Chapter 4 - Life Goes On -Changing Minds and Changing Hearts Part One
Thanks for the reviews they really helped.
So here is the next part of the story! Narration plays a part in this chapter and probably chapters to come! Sorry if you don’t like it but its to bad because I’m not likely to stop!

Two years had past since that night where lives and hearts had been changed. Maybe it was for the better or maybe it was for the worst. No-one was to know what would happen until it happened. So lives carried on and hearts were on their way to mending. Though there was a question that always bothered our hero’s. Can a broken heart ever mend once broken? Or is it sometimes so broken, that it can never be truly whole again?

Life had carried for Draco and Ron, though not the way it had always been planned for them. Because you see fate had a chosen a path for them to follow which lead to happiness and love, however their decisions and choices though they may seem like the same thing, lead to one different life. A life where love no longer was a part of it and each day lead to such an uncertainty that it left them constantly wondering what if.
Draco had not only lost Harry and the baby he never knew ( and still doesn’t know about ) but he had lost the only friends he had come out with after the war and also on some level his mother. Though she still loved him and told him regularly that she loved him, he had disappointed her so much that she had ended up not talking to him for two months and finally when she did, her first question was said with true sadness and her eyes looked filled with that sorrow and disappointment that Draco struggled not to look away in shame. “Are you sorry? Are you truly sorry for your actions?”
Draco had thought it was a strange question. Of course he was sorry, hadn’t he told her enough that if he could, he would go back and change all the mistakes and not give into the temptation that had seemed so hard to refuse in the beginning. ( though you will hear more about it later on in the story ) he would, but that, as we all know is impossible. ( before you ask time turners have been destroyed. I’ll explain later ). Though he didn’t understand what she meant now, he knew he would eventually, and when he looked back at this moment he would see his mother’s hidden questions, fears and feelings that Malfoy’s very rarely showed. If he had looked deeper, he would of seen the hidden secret that she was keeping so desperately hidden from him, that if asked might have been revealed there. But that would ruin the story and the plot so lucky for me Draco never did ask.
Draco then spent his time finding that missing piece of his heart that was now constantly wide open for the world to see. For the Malfoy mask the all Malfoy’s once prided themselves on, had be forgotten, and all that mattered was finding his other half and becoming the family he had had before he chucked it way so carelessly.

Ron’s life was filled with constant loneliness, fear, sadness, bitterness and rejection. You may be wondering why the feeling of regret is missing from the list. It’s not there because the only thing that Ron had regretted from the night was that he hadn’t managed to keep Draco. He was lonely because Draco wasn’t there, he felt fear because he thought that Draco would never come back to him. Sadness and the bitterness because again Draco wasn’t there and rejection, because every time he tried to talk to him, he would either wouldn’t answer or tell him he hated him for what they did to the people they loved, well in Ron’ case supposed to love.
If I had be honest Ron didn’t even feel sorry for what he had done to Harry and Hermione. I think I did at the beginning but not now. Now he all he felt against them was anger. He was angry because in his eyes they were the reason that Draco wasn’t with him now, because he was travelling to one place or another trying to find where they could of gone. Another reason for Ron’s anger towards them was that even though they had left and made it perfectly clear that they wanted nothing to do with either of them Harry, Hermione and Sam, though Harry mostly, still ruled Draco’ heart. Draco had loved Hermione and Sam like they were his sister and constantly had felt the need to be the big brother in certain situations that he felt needed to be either chaperoned or dissolved.
You see the only thing that Ron ever thought about was Draco. Though some may say that its romantic to be so in love with someone that all you can do to survive is to live and breath them everyday and taking that way would destroy you, however Ron the reason though he did love Draco he wanted because he was Harry’s. It was the reason why he had gone after Draco in the first. Played on his insecurities to get what he wanted and that was the reason why he had forgotten to place the silencing charm and the notice-me-not charm. He had wanted to them to find them and he wanted to see Harry’ face when he caught the man he loved in the arms of another man. He knew that Harry’ greatest insecurity was that he could never be loved and that all the people he loved hurt and left him alone. You may be wondering why Ron wanted to hurt Harry so much, the truth is….
( I know I’m bitch but you will find out.)

So a year had gone by and things had certainly changed. Draco had now stopped looking for Harry, Hermione and Sam. Ron however hadn’t changed and was still the manipulating arse that he had always been, however the only difference was that he had gotten what he wanted. Draco.
It had been one of those typical horrible rainy days that whenever in a film you know something bad or dramatic is about happen. Well this is no different. Draco had come home to find a very “traumatic” Ron in the middle of his living room saying how he had lost everything he every care about, Hermione, Harry and Sam, his family. And Draco. And that he could bare to lose Draco not now. And of course Draco, not matter his mistakes still had a big heart and still cared for Ron. So eventually after much pleading on Ron’s part he finally gave in and said though could start slow. He then knelt down beside Ron and held him till he calmed down. However he never the evil glint in Ron’ eye or the equally evil smirk of a man that had just manipulated Draco around his little finger. Though their relationship wasn’t they way the had hoped he always knew how play Draco whenever he felt him slipping from him.
So that’s how we found Draco and Ron two years to the day from the night in the library. I wonder will Ron always have power over Draco now or will he realise that our main hero Harry James Potter was still the Boy-Who-Lived for a reason?
