Lucius was sitting in front of his fireplace in his study when Draco’s owl flew in. He blinked and moved over to it as it held out is leg for him to take the letter from. He slowly removed the letter and glanced at the bird.
“Do you want to stay for a reply or does this even need one?” Lucius asked the bird. The bird flipped its wings a moment before taking off leaving Lucius alone. Lucius shrugged at that knowing the letter was probably just news from Hogwarts if the bird wasn’t waiting for a reply. He opened the letter and scanned it. His eyes actually widened as he read of everything that had happened to the boy who lived. He then almost dropped the letter as he reached the Famille Potion and the Famille Blood Glamour.
Lucius tightened his hold on the letter then folded it carefully. He pulled his wand out of the cane he always carried and cast a quick tempus. Seeing the time he went to his fire place to floo to Riddle manor and the dark lord. Voldemort needed to know of the changes going on.
Lucius moved quickly into the audience chamber of the manor. He saw Lord Voldemort sitting on his throne in thought and moved to the base of the chair and knelt with his head lowered in respect as he waited for recognition. The crimson eyed man looked towards Lucius and frowned a moment.
“What is it Lucius?” He asked in his clam dark voice. Lucius slowly stood then looked up at Voldemort.
“My lord, I come with important news from Hogwarts.” Lucius stated causing Voldemort to look at the blond with serious eyes.
“And that news is?” Voldemort asked impatience audible in his voice. Lucius gasped as the doors were thrown open and Severus came running in the knelt at the floor for the barest of moments.
“My lord you must cease all attacks you have planned to take out Potter immediately!” Severus cried out causing Voldemort to snarl and lift his wand.
“Severus you have interrupted me when I was in Audience with Lucius if you do not give me one good reason for your treacherous words immediately I will crucia you into imbecility.” Voldemort snarled angrily. Lucius winced at his lords words and glanced at Severus as he gulped and slowly held a parchment out for the man. Voldemort tore the page from Severus and read it. He frowned then sniffed at the parchment.
“Where is the original?” He asked is anger not abated.
“I’m sorry my lord. One copy is with the Headmaster I could not prevent and the other seems to have been stolen. That information will be in the Prophet by morning.” Severus reported. Lucius frowned then looked at Voldemort.
“May I make a guess and that parchment Severus brought is about Potter not actually being a Potter?” Lucius smirked as Severus nodded to him.
“Of course you may Lucius. I’m guessing your son sent you a letter about all this. Oh also the boy came up to me and said something on the first day. Or rather he sent me an interesting letter. It stated that the light was losing their golden boy and was I on the right side in that situation.” Severus stated. Lucius looked at the dark haired potion master as did Voldemort.
“In other words my servants the prophecy child is refusing to fight thus eliminating that threat, and he informed you of this before this assignment that shows him as my son rather than Potters?” He growled. Severus nodded and shifted a bit on his feet.
“Yes my lord. It seems he believes the prophecy already fulfilled.” Severus stated. Lucius smirked.
“He does. It’s in the letter Draco sent me as is the full prophecy.” Lucius stated and handed the letter over to Voldemort so the man could read it for himself. Voldemort read it then smirked at his two most loyal followers.
“It seems that Harry’s thoughts on the prophecy might just be true. I say we invite him over the holidays to visit. I’m sure you can set it up Lucius.” Voldemort said with a smirk. The boy would be his heir if ever should his attempts at immortality fail.
“Easily, as it seems Draco and him are getting very close now.” Lucius stated with a bow. Voldemort nodded then looked at Severus.
“Severus you must not let the old man interfere in Harry’s life and try to turn the boy against me again.” Voldemort warned. Severus bowed once more then smirked.
“That should be no problem my lord. It seems Harry’s dislike for the candy loving fool is lower than how he used to feel about me.” Severus stated causing Voldemort to smirk.
“That is good to know. I am going to attempt to open the link between him and me tonight and see if we can not talk calmly within each others minds. If you will warn him of this Severus.” Voldemort stood and began to leave his audience chamber.
“Of course my lord.” Severus stated then turned to leave as did Lucius with a slight smirk on his lips. Severus hurried back to Hogwarts glad he had arrived when he had to give Voldemort the news about Harry.

Classes ended for the day and Harry turned to head towards the Medical wing. Draco wasn’t with him at the moment the two having several different classes. Harry leaned back and looked up at the ceiling for a moment then shook his head. His right hand was still stiff from the earlier healing but he knew after today everything would be back to normal.
The halls he was taking were fairly quiet. He had chosen to take a back way since he was on his own and didn’t want to run into any of the Gryffindor’s. They seemed to of taken his changes the worst. He laughed coldly at the thought. It didn’t really matter anymore to him that the changes had happened. In the end he figured it was probably for the best.
He looked up at the door which he had gone through many a time both conscious and unconscious. He shook his head and shut his cold eyes for a moment before opening the door. He stepped through quietly to hear Poppy Pomfrey seeming to whistle as she tidied up the medical wing. Harry raised an eyebrow just slightly and glanced around.
“Did something happen to already make a mess of the medical wing, Madame Pomfrey?” Harry asked. He kept walking inward as Poppy nodded to him.
“Accident in First Year Potions with Hufflepuff’s and Ravenclaw’s.” Poppy explained then motioned for Harry to sit on one of the beds. He moved onto it quickly and nodded with a slight cold but understanding laugh.
“In other words, a large mess with a few minor injuries but a lot of goop.” Harry stated as Poppy began to go over him checking the damage she had already healed. She repaired the damage she had been unable to heal before hand then nodded slowly.
