Harry and Ron had spent several days at the girls’ flat. The three buddies went on patrol with the slayers by night and hung around by day, travelling by Apparating or Vanishment. Hermione was with them a few times but she spent most of her time with Willow at the Academy because she had to much ‘work’ to do.
That evening, Ron had to go back to England because his father wanted him to apply for a job at the Ministry of Magic Headquarter in London. He said goodbye to his friends and left to get there on time. He had seen Hermione earlier because the girl was going to a Wiccan meeting in the evening.
“So, there’s only the two of us..” Seena sighed and Harry smiled slightly. It was past 9pm, too early for a patrol, but not too late for a walk. They ended up on the beach and stayed there for a while, not saying a word. After a moment, Seena finally broke the silence.
“So, you’re gonna take that Auror’s job? Did they send you an owl yet?”
“No, I have no news, but Dumbledore said he’d keep me in touch with this...This can be a cool job, tho, now that V-man is dead and all the Death Eaters are in Azkaban, it’ll be less intense!”
“Any news about Malfoy?” The Nemesis asked.
“Last time I heard, he was leaving to Durmstrang, to be a Potion teacher or something...Was probably inspired by Snape!” Harry chuckled. “You know I never understood why you still care about him!”
“He’s not a bad guy. You know, he didn’t choose his family and I’ve always know he’d not turn as evil as his father...And after all, I’m the worst bad guy here! But still, you’re my friend, no matter what I’ve done to you!”
“Yeah, it’s not always been easy!” Harry laughed. They became silent for a minute. “I think you should talk to her...”
“And what could I say? ‘Hi Hermione, how’s it going with your new redhead lover?’ ” Seena yelled angrily.
“Look, maybe it’s nothing more than a strong friendship!”
“I know Hermione, Harry. Maybe you know her as a friend, but I know her as a lover. I can see the way she acts and speak with that chick, and I recognize it too well. She was like that when we were in 4th year...Well, when we were in the flirting phase, not the ‘I wanna kill you’ one.” Seena was now pacing in front of him. She kicked a rock which went lying far away until it was out of sight. Harry watched his friend with compassion. It was hard for him to see her like that. Seena and Hermione were his best friends, along with Ron, and he felt torn apart between the two of them.
“Just talk to her and you’ll figure-” Harry was cut by the girl’s cellphone. She checked the caller ID on the screen.
“It’s Faith...I should take it.” Harry nodded and waited.
“Hey. What’s going on?”
“Waow, you sound terrible” The slayer said teasingly “Anyway, we have an emergency!New bad guy, get your ass here!” she hung up and Seena sighed.
“We gotta go, new bad guy.”
“Actually, I should go back to Sirius, he doesn’t like being alone too long. But I’ll see you in a few okay? Tell everyone I say bye.” Seena nodded and hugged the wizard.
“Thanks for all man..”
“Take care of yourself, both of you, promise?”
“I will...” The girl replied and patted his shoulder. The two of them disapeared from the beach smiling to each other.
