The Fantastic Quartet

Ginny walked forward and stood in the centre of the room. She thought of the fact she was no longer human, the fact she looked like a human sized fairy, from out of a winter wonderland. She felt a rage like never before sweep through her, very much like the thunder storm she was about to create.

She floated off the ground and into the air, as she held both of her arms up spread out wide above her head, her palms laid open. Then a slight breeze started to pick up, until a strong wind was howling around them.

They looked on in awe and in a little fear, as thunder and lightening struck and flashed violently in the sky. They all took in the sight of Ginny’s hair and dress blowing around her, and her eyes glowed, a bright blinding white, as her head was thrown back, and thunder crackled from the palms of her hands.

Soon they all had to conjure shields to protect themselves, as the wind double in its speed, as a hurricane was added into the mix, causing rain and violent, howling winds to beat against the shields. Everyone, including Severus looked on in terror, as they spotted the rapidly swirling tunnel of a tornado approaching, followed by a second and third and then a fourth, each getting larger and wider by the second. Everyone was truly terrified when a raging blizzard and hail stone was added into the mix.

Then as abruptly as it had started it all ceased. Beautiful fluffy white clouds and a stunning blue sky was the back drop for a bright and warm sun. everyone let out a weary sigh of relief, as Ginny slowly descended, until her feet touched the ground once more, and she looked up, with eyes that were back to being silver instead of pure stark white.

They all lowered their shields as Ginny turned to look at them and grinned sheepishly and shrugged. She spoke apologetically “Sorry you lot, it’s just the first time I’ve used my powers, and I wanted to see how firm a grasp I have on them, and what I’m capable of.”

Minerva commented “It would seem you have an extremely firm grasp. Tell me are your abilities to control the weather influenced by your emotions, by any chance, Miss Weasley?”

Ginny sighed and nodded “Yes professor, I believe they are, as I had been thinking of how much my life had changed and has been turned upside down, and will continue to change, whether I like it not.”

Harry commented “Well, Gin, I have no idea if I’ll be setting myself up for a world of sheer terror, if I was to ask whether you’re going to show your other powers.” Ginny smiled sweetly at him before walking forwards and grabbing him by both hands, before shooting up into the air and floated in mid air, still holding Harry’s hands.

Harry said “Ok. Now let me go, so I can get down.” Ginny shrugged and let go of his hands, causing him to start free falling for a moment or two, before Harry burst into flames all over, and flew towards the ground in a rapid fiery blur. He then landed beside Ron.

Ginny then proceeded to fly around happily. Albus exclaimed “Ah Miss Weasley, I do believe you shall never need to use a broom again out of necessity. I’m certain every witch and wizard has wondered what it would be like to fly without the aid of a broomstick.”

Ginny said “It’s so wonderfully liberating, so freeing, even better and more thrilling then it is when on a broom. I’m free to do as I please, I don’t have to navigate like I do on a broom. I love it.”

Ginny flew downwards and landed smoothly on the ground. She then turned invisible, much to everyone’s amazement, that amazement soon turned to paranoia, as they realised too late, that she could do anything she pleased without them knowing what she was doing, as they could not see her.

Harry swatted at thin air, when he felt something tug on his braid, Ron did the same a moment later. Albus chuckled as his beard was given a gentle tug. Severus felt a slightly breeze blow up the back of his robes. He scowled knowing who was causing that.

Minerva jumped slightly as she felt her glasses being removed. She exclaimed “Oh, really, Miss Weasley, do give me back my glasses.” Minerva was slightly disconcerted to see her glasses floating in mid air. She sighed as the glasses were placed on the edge of her nose. She shook her head and pushed them up her nose.

Hermione shivered when she felt warmth spread against the back of her neck. She said “Oh, honestly Ginny, do cut that out, it’s so frustrating and distracting.”

Next it was Sirius and Remus who were the next targets. Sirius mocked scowled and tried swotting at the air around him, as his hair was ruffle playfully. Remus listened carefully and sniffed the air. He quickly reached out a hand when he felt his hair being ruffled. He could feel something warm and solid in his grasp.

Everyone heard a delighted little giggle, then a tinkling laugh, as Remus startled, as suddenly the warmth was gone and what appeared to be some kind of mist escaped from his grasp. They all watched as the mist passed though both he and Sirius, causing them both to shiver at the cool sensation.

The mist then disappeared though a wall that suddenly appeared out of no where, followed by a large mirror. The mist soon turned into a shadow that appeared against another wall that appeared out of no where. They watched as the shadow waved and gave the peace sign, before saluting.

Finally she reappeared and walked up to Sirius and said “Do I have your permission to demonstrate my last power; I promise there will be no physical pain, although the same can’t be said for your pride and precious male ego?”

Sirius narrowed his eyes and said, with a clear challenge to his tone of voice “Do your worst little girl.” Ginny smirked deviously at him before looking deeply into his eyes. She said in a soft and dreamy like tone of voice that had hunting quality to it. “Sirius Black, I want you to change into Padfoot, bark and chase your tail.” Sirius did as he was told, even in his Animagus form; his eyes were glazed over, from being hypnotised.

Harry, Hermione and Ron laughed, as Padfoot barked and chased his tail, running around in a circle. Remus chuckled at the familiar sight; it truly never got old, as far as he was concerned.

Ginny commanded “Now stop.” Padfoot did as he was told. Ginny then instructed him “Now Sirius Black, I want you to change back into your human form, then dance an Irish jig.” The other three members including Remus burst out laughing at this, as he complied.

Minerva didn’t know whether to laugh or sigh with exasperation. Severus looked on stonily; he was hardly amused in the least, by the display of antics in front of him. Albus chuckled; his blue eyes were twinkling like crazy, from behind half moon shaped spectacles.

Ginny giggled as she clicked her fingers, releasing Sirius from the trance. Sirius looked dazed for a moment before he flushed brightly and glared at Ginny, who giggled happily. He grumbled “Merlin, I cannot believe you made me dance a bloody Irish jig.”

Hermione asked “Wait a minute, how come he remembers what you made him do. I presumed he would not remember?” Ginny replied “I can decide whether the individual on the receiving end of the trance remembers or not, and what details I do and do not wish for them to remember.”

Ginny added “Ok that’s me done; now it’s your turn Hermione.” Hermione nodded and took a deep breath as she stepped forward and Ginny went and stood by Harry and teasingly pulled on his braid, causing him to playfully swat her.
