Daydreaming
I want to thank you all for reading so far. I have many exciting directions that I want to go in. Please read and review and thank you for you kind encouragement.
Hermione was lost in thought as she was sitting through her classes. She had made it through her earlier classes and was now sitting in her last class of the day which was double potions. Her potions professor was speaking at the front of the class about the importance of adding the ingredients of the potion they were making in the correct order. His low, sensual baritone rang out through the classroom and had all of the students at the edge of their seats trying to absorb everything he was saying so that he would not take any points from their house.
Professor Snape looked at the students while they listened to his instructions. Their complete attention for fear of what he would say or do left him smirking outwardly. He liked his class to be afraid of him. It kept them alert.
As he continued his instructions he noticed one face that was usually furiously writing at his instructions was not even looking at the board or her paper. She had a dreamy look about her, and was clearly daydreaming in his classroom.
This was quite unexpected as Miss Granger was always trying to be perfect, and he took real pride in never giving her perfect marks. He knew that it would get her to continue to try harder, and would keep her over bloated opinion of herself in check. He absolutely loathed a know-it-all.
He decided to peer into her mind to see what was more important than getting an “O” on her potion for the day by listening to his directions. Professor Snape used occlemency on Hermione and saw that she was daydreaming about Mr. Weasley; not the Mr. Weasley that he expected however.
In her daydream Hermione was passionately kissing one of the twins. Snape saw George’s hand move down to her chest and caress her breast. Hermione moaned in her daydream. George was leading her to a bed covered in red satin sheets. There were thousands of candles lighting the room. Hermione’s hair spread over the red satin and George kissed her neck.
At this Professor Snape had enough. He did not want to have this view of one of his students; therefore he bellowed out, “Miss Granger, if you would get your head out of the clouds and stop fantasizing about Mr. Weasley we could get on to more important matters, like the dreamless sleep potion that we are making today!”
Hermione turned a bright scarlet color, and replied, “I’m sorry professor, I was just lost in my thoughts, but I most certainly was not thinking about Mr. Weasley.”
Professor Snape raised an eyebrow at her and said, “10 points from Gryffindor for day dreaming in my class, and another 5 points for lying to a professor.”
Hermione’s eyes flashed in anger but her cheeks were still red with embarrassment, and she thought twice before saying anything else.
Ron looked at Hermione in surprise. He could tell she was lying to the professor by the tone in her voice and the expression on her face. He had never expected that Hermione might have feelings for him. He had never really thought about it in all the time he knew her. He had been focusing his attention on the woman of his dreams, Lavender Brown.
He looked at her more closely. She was pretty by her own right, and he was flattered that she thought of him that way; however he thought of her more as a sister. The less noble part of his subconscious thought that it may be fun to experiment with her so that he would be more experienced whenever he won Lavender’s heart. He vowed to think more on what kind of opportunities this could bring him.