“Exactly Harry. I’m glad you understood what happened right away. It’s rare for a student to pick up on these things right away.” Poppy said. She pulled away from Harry after a moment then went into the cupboard and pulled out a single potion. She came back over to Harry and handed it to him. Harry looked at the potion then at Poppy.
“Drink now or later?” Harry asked preventing the groan he felt building in his mind from being vocalized. He hated having to drink medical potions. They always left a terrible taste in his mouth.
“Drink it now Harry. Then I pray I don’t see you for the rest of the year.” Poppy said with a slight encouraging smile. Harry nodded and gulped down the potion as best he could. Once he placed the vial down, he stood and left the medical wing.
Harry walked down towards the Great Hall. He didn’t want to run into any of the more violent Gryffindor’s as he walked alone. He knew he could defend himself but while in the school he felt he should not need to. He looked up and stiffened seeing a large group of Gryffindor's slowly turning a corner ahead of him. He glanced to one side and saw an alcove that he quickly slid into to hide.
He watched from the darkened alcove as they chatted then grinned at each other he wondered what it was they were talking about. One stopped and he once more saw Ron who started to laugh. He wondered what his one time best friend was thinking of.
“You know what guys. We should head for the infirmary. I bet that Potter is just leaving the place now!” Ron said with a laugh. The others looked at him then grinned and turned that way. Harry shivered realizing if he had waited to leave he would have been caught by the group. His green eyes hardened at this as once they were out of sight he stalked to the great hall where he sat down at his usual seat next to Draco.
“What’s wrong Harry?” Draco asked softly seeing how stiff and angry Harry seemed. Harry glanced at Draco and smirked a moment as he ate.
“Ron remembered something about my previous years here and decided to talk about it a bit to a group of Gryffidor’s so they could attempt something on me.” Harry explained his voice deadly even. Draco nodded slowly and placed a hand on Harry’s shoulder. Harry leaned back with a sigh shaking his head.
“Well at least that part of your year is done. Right?” Draco asked as he filled his plate with food.
“Yeah no more hassle with Poppy, well unless I get injured during the year again.” Harry pointed out as Draco shrugged.
“We won’t let that happen Harry your one of us.” Draco stated and smirked. Harry chuckled coldly as Severus Snape came up behind the two. He looked down at Draco the Harry and took a deep breath.
“Harry the headmaster wishes to see you after dinner.” He stated. Harry looked up at Severus then nodded.
“Of course sir. I will go up to his office directly after supper.” Harry said calmly. He wondered what it was that the old coot wanted in the back of his mind as he leaned back a bit.
“Harry you going to be alright going up there alone?” Draco asked softly. Harry smirked at Draco and nodded.
“I should be fine. If I am judging things right Professor Snape will be with me when I go up there.” Harry stated and smirked before finishing his share of the food. Draco nodded and finished his dinner just before the food vanished from the table to be replaced by dessert. Harry quietly took a bowl of pudding and began to eat it calmly. Draco smiled as he ate his own but watched Harry absentmindedly sucking on his spoon.
Draco shook his head and quickly looked away from Harry as desire raced through him. He was actually wishing he was that spoon. He shook his head a bit to clear his thoughts drawing Harry’s attention once more to him. Harry did a half smirk as he finished the last of his pudding.
“Something wrong Draco you seem distracted.” Harry asked as he began to move away from the table.
“No nothing.” Draco said a bit too quickly. Harry laughed softly and moved behind Draco a moment as though in thought. He then looked around the Great Hall. Seeing Ron watch him he smirked darkly at the boy before leaning over and kissing the top of Draco’s head causing Draco to jump a bit as the rest of the Great Hall gasped out in surprise. Harry then turned and walked out of the place still smirking.
Draco looked at the other Slytherin's around the table and shifted a bit nervously. He was in shock at the fact Harry had kissed him in a way. He wondered in the back of his mind what it meant. There was no way Harry desired him was there?
Harry just walked towards the headmaster’s office a true smile on his face the whole was as he thought on the scent and softness of Draco’s white blond hair. In so many ways Draco was physically light where Harry was darkness. Harry chuckled and stopped in front of the gargoyle, that lead to the headmaster’s office to await his head of house.
He watched as Severus walked up the stairs towards the Gargoyle his robes billowing as though to suck up all traces of light. He then glared at Harry shaking his head. He was shocked the boy had done that in the great hall.
“Harry Potter you are not a Gryffindor why would you kiss even if it was the top of the head another student?” Severus growled in rage at Harry. Harry laughed darkly then shook his head a moment.
“Professor Snape I was not working on Gryffindor ideals when I kissed Draco’s head. I was showing all the people of the Great Hall that Draco was under my protection and should anyone harm me they will suffer my full wrath. I was also showing that I am not fully devoid of emotion as some seem to think. I was also making it clear to the Gryffindor’s where my loyalties lay.” Harry stated and smirked at the obviously shocked Professor.
“I am far to used to looking at you as a Gryffindor. I never even thought of what meanings such a motion could have.” Severus growled upset with himself for being so blind. Harry chuckled darkly at his teacher’s discomposure.
“Ah, but Professor Snape, you see that is half the fun. Most in the Great Hall did not realize the true meaning of that and won’t for several weeks. During that time they will be confused and off balance, thus giving me peace for a bit.” Harry pointed out. Severus blinked then shook his head wondering how this boy had ever been placed into Gryffindor.
“Fine Harry it that is the way of it. Licorice Snaps.” Severus said causing the Gargoyle to jump aside. Harry and Severus began the final ascent up to the Headmaster’s office.
