We're Not So Different After All

For once in his life, Professor Snape was being decent. And for as long as he could remember, there had never been a time that a student, especially a Gryffindor, that was able to persuade him. Perhaps it had been how much sense she made. Or maybe how amazing she looked. Either way, it was totally unlike Snape and he made a silent vow to never let something like this happen again.

Aleina sat in silence for a minute after consuming the antidote, trying to perpare herself for what she was about to reveal. She stared at the floor with her fingers laced together. She could feel the professor looking down upon her, waiting...impatiently. She looked up to stare at his cold eyes.

"Miss Tempest I do not wish to have a staring contest, I merely need you to give me the information that I seek and you may leave." Snape said in a quiet, yet demanding voice. Aleina sighed.

"You know Professor, although you are a Slytherin, and I am clearly not...there is one thing that makes us not so different after all," She tried to offer a smile but when he didnt return it, Aleina quickly looked away.

"If you please, I don't wish to solve a riddle Miss Tempest," His anger was becoming more apparent with every word he said.

"Of course not, my apologies sir. There is only one small problem about revealing this to you. If I told you, not in your wildest fantasies would you believe me. I would have to show you." She began trying to sound calm and collected but she knew it wouldn't last.

"Show me." Came his dry response.

"This is where it becomes harder, as I'm sure you know, I have a concealment spell cast upon my arms. What you may not know is that they were cast as permanent by my grandfather, who died two years ago. He told me that I could hide my ugliness from the world forever..." Aleina began her story. As real as it seemed, it was merely the opposite. She hoped and prayed that he wouldn't see through her facade.

"You're lying!!" He snapped almost immediatley. He rose from the chair behind his desk and grabbed her by the back of the neck. In all his rage Snape threw her across the room and she landed on her back. Struggling to get up, Aleina looked for the professor but didn't see him. Instead she felt a heavy black boot push her back down to the ground.

Coughing and choking Aleina fought for freddom underneath the surprising muscualr force of her lanky potions master. Noticing her silent pleas, Snape let his foot off her back and stared down at her.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" Aleina screamed as loud as she could, through a bunch of hard coughs. She found her way to her feet.

"Need I remind you that you gave me full permission to use any method necessary to extract the information I want, Miss Tempest?" He snarled.

"Well, excuse me sir, I wasn't implying to beat the shit out of me...like this." She said in a soft voice

"I'm tired of playing these games Gryffindor!" Snape yellled. In one swift motion he retrieved his wand from his back pocket a murmured a spell that Aleina couldn't quite hear. But all of the sudden she was sitting in the chair in front of the Professors desk with her arms outstretched onto the desk. She tried to move them but she couldn't. Panic rose over her.

She looked at Snape with an expression of anger, resentment, and pity. He merely laughed and poured himself another drink. He took a sip and leaned towards her face. He brought his lips to her ear and whispered "Game Over!"
