part 6
Harry sat in the Great Hall that night during dinner, only picking at the food on his plate. He wasn’t hungry and though Pomfery had given him a potion to stop the nausea, he was wiry of eating much. He was busy thinking about what he was going to do now. He’d have the baby after the school year, but he didn’t know how he was going to hide it from everyone, Snape especially after a few more months. His body had changed a bit over the past month and he knew that he’d start showing soon.
Suddenly that hall went quiet and Harry looked up to see a barn owl fly in through a high window. It was heading toward his table and when it made it to it’s destination it dropped a letter in front of Harry and flew away.
Harry studied the parchment for a moment before tearing the seal open and reading the elegant script, Hermione and Ron peered over his shoulder to read along.
Harry,
I haven’t heard from you in a while and wanted to make sure that everything was alright. How’s life at Hogwarts? Everything here has been alright, just really boring, though I’ve had some things to keep me occupied. As you know, Christmas holidays are coming up in the next couple of weeks and I was wondering if you’d want to spend them here, with me, well and some other people of course. I’ve already talked to the headmaster and he has said that you and your friends are welcome to visit me. Owl me back with your reply. I’ll be waiting.
Yours,
Padfoot
Harry reread the letter a few time trying to decide whether or not it was a good idea to see Sirius in his current condition. The brunet looked to both of his friends, who had smiles of excitement on their faces before nodding his confirmation.
He folded the note back up and tucked it away in his pocket to reply to later that night before looking up to the head table. He met the headmasters shimmering blue eyes and suddenly got the feeling that he knew about Harry’s little visit to the infirmary this morning. He planned to talk to him that night, after dinner. He would have to if he wanted to see his Godfather for the holidays, Surely Dumbledore would have answers for Harry.

Harry’s meeting with the Headmaster went exactly how he’d imagined it. After the offerings of tea and sweets, they sat around and talked about the issue at hand, Harry’s pregnancy. The school nurse had talked to Dumbledore after Harry had left the white walls of the infirmary, telling him all about his visit and what she’d discovered.
Harry wasn’t angry with her, he found himself relieved in fact, because now he himself didn’t have to tell the Headmaster. No, she had done that for him, so they spent their time talking about what Harry was going to do. He’d already made it clear that he was keeping the child and the older wizard didn’t argue with him about it. He instead taught Harry a simple glamour that would hide the baby from un-expecting eyes, the only bad thing that Harry didn’t like was that he couldn’t use the charm until he was at least four months along for risk to the baby. He hoped that his robes would conceal his expanding midsection until then.
Dumbledore also asked many times about the father of the baby, but Harry refused to tell him. He would change the subject by asking another question or he just wouldn’t answer. He’d told the headmaster that he didn’t wish for the father to be told, and reluctantly the old man didn’t say anything more on the matter.
After a while Harry had bid his goodbyes and thank yous and made his way back to the Gryffindor common room, hoping that Ron and Hermione weren’t there so that he could go straight up to bed. He seemed to be a bit more tiered as of late and wanted it to pass.
