Leaving

Scorpius, completely shocked at first, soon deepened the kiss. He tangled his fingers in Albus' unruly hair and put his other hand on Al's hip. Al wrapped his arms around Scor's neck and slowly leaned the two of them back until they were laying on his bed.

"Albus! Are you in there?" They, reluctantly broke apart.

"Yes, Mrs. Malfoy!" Al called back.

"My name is Narcissa, dear. And have you seen Sco.... There you are Scorpius. We were wondering where you'd gone." She stated, opening the door. "Anyway, dinner is done early for some reason, so wash up and come downstairs." With that, the Malfoy Matriarch left the room again.

"Bloody woman has the worst timing." Scorpius muttered sitting back up. Together, they got ready for dinner and Scorpius led Albus to the dining room.

"Dad! You're back."

"I am. Draco followed behind me and all but dragged me back." Harry stated.

"He did say he was going to do that." Al remembered. Al sat beside his father at the dinner table. The meal passed very smoothly, considering Draco and Harry's past. It would seem that Narcissa was right and that their boys' happiness was more important.

After dinner, a house elf hurried into the room. "Misters Potter, there is someone in the fire for yous." They looked at each other, excused themselves, and followed the elf to the study.

"Harry! Albus! Darlings, is everything alright?"

"Hi Grandma. We're okay." Al answered, smiling at his grandmother.

"Hi Molly. We're staying with Al's friends, well, mine now too."

"You've become friends with the Malfoys, Harry?" The Weasley matriarch asked.

"I have." He seemed ready to defend his choice at any moment.

"Well, I'm proud of you. Not many can look past the prejudices of their childhood and make friends out of old enemies." She smiled at him.

"Thank you, Molly."

"Now, what's this I hear about Ginny and a divorce?"

"Ginny doesn't share your attitude and is very angry with both of us. She said some awful things about Al that I won't repeat and then told me she was filing for divorce. And I hate to say it because you're her mother and I care about you and the rest of the family, but this is probably for the best. Even if she does manage to over come her own prejudices, I'm not sure I could ever take her back." Harry stated.

"Well, I happen to agree with you on that, Harry. You know you're always welcome with us, dear. You've been part of this family longer than you were Ginny's husband, you know."

"Thanks, Molly." Al knew his father well enough to know how much his grandma's words meant to him. They spoke for a few more minutes until Molly excused herself and went to go finish making dinner for herself, Arthur, Charlie, and Percy.

"Harry, Albus, we were wondering if either of you needed to get anything?" Draco and Scorpius walked in.

"Yeah, I suppose we should go back and collect our things." Harry sighed. Together the four of them Apperated to just outside Harry and Al's home.

"What in the hell are they doing in my house?" Ginny demanded.

"Ginerva Weasley! Harry lives here too!" Ron and Hermione walked into the living room behind Ginny.

"We're only here to get the rest of our things." Harry stated, dejectedly.

"I don't want them in here." She stated pulling out her wand. Hermione had hers trained on the other girl in seconds.

"Put it away, Ginny. Ron, where's Rose?"

"Here, Mum."

"Good. Go upstairs and help Al pack. Ron, go with Harry. Ginny and I will stay down here." Hermione instructed, never looking away from Ginny or moving her wand.

"Hermione, you're really going to stand in my way?" Ginny demanded.

"I am. I'm a hit witch, or did you forget that?" Hermione narrowed her eyes, daring the younger woman to challenge her. Ginny huffed angrily and put her wand away. "Good choice."

Rose followed the others up to Al's room while Harry, Ron, and Draco went to Harry's. She watched her two best friends carefully, but nothing seemed to be different between them. "Hey Dad." Scorpius looked up from packing Al's trunk.

"Harry sent me to magically pack everything. He says he doesn't want to prolong this anymore than necessary." And so, with a wave of his wand and a muttered incantation, Draco packed all of Al's things neatly. Draco the shrunk the trunk and Al put it in his pocket.

"Mum, Dad, can I go with them? Just for a little while?" Rose asked when they got back downstairs.

Hermione and Ron looked at each other then over at Draco who shrugged. "Sure, dear. Just don't come home too late, alright?" Hermione told her.

"I won't." She grinned and hugged both of her parents before setting off with Al and Scorpius in tow.The three were talking adamantly with one another and didn't seem to notice how far behind them Draco and Harry were.

"I wonder how long it will be before my mother wonders why it is that I don't get along with Rose's parents?" Draco asked Harry.

"Probably not very long. But I suppose it does come down to how each of us was raised and what was expected of us back then." He sighed. "I'm very glad it's different for them."

"Even though they've chosen to be friends with my son?"

"They're happy, Draco. Look at them." He gestured to the three teens ahead of them. "Doesn't matter to me one way or another so long as they're happy with the choices they've made." Harry knew he was speaking for Ron and Hermione about Rose when he said this as well.

***************************

"Wonder what they're talking about back there?" Rose asked half-way through their walk to Malfoy Manor.

"Oh who knows? I'm not too sure I much care, actually." Scorpius shrugged. He and Albus had, by silent agreement, decided to not let Rose know anything was different between them yet.

"Besides, it's probably boring stuff about when they were our age." Al rolled his eyes.

"Do you two have no sense of curiosity?" She threw her hands up in exasperation.

Rose didn't leave Malfoy Manor for her own home until around 11 that night. It was the latest she could go home without her parents getting too upset. Al and Scorpius bid each other a hasty good night when they heard Narcissa coming up the stairs to her own room.

A/N: A hit witch is someone who is part of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad at the MoM. They're not as high-up as Aurors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ministry_of_Magic#Department_of_Magical_Law_Enforcement <
Terribly sorry this wasn't out sooner! I had intended for it to be out yesterday, but my cousin came over and she was having a crisis. So I was with her all day.
