Vampires, colors and lovers...
The meeting continued all night and into the morning, until rest could no longer be ignored. Men began to leave, one-by-one.
"Harry, stay a while?" Prince Mikhail asked, sitting down in a high back chair.
"Of course," Harry replied, giving a slight bow.
Harry sat down after Mikhail gestured for him to sit across from him. Gregori stood behind the prince, looking intently at Harry.
"You are the first male wizard turned into a Carpathian, Harry, we don\'t know exactly what to expect with you," Mikhail started. "A normal Carpathian male starts loosing feeling and color around your age, until it all disappears. Have you started feeling different? Have colors begun to dim?"
Running a hand through his already messy hair, Harry, thought back to last week. Seeing his best friend dying, planning his funeral, burying him.
"I can still feel emotions. They have begun to dim, though." Harry sighed, and looked up at the prince. "My best friend, human friend, died this week. I was sad and upset, but not as would have been had it happened a few years ago."
"I am sorry for your loss," Lucian said from behind Harry where he leaned against the wall.
"Thank you," Harry mumbled. "Colors. I can still see them, some are still bright, but most have faded, a lot. Reds, greens, blues, they are all muted for me."
"Have you felt any tendencies to... turning?" Mikhail asked, looking Harry right in the eye.
"No, not even when I feed."
"Good, then I think it is time to sleep, for all of us," Mikhail said with a firm voice, dismissing them all.

The large castle the group of Carpathians were living in had many underground chambers for sleep. Harry slept in the one farthest from the Prince and his lifemate. This was to be expected, Harry was the still new kid, the new kid who was different.
Rising from the ground, Harry found himself in the basement. Floating up the stairs, he found the house empty. His senses told him where everyone was.
Stepping out the front door, he was greeted with the sight of Carpathian children playing with each other or a parent as the men looked on and kept guard.
Harry nodded to Lucian and Gabriel, who were standing at the edge of the yard, keeping guard on their lifemates and children.
Harry\'s eyes were drawn to Savannah, Gergori\'s lifemate, as she played with her four-year-old twin daughters. One was bravely hopping from stone to stone, laughing and trying to get the other to join her. But her twin was firmly holding onto her mommy, watching her sister from around her mothers skirts. Harry wondered if they did look identical, but he could only see part of the hidden twin, as her mother blocked his view.
The brave twin, continued to jump rock from rock while yelling for her sister to join her.
"Come on, Morgan! It isn\'t scary! I promwis!" the brave one lisped to her sister.
Savannah gave the hiding twin a gentle push towards her sister, giving Harry a perfect view of the little one.
She turned her head towards Harry, her bright blue eyes connecting with his bright green ones. She was identical to her sister, they had the same dark curls, same blue eyes, with touches of silver.
Harry felt like he had been punched in the stomach. He turned away from the little girl and rushed into the forest surrounding the castle.
He ran only a few yards, before being grabbed from behind.
"What is wrong?" Lucian pulled Harry around and looked at him. "What happened?"
"The colors aren\'t dim anymore."
"What?" Lucian asked, shocked.
"Colors, they aren\'t dim anymore, I can feel it all... emotion," Harry gasped, looking up at his mentor.
"Who is she?" he asked, loosening his grip on the younger man.
"Therein lies the problem," Harry answered.
"Why is it a problem," came the voice of Gregori from behind his brother. Standing watching Harry and Lucian, were Gregori, Gabriel, Aiden, Julian and Jacques.
"Uh..." Harry stuttered, looking at Gregori. "She is still young."
"We have had that problem before, is she one of the teenagers Falcon and his lifemate brought to live here?" Gregori asked.
"Um, no, younger," Harry replied, not looking at Gregori.
Lucian suddenly laughed, realization dawning in his eyes.
"Oh, younger," was all he said as he backed away from Harry.
"Who?" Gregori demanded, knowing something was up.
"Morgan," Harry whispered, shrinking back from Gregori, also known as the Dark One.
"Did you just say Morgan?" Gregori asked, taking a step towards Harry, his silver eyes flashing.
"Yes," Harry said, standing a little taller and looking Gregori in the eye.
If looks could kill, Harry would be dead.
