Chapter Six:
As the Hogwarts’ Express grinds to a halt I make my way out of my compartment, heading in the direction of where I know my boy is. As the corridor of the train fills with Hogwarts’ students it’s hard for me to spot my boy because of his short stature but I am determined. Within a few minutes I find my boy trailing behind that insufferable redhead and his annoying entourage.
I growl in irritation at the redhead but determined not to cause another scene, I discreetly make my way behind the group. When the group makes its way outside the train I quickly grab my boy, placing a hand over his soft lips so that the group of muggle lovers won’t hear my boy cries of protest.
Quickly I shuffle my way to a dark corner before releasing the boy. With his mouth free he stutters out his usual line, “Wha—what are you"
I smirk at my boy, crossing my arms as I lean back against the wall. I eye him up and down until I have him squirming in the most delicious manner possible. The boy frowns as my smirk grows larger.
“If you don’t have anything to say, Mr. Malfoy then I really must be going. We shouldn’t be late for the sorting ceremony as it is meant for us first years.”
I am slightly taken aback at my boy’s tone though I don’t let it show in front of Harry. Inwardly I note that his time with the weasel has made him a little more spirited so I’ll make sure I keep that redhead prat away from my boy.
“So you’re Harry Potter, huh?”
Now my boy is frowning at my tone. I try to keep it light but just the name Harry Potter rolling off of my tongue has me spitting venom. I take in a deep breath, forcing myself to think rationally. The Harry Potter of my childhood hate is not this Harry Potter, my boy. I have to make a complete 180 on how I had planned to treat Harry Potter. I have already let my hate for Harry Potter show in front of my boy so I’ll have to use all of my Malfoy charm to persuade the boy to my side.
I sigh because no matter how hard it’ll be to persuade my boy, persuading my parents is going to be at least twice as difficult.
“Harry, I would like to apologize,” I say, cringing inside because a Malfoy never apologizes but I’ll apologize to my boy if only because it is the Harry Potter and any kind of relationship between Harry Potter and a Malfoy can only raise my family’s standing in wizarding society.
Harry frowns again but as I stare intently at him his frown turns into a sheepish look as he scratches the back of his head. “Um..ok, Draco. I guess I’ll accept your apology but if you talk bad about me again I’m not gonna be your friend anymore.”
I smirk at Harry and he twitches and I’m sure that even if I do slip up and say something about his mudblood mother or his blood traitor father he’ll forgive me. After all, I am a Malfoy and a Malfoy is never wrong.
