. Can I make an appointment for next weekend?” He asked.
“ I’ll put in the word with Tom.” Draco said. He pulled out of my arms. I tried not to let the disappointment show on my face.
We left. Silently. He didn’t say a word while we were in the cab. He remained silent while we sat waiting for everyone to return to our corner with the benches. I was afraid to say anything. I didn’t want to say something wrong. That’s when I realized that I was back to square one. Here I was, scared Draco didn’t like me, while he sat like a zombie driving me crazy. I was not going to go through this shit again. I knew he cared about me, he had told me right before we left earlier. I made a plan, and waited.
It wasn’t long before everyone showed up, and we headed home for the night. I continued to wait until everyone had settled down before I made my move. I walked through the dark over the couch, where Draco was sleeping.
“ Draco?” I whispered. As I sat down at his feet.
“ What?” He said looking up at me, he hadn’t been asleep.
“ Can we talk?” He nodded, and sat up so we were face to face. I could barely see him in the dim light. The sun was up, leaking through the heavily curtained windows. “ What happened tonight?”
“ We had a job together, it happens every now and then.” he said, looking down. Was he embarrassed? “ Are you okay with what happened?” He added, nervously.
“ Of course I’m okay.” I whispered back. “ I was with you.” He gave me a curious look. “ I mean I was upset. Well I still am.”
“ Why? Did he do something? I was trying to distract him from you.” Draco voice grew shaky. It almost sounded like he was crying, but I couldn’t see any tears in the low light.
“ No.” I said forcefully. “ I was upset because I didn’t know if you really wanted me, or if you were just working.” I waited for his rejection. I had convinced myself that the only reason he was worried I was upset, was because he was scared I would leave. If I left it would probably get Tom mad, and then Tom would take his anger out on Draco.
He stared at me for a long moment. I counted my heart beats, waiting for what I knew would be the end.
He leaned forward. I watched in slow motion as he took my face into his hands, and he pulled me into his lips.
“ I have been wanting to do that for so long.” He said as he pulled himself away.
“ Then why didn’t you?” I asked, I felt warm and fuzzy, and I had the strangest sensation that I was about to cry.
“ It’s not a good idea, what if some one finds out?” He whispered.
“ Why does that matter? Why can’t we just be together?” I asked desperately. I had him. He had admitted to me that he wanted me. That he cared for me. But now we couldn’t be together. I hated this place. It was ruining my life. I had to get Draco and I out of here.
“ Why do you think?” He spat. “ Tom just doesn’t like it. So it doesn’t happen.”
“ Then we’ll leave. We’ll run away the two of us. Ditch town and get on a bus or something. We can go and find real jobs. Make a real life. The two of us.” I was practically in tears as I begged him. The look on his face showed me everything.
“ I want to. But I can’t. You’ve been here for a week or two, I’ve been here for years. It’s not something that you can just get out of.” He said with a somber face. “ I’m stuck here.”
I just stared into his amazing silver eyes and wished that there were some way to convince him to leave with me.
“ I’ll get us out. Don’t worry.” Before he could protest, I snagged his lips in a deep kiss. He let out a small moan and leaned into me. I could feel my body growing warm, and my heart speeding up. I broke off the kiss before we got too carried away. “ I’m yours, whether it’s a secret or out in the open. Get used to it.” I gave him the ultimatum and hurried over to bed.
I couldn’t sleep. I spent the time planning. Thinking out every scenario my mind could come up with. My plans were fairly optimistic. The only thing they hinged on was being able to smuggle money out with them. Tom kept a very detailed record of the money earned, and spent by us. Every time someone got a job, it was reported to him. He kept everyone in submission through fear. If he even suspected someone of stealing, they’d be in for it. Our main problem were the others. The people I considered friends would in a heartbeat rat us out if that guaranteed their safety.
I considered the idea of us hustling on our own out of the territory. It might work, but Draco was Tom’s biggest earner, he wouldn’t let him go without some search effort. We’d be found in no time if we were on the streets.
Besides planning, my mind spent a considerable amount of time thinking about Draco. I could taste him still. The feeling of his lips against mine. The softness of his pale skin. The hard long muscles of his arms. I imagined him looking at me with his gray eyes. They were so powerful and enchanting. I had to save him.
The next week passed. Draco and I barely spoke during this time. I was afraid that I would slip, and give wind to what had happened. I was never scared that I had lost Draco. He seemed like a new person. He wasn’t a zombie anymore. For a whole week I felt as though I was finally happy. Well almost happy. Every job that I worked was torture. What was even worse was watching Draco leave without me. Every morning I would go to his couch before falling asleep, and kiss him. It was our only physical contact. Every time we kissed, I would feel his bruised lips brush mine, and it took all my strength not to cry.
“ Draco. I have a plan.” I whispered after everyone had fallen asleep. “ What if we secretly charged more for jobs, and kept the profit. Tom would never know, because he would still get the money he’d expect. It’ll only work for drive ups, but we’ll have enough eventually.”
“ No.” He said sadly. “ He’ll find out. It’ll get back to him some how. He’s very powerful. He has all these connections. He can tell when you’re lying to him. He’ll kill us, just to prove that you can’t steal from him.” Draco was growing hysteric. I had to pull him into an embrace to keep him quiet.
“ I won’t let that happen. I’m going to get us out.” I said as I held him. I was scared, but I could be brave for Draco. He deserved better.
